We spent a total of five days here. A little bit hard to find but its location proved to be a haven from the buzz and thrust of both the main road and the beach front.
Staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served individually to your balcony which was a really nice bonus.
Our room and balcony was really spacious.
AC, WiFi and room facilities were spot on.
It was well worth using the hotel staff to arrange the transfer back to the airport as negotiating your way through the TuTu drivers, the ferry terminal tickets, the ferry boat tickets, the environmental fees can be a little bit confusing.
All in all we would definitely stay here again.,

We spent the Christmas holidays at this beautiful quiet resort very close to the white sand beach. It is an oasis with many potted plants and surprisingly spacious rooms. The staff really cares and are extremely attentive and helpful. We felt like part of the family, so much so that we had a really hard time leaving again.

The hotel is hid away from the hustle & bustle of the night life, but yet only a few minute walk to the white beach. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and spacious, as well they keep all the grounds looking assume.
Well done to Jeny and her incredible staff.

We were staying on our honeymoon at this place for a week. Everything works out easily and the stuff were very kind. We appreciate also upgrading our room and for getting little extra attention because of the honeymoon. And the beach is nearly at the backyard.

I was planning a scuba diving trip to the Philippines, and after finding a diving shop to dive with, I had asked them for hotel / resort reccomendations that are close to the dive shop. I was then given the name of Turtle Inn Boracay.

When I went to the website, still in progess, I did not find an easy way to book and pay for the hotel, so I made a call to the Philippines and spoke with the manager. She directed me to a way to do so from antoher web site, however, since I was making last minute accomodations, I was not able to pre pay for the room. Still, it was reserved for me.

When I landed in Manila, I again called the manager and indicated what flight I would be arriving in Caticlan with. She said she would have someone there to pick us up.

The flight to Caticlan was late, yet, on arrival there indeed was two persons with my name on a sign awaiting to carry our bags to the trike. A short ride, and short boat ride later we were at Turtle Inn.

We got the deluxe room, which offered a top floor and larger balcony. A nice view, and very private. It was clear that the resort was new and still being constructed in some areas. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds, cable TV and a mini bar with very affordable prices.

When I was there in early July, 06, construction of the resort's bar and restoraunt was not yet finished however, the resort had a deal with a local restorant to be able to bring food to order as room service. A nice touch while still in construction. The customer service did not stop there. From laundry, to fresh bananas in the morning the resort staff took care of every need. The owner, Troy, introduced himself and also went out of his way to ensure all of our requests were met, from dining ideas to drinking holes.

The apparent partnership between Turtle Inn and Dive Gurus was great. Perhaps it was a friendship that had forged it first. Whatever the case, the two entities worked hand in hand to accomodate our needs. Troy had joined us for a drink at the bar located in the dive shop after a day of diving. Inexepsive drinks, good company, a wonderful tropical breeze and view of the sunset, with dinner provided by the Indian quisine located above the dive shop, the experience was absolutely spectactular!

I can not say enough good things about Turtle Inn Boracay and will surely stay there again in the future!

.Michael

I dont agree with the reviews. If you want a hotel where at 4am people are drinking and loud this is the hotel for you. We stayed in station 3 for quiet area. Otherwise we could pay less and stay in stat. 2. Bar is in middle of hotel and loud. Guests can drink all night. We there first week of Feb. and will not return. Beg and remind are two words you will need to know to get your room cleaned or sheets changed. Room is hot by day. Our complaints of noise not minded. Party goers this hotel for you, or better stat 2. families you will not be happy. Prices are less on beach.

This was by far the worst resort I have ever stayed at. In fact, we lasted for 2 hours. Upon arrival, we were told the room we booked wasn't available. So we went to find another resort. When we returned we told them we would be checking out the next day. The owner came to speak with us, who had already been drinking and with a beer in his hand. He said we had to pay for all the nights we orginally booked. We decided we were still going to leave and then he STOLE a piece of our luggage out of my aunty's hand. We had to go to the police the very next day and it took the whole day to get our luggage back. I had returned to the resort to pick it up with the officers and I was told by the manager to [--], and I was given the middle finger, how PROFESSIONAL!!

This resort overlooks shanty town, its not very nice, and the owners are miserable people. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this resort!

Response from boracaytroy, owner at Turtle Inn Resort
Responded Feb 20, 2009
I, as the owner of Turtle Inn Resort hate to do this if u stayed at Turtle Inn i am sure u know me i am lay back and never get mad the only thing I do is Show the guest the Island and where to eat ,party and serve them drinks.I let Jenny my manager run the show and deal with guest ,but this person has tried to use trip adviser to blackmail me to let her go to another hotel saying she would write a bad review if i didn't do this.It was not even up to me it was her booking agent that told her she needed to pay for the booking, she booked way in advance with hostel world. this is on Chinese new year and we turned down over 100 inquires for rooms because we where fully booked. we held her room and gave her the best room in the hotel and when she said she didn't want to walk up stairs we told her we would put her in a 1st. floor room the next day nothing we did seemed to safer her most likely she had all ready rented a room some where else and just wanted to get out of the booking.NOTE TURTLE INN gave her a choice to only pay 50% of the booking, This is something no other hotel would do .We all need to read all reviews good or bad and look at the intent of the reviewer this ones intent is not review, Turtle Inn but to do nothing but hurt the hotels reputation.

After a terrible experience at Lingganay Hotel Resort, Boracay (see my review), Turtle Inn proved the perfect antidote.

Turtle Inn is not 'grand' like Lingannay, but it could teach the arrogant owner of Lingannay a lot about what service really means.

Unlike Lingganay, the well-trained friendly staff keep the show on the road. And they all speak English - UNLIKE Lingganay.

Staff were particularly impressive dealing with requests. Our air con unit was fixed very promptly - UNLIKE Lingganay.

The security guard was friendly and did not point a loaded shotgun in our faces - UNLIKE Lingganay.

There was no construction to wake us up at 6.46am on a Sunday morning - UNLIKE Lingganay.

Resto food is good with generous servings. A decent menu to choose from at very affordable prices - UNLIKE Lingganay.

Turtle Inn is close to the action on White Beach - so shopping, going out, etc., was easy. We don't have to rely on a dodgy Shuttle service from 'in-the-middle-of-nowhere' Lingganay and my partner did not have to suffer the attentions of a sex pest driver - UNLIKE Lingganay.

At half of the price of Lingganay and yet so close to White Beach, Turtle Inn demonstrates excellent value and service can still be found in Boracay. It's not posh, but pleasant, clean rooms and it is down-to-earth, safe and secure - UNLIKE Lingganay.

Oh, and did I mention the owner of Turtle Inn? A very nice lady called Mahlena (American Filipina). A class act - UNLIKE Kobi Zimmerman (German),the appalling, dodgy owner of Lingganay.

For a no-nonsense, enjoyable, relaxed, hassle-free and affordable stay we are delighted to recommend this hotel, one of the most experienced and efficient in Boracay - you guessed it, UNLIKE Lingganay!!

My friends and I came across turtle inn on a website and we booked it immediately. The price was far better than most other hotels and yet the hotel seemed to offer everything that the others one did. We arrived a few hours late in Caticlan and were very suprised that someone was waiting for us! We dont know what we would have done without him. It was late at night and raining. We took a tuk tuk ride to the pier, a little boat and crossed over to a bigger boat while in the water in the darkness. I must say it was a scary experience for us being in the Philippines for the first time but having someone with us made it comforting and he helped so much with getting our luggage there in one piece. Expecting the worst we arrived at a beautiful hotel in Boracay. We were greeted by the staff and given umbrellas right away. Troy the hotel manager upgraded our room for us for a few extra dollars. A very spacious room with two queen size beds, amazing mattress, pillows and sheets, A/C, T.V that had almost 100 channels, refrigerator and shower and not to forget a 20ft balcony with tables and chairs where you could hang out. As the restaurant was not yet finished at the hotel they ordered in pizza for us and gave us tips and advice for the island and diving.

As the days went on we became really close with the hotel staff. Troy would tell us where to go and would arrange for everything for us. Mhalen his wife was an absolutely amazing women. She would come shopping with us and even threw us a wonderful BBQ one day. They would take us out for dinner and even show us the good nightspots. As they were just in the process of adding phones in the room it was hard for my boyfriend to call me. Mhalen would offer me her cell phone everyday where he could call me and talk to me for hours. The first day she even gave it to me just in case we got lost on our way back! We had originally booked three days just to make sure we liked the hotel but we ended up staying for 10! And not just that, we got an additional discount for staying that long. It really made no sense to go anywhere else and we were very happy there.

The people here really went out of their way to make you feel at home. After travelling through Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and all of Thailand I would have to say that the Philippines really touched my heart. It was the first place where I felt at home and not like a tourist and I have Mhalen and Jennys family to thank for that. I felt like I was staying with a relative that would take care of me no matter what happened. As beautiful as the hotel was at the end of the day its the people that make your trip memorable. The plans for the hotel sound great and Im eager to get back soon to see it. The restaurant sounds like it will be ready soon and the plans for the swimming pool and waterfall sound amazing. Best of luck with everything Troy and Mhalen and hope to see you soon!!!

With love Vicky

This was my 4th stay at the Turtle Inn, this time of year is wet season which I was fully expecting, as usual I was greeted with a very warm welcome which is bestowed on all arrivals. I have written a review for each visit and have exhausted my accolades for this establishment.
Bottom line...............
If you need something ask and if they do not have it they will advise you where it is available
Want to have an adventure ask and Turtle will help
Need a towel for the beach ask and there it is free (other places will put a fee on your bill)
Need an umbrella if its rainy provided free
Buy some fresh seafood ask Sharlen to cook it for you (small fee does apply)
Need a trik Jun or Jessie will arrange for you
Confirm flights, need a guide, rough idea on what to pay for something ask.
Sharlen will not like that I am telling you this but if you do not speak Filippino she will teach you some valuable words to use while ordering or buying goods
Remember not far from the action if you want the night life, but nice and quite for that sleep in or early night after a big day out
Last of all book direct with Jeny via email and get the best deal, unfortunately some of the booking agents misrepresent pricing.

To Jeny, Marilyn and all the Staff thanks again see you next year

JUST STAY THERE MAD IF YOU DON'T
