We stay at Turtle two weeks ago. They claim to be the most beautiful hotel on Boracay. This is fictional statement on their web location and in their ads. Hotel location is not close to beach and price does not consider distant to beach. After walk from beach save some energy to ply the stairs. The Inn stairs to get up and down are everywhere. If you are on third floor that is a problem if you are old, child, have infliction or drinking. The American bloke who manages the place Troy will give you advice on where to carry on at night, pubs etc. If you like pubs this is good place to stay if you don’t mind the stairs when you return to Inn after you tip a few too many mugs. All other reviews seem to agree. If you are a family, have seniors with you or kids and don’t drink or if you do drink and don’t want to climb stairs or just want to seek solace this B&B is not for you. This is not a family hotel. It can be dangerous for kids in upper quarters or if you dont eye them closely. I suggest to Inn, to put away the jug, stop the ongoing construction and meet all guests needs not just jolly makers. Change your ad to show correct Inn details. Hotel stairs up and down are tiring and may be a bit of an added danger when raining.

I have been looking for affordable accomodation a month before our trip to boracay and came across turtle inn..after asking my boyfriend, Allan, if the place was OK with him, on agreeing, i immediately booked a room for us.

Our flight to Kalibo was 8.55 am but got delayed for a few minutes, i was worried that nobody will pick us up since i told them that we would be arriving at 9 am, surprizingly, when we landed and was about to go to the baggage claim, there it was! my name on a card, the guy said our "companion" is outside the shed waiting for us.and that was about 10.30 am already..i was soo relieved. So turned out his name is June..He was very helpful all the way, carrying our luggages and making sure we are ok..So sweet!

Upon arrival we were welcomed by Jenny (June's wife) and led us to our beautiful room (room 10)..And there came our welcome drinks (ponkana juice, if im not mistaken...my fave!)

We had a little patio but couldn't stay out cuz its raining or showering..

After taking a rest we were off to see the island and the owner, Troy, was very helpful..giving us advices and tips on where to go and what to do.He even said he'll send someone to pick us up if ever we got lost and all we need to do is call them. Fortunately we didnt get lost nor got wasted ;)

The place is very easy to find, even if it's a little inside, since they have a road constructed uniquely so we could find our way.

We stayed for 4D/3N, and our 2nd day after island hopping we were given a basket of fruit, very sweet indeed. We met troy's wife mhalen on the 3rd day and the couple suggested us to go to pukka beach and was kind enough to lend us 2 towels in case we go there. We didn't cuz we did our water sports that day (last day) but we were grateful for the kindness really..

Before leaving we asked jenny to get us someone to pick us up on checking out, and that morning, there was a tricycle then waiting for us, Jenny sent us and asked her hubby to help out (which btw was mixing cement) and he did stop immediately and help us out , apologizing for the dirty hands..

The entire staff are soo accommodating you will definitely feel at home..Except, it was mentioned that they're new and true indeed, the room we had are lacking some stuff still but im sure they are working on it..Didnt bother me much since i came to boracay for fun and i soo much enjoyed staying there that i might stay with them the next time i go there. Cant wait til u have they have the swimming pool ready..

Thanks everyone for making our stay Superb!

We booked a 3 night stay at the Turtle Inn Hotel in Boracay based on the good review from Trip Advisor. Based on the pictures that the guests posted, it seems like a decent & nice place to stay. But we were shocked when we arrived in the hotel. We have to travelled using the tricycle as the big jeepney/ car wont fit through the small alley entrance to the hotel from the Caticlan jetty. From the main road, it is a 8-10 minutes walk to the hotel. To the beach, it is about 4-5 minutes walk.

The hotel furnishings definetely needs some renovation as it looks old. Seems like all of the furnitures (bed frame, side table, clothes cabinet) are hand made except the ratan/ plastic chairs & table which they bought. The bathroom definetely needs some hard scrubbing, and the water pressure was awful. Since the room is located on the highest floor, there is no water pressure at all. They need to invest in a good water pumps so at least the guest can take shower adequately.

And what's worse was their 10 "commandments"/ rules. Rule 1: You cannot wash your clothings inside the room. Rule 2: You must leave your room key at the front desk. If you lost your key, you will be charged 200 pesos for it.
... and there are many other rules that they listed on what you can/ cannot do.

As a guest, wouldn't it be normal for you to wash your clothes inside the room? After you swim on the beach, get some of your clothes dirty, etc.. it is just normal for the guest to wash their clothes in the room. And the other rule about leaving the room key at the front desk.. I rather bring my keys with me rather than leaving it at the front desk for my own personal safety reasons plus they do not have safety box in the room.. I just feel intimidated with this rules.

Although I have to say that the manager, Jenny and her assistants tried to make our stay nice, it was just a real dissapointment for us. When we arrived, we were greeted very nicely by them, but when we arrive in our room, we were completely shocked. We were wondering where we should stand & sit as it was just utterly dissapointing.

Although we booked for a 3 night stay, we cannot bear to stay for another 2 nights after the first night arrival. In the end, we forfeited our 2 night stay (as according to Jenny the Manager, she cannot manage to sell our rooms to another guests..) and we booked ourselves to Shangrila Hotel that costs us about 500usd per night as all of the other hotels were fully booked. Although Shangrila charged us a very high rate during the other 2 nights, we feel that it was worth every penny. Turtle Inn charged us about 130usd for our room stay per night. But the actual room stay was only worth 45-60usd. Just because it was a Chinese New Year Holiday, they charged us prime rate.

All in all, we will rate Turtle Inn as a 1 star hotel category. Make sure your bring a hair dryer as they do not have any in the room. Bring a Hot water boiler if you have children as they come really handy if you need to make milk for them. Bring a super lock for your luggage as they do not have safety box in the room. Bring an insect spray as there are many ants in the room. Bring a bleach in case you need to clean the bathroom. And bring a towel as their towels looks old & dirty.

Although the management really tried to make our stay nice (they are friendly, and tried to be hospitable), we have to say that we are truly dissapointed with the hotel stay.

We have just returned from a 4-day stay at Turtle Inn, and all I can say is that, it seems we actually never left home. The room was too comfortable, to the point that it was too dificult for us to get up in the morning, we practically wanted to sleep all day. Our room was furnished with a queen size orthopedic bed, so the frequent backpains we usually experience when booking in most hotels, was totally not an issue. To spice up more on the comfort of our room, first class Canadian linens where used, which were all immaculately white! Bath, hand and face towels were provided and changed daily, and like the pillowcases/sheets, they were all immaculately white. Our room had a brand new aircon, tv and ref. It also had a minibar, and items were all reasonably priced. The room was also provided with sachets of 3in1 nescafe, and an electric water boiler, should guests wish to have coffee at anytime of the day, and they were free of charge!

But, it wasn't just the comfort of the room that made me say that it was a HOME AWAY FROM HOME. The best thing about Turtle Inn was the personal touch that Troy, the owner, gave to his guests. My daughter and I arrived on a Wednesday, and next morning, I asked Manang Merlie, the chambermaid, where Troy was, as we wanted him to help us with our boating trip. Manang Merlie replied that Troy was still asleep as he waited for us all night, as no one in the resort ever noticed us come in at around 10 pm of Wednesday. He waited till almost past 1 am, and was worried howcome we weren't back yet when we said that we were just going out to have dinner. And when it seemed that it will take forever for us to return, did he ask Manang Merlie to go up and check us in our room. Even Toto, Troy's handyman and Manang Merlie waited all night with Troy.

Our stay at Turtle Inn wasn't a package, and the rate quoted to us just covered the accomodation. But on the morning we arrived, we were welcomed with 2 tall glasses of orange juice. Not just that, on our next morning, we were served with eggs, strips of bacon, slices of bread and coffee for breakfast. And on our last night, Troy invited us to have shakes at a nearby resort. And after having our shakes, he treated us for a few more drinks while chatting with a few of his foreigner friends. He introduced us to Jen and her boyfriend Joey, the owner of Red Pirates.

Saturday was our departure. As I have said, our trip wasn't on a package, but still upon checking out, Troy informed us that Toto, Troy's handyman, will be seeing us off at Cagban port. To my surprise, even Frankie, Troy's son, went along, infact he even helped Toto with our luggage! Where in the world will you ever see this kind of hospitality and care for their guests? I'm sure only at Turtle Inn!!!

Though the resort isn't along the beachfront, it is just a 2-minute walk away from the beach. The pathwalk is paved and well lighted, and the neighbors are very friendly and courteous. Infact there was no day that the neighbors won't greet us with a smile and a good morning/afternoon/evening.

It was our first time in Boracay, and there was never a time that we visited a vacation spot twice. But we will definitely be coming back sometime in March or April! And what's more definite is our 2nd stay at Turtle Inn! See you guys (Troy, Frankie and the rest) in 6 or 7 months!!!

Before our trip to Boracay, the hotel was chosen based on review ratings on booking.com and trip advisor. However, upon arrival, the hotel was genuinely a disappointment which we failed to comprehend why such a place would deserve the ratings it receives. The hotel has worn out reception, substandard room and inaccessibility to the beach which involves a dirty back alley walkway.
The overall experience is highly unpleasant with the hotel being completely overpriced for what it is. The least disappointing thing about this hotel is probably the staff who are somewhat helpful. Nevertheless, don't expect an impressive service. For anyone who wants to enjoy the best of Boracay, be sure to avoid this hotel.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of February and I had researched lots after having a bad experience at the eurotel last time I came here. I am from the UK but live in ph and had my mother visiting so decided to go with a hotel with the best reviews and I am so glad I did. So key points are
1 - customer service second to none absolutely outstanding
2- cleanliness amazing, rooms cleaned and fresh towels daily
3- price , great value for money not just for people from the UK but also for local filipinos, the prices are in line with the rest of the Philippines opposed to boracays inflated prices. We spent in total £34 on our tab for 5 nights this included extras at breakfast like bacon or omelettes, drinks on numerous nights in the bar, our mini bar etc.
4- complimentary breakfast and coffee waiting for you when you wake up
5- it's so peaceful you aren't aware of anyone else
6 - it's family run and has loyal staff so there is no risk of theft etc from rooms which you often find in other hotels.

To top it all off after our amazing stay I realised I had forgotten my charger and as soon as I notified Turtle Inn it was in the post to me which I received the next day with no extra charge!!!

This is not a seafront hotel and is not the poshest either but it is definitely the best and I will be staying here again. It's a few mins from the beach and within leisurely walking distance to all the hustle and bustle of station 2 !!

Well done Turtle Inn

As you can imagine as a returned guest I like the place. Here is why:

Location
Boracay's white beach stretch of circa 4km is divided in 3 areas (stations).
TI is wonderfully located in station 3 in a quiet neighborhood just 3 minutes walk to the beach front. In 15 to 20 minutes of a leisurely and pleasant beach walk you can be in the heart of station 2 where most crowds are gathered if that's your thing. The beach life in station 3 is quiet and a lot less congested than that of the other two stations. In TI you will sleep tight without the hassle of the "you've got no talent singing" noise of the beach front establishments.

Accommodation
Spottlesly clean rooms, daily serviced, always done with obvious great care. Our linen were changed without being asked and our towels were fresh with a nice scent. Shower worked well and warm water was available throughout our stay. Internet in the room was as expected sufficient.

Service
Outstanding. I guess that's what makes TI a preferred stay in boracay. The extra mile was never an issue there. Breakfast was served any time we were awoken. Fair breakfast options were on offer always prepared on the spot and on desire. TI gained our trust from the very beginning and we never even bothered to check our extras. The secret of TI I guess lies between the two ladies (sisters) who run this business. One is technically super competent and reliable and the other lady is an astute with guest relations. We were so happy and lucky to meet them both as well as the rest of the staff who helped make our stay very agreeable.

Food
Good quality, delicious and reasonably priced. Simple as expected options. We are mostly appreciative that TI treated all the guests on new year's eve with a buffet dinner and I enjoyed the barbecue chicken so much.

In a nutshell we loved TI and we had a wonderful time on the island. Thanks to them we met some very nice people (Rick, Sam, Dennis) which for me is the essence of travelling.

I shall return.

Arrived at the hotel around 7pm. The footpath leading to the hotel is quite dark at night. But, still safe to walk. From the hotel to white beach is only 5 minutes on foot. Hotel staff is polite and helpful in providing information. Restaurant serves nice filipino food. Overall is a good stay.

The staff really make this place. Nothing is to much trouble and they really look after you. The hotel is located in station 3 - close enough to the nightlife that we could stumble home but still quiet so we could get a great sleep. Breakfast is basic but to be honest we nearly always slept through! Great value. Thanks to all the staff!

We’re finally getting around to rating the Turtle Inn. The most recent stay of 13 nights was our 5th stay at the Turtle Inn, 5 years in a row! One question, why have we come back to the Turtle Inn? It actually feels like coming home, the staff are fantastic, the meals are great and the price is right! The resort is off White Beach near station 3 just far enough to ensure a peaceful nights sleep. The air conditioned rooms are clean, and beach towels are available when required at no cost.

If you let Turtle Inn know your arrival time and flight number at the Caticlan airport they will come and pick you up at the airport. It’s an added cost but totally worth it. We’ve done it on our own but is much quicker and smoother when Jessie is there to look after things. Plus, it’s always great to be met by his familiar face! This is especially important when you arrive in the country with out adequate local currency for tricycle fare to the jetty, enviro fees, port fees and fare for the actual ferry. Don’t forget transportation from the jetty on Boracay to the resort! Jesse looks after it all!

We enjoy coffee and tea on the patio with breakfast daily. They are willing to customize meals to meet dietary restrictions. We never worried about ordering something beyond the free breakfast menu because the price has always been fair. They don’t have seafood on their dinner menu but are more than willing to get all your choices from the wet market and cook up a feast for a reasonable cost.

You can arrange for your laundry to be done. They’ll take it out to the local laundry and pick it up and just add the cost to your bill. We’ve always found the price reasonable and have appreciated them dropping off and picking up so we don’t have to worry about it or take time out from our day.

The rooms and facility are keep very clean and there is always someone available if you have a question or need anything. One nice thing, anyone coming into the resort goes by the front desk so staff know who is coming in. This is nice from a security standpoint.

Although it isn’t an issue for us, there are a lot of steps so if you have mobility problems this might not be a place for you. Even the lower rooms have some steps to navigate.

All the staff are awesome and go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. We love it here and over the 5 years we’ve stayed we’ve appreciated their service and friendship. We have celebrated a few wedding anniversaries there and they have always made them special!

The family own and operated Turtle Inn is an excellent choice for a vacation in Boracay. We book early because they have a clientele of repeat customers!
