Stayed 7 nights over New Year. The location is great! Right in the middle of station 2 next to main area of shops (D-Mall) and restaurants & bars. I had the seaview room with beautiful partial views of the beach. The room and balcony were huge and I had a fridge, AC, money box, large bed, hammock etc Just didn’t like the restaurant being right next to my balcony - no privacy - perhaps ask for the rooms on the right instead of the left.
Also know that there is a bar (Exit Bar) in front of the reception and there’s no great signage saying Bamboo Bungalows - it isn’t easy to find - my driver had to ask a dozen people before we found the place as it’s right on the beach and automobiles can reach it so they’ll leave you on the main street. Ask for Exit Bar, it’s easier. And luckily in the end I managed to get someone to help carry my suitcase down to the beach as the alley to the beach was dark and flooded.
The typhoon hit the day before so no internet services, no hot showers etc. Not their fault but the only thing that upset me was when i lost the key (which i know is my fault) ended up costing me 1,500 pesos!
Check in and out was fast, and they helped have someone carry my suitcase to the main road for a taxi. Overall, I would still stay here again.

I can see place has mixed reviews. We stayed for 4 nights in January and I enjoyed the visit.

The rooms are basic but clean and comfy. Shower had good pressure and the aircon on the room was very good.
I didn't use the wifi but my girlfriend said it was ok most of the time.

The hotel is situated right on the beach at station 2 and there's a bar on the way in. This can be a very loud bar at night but don't be put off as the rooms go back behind the hotel and we couldn't hear anything from where we was.
They also have a nice little deck to relax on outside the room.
There are numerous bars and restaurants all within a few minutes walk either side of the hotel.
We had the free breakfast 2 mornings of our stay which was a good standard and the coffee was nice too.

If you're prone to mosquito bites like me then bring a repellent before you come here / boracay, as there is a lot of them and this Hotel is surrounded by trees. My girlfriend however didn't get one single bite.

Overall this is a great place to stay and I would definitely come back.

especially if you have kids, seedy, loud, place where you're likely to find the creepy guy that came to the Philippines for one thing staying. Our place was infested with misquitos, smelled like mold/had mold problem, had a sign posted on the door about how sex with minors is illegal, and how we should keep our conversation to a minimum, the internet is awful and not available in room

The location is good if you like to party they are located behind one of the greatest dive bars on the planet and the price isn't terrible but you could certainly do better in the same area for the same money

We were travelling for 40 days throughout Southeast Asia and Bamboo Bungalows was by far one of our top resorts. If you're on a medium budget and don't need a super luxurious room with amenities, look no further! Just a 30 second walk from room to beachfront, reserved beachfront for guests with no obstructed view, DELICIOUS breakfasts, what more do you need? The staff is beyond accommodating! The hotel also owns the bar in front, we didn't hear any noise from our room, but if you're in the oceanfront rooms, you may get some noise depending on how good the soundproofing of the balcony doors are. The District Boracay is a few feet away from Bamboo Bungalows with the same exact beachfront view!!!

If you walk to the end of DMall there is a minimart that accepts all credit cards without an additional charge, but there is a minimum required. You can stock up on cheaper beer and some snacks to leave in the fridge provided.

Pros:
Rooms were super spacious
Chairs, hammock, and drying rack on balconies
Breakfast was amazing and included in our pricing, but even if you have to pay it's cheaper than anywhere else
Staff is amazing and super accommodating
Great location in Station 2, in the quieter area, but extremely close to the party

Cons:
The first room they put us in smelled moldy, but they moved us without an issue
The bar does get a little rowdy sometimes, but if you're down to party you'll be fine

Imádtuk! Kilépsz a szállásról és előtted a hófehér homokos türkizkék tenger. Totál a központban. Közel mindenhez. A szálláshoz tartozó bárban isteni koktélokat ittunk. Nagyszerű 2 hetet töltöttünk el itt.

Well, if you don't like block of concrete, but nice small place with a local home feeling, you are in the good place. Very well situated right on the beach. Probably the only green hotel left in the center of the main beach life (huge garden all around the bungalows). The bungalow are simple and clean but with all comfort.
The staff at all level are great.
Only one negative point it's the noise at night from the bar. So if like me you are very sensitive to noise ask for a room as far as possible of the entry and you should be fine.
Little supermarket next door and all the beach restaurants, bars around. Dive center on each side at around 50/100m,..
Perfect place to enjoy 24/24h boracay Island

Bamboo bungalow is in a great location right on the amazing Boracay beach in station 2. Nice big room (bungalow) which was clean but a little basic . Great balcony. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff. There is a bar right in front so can be a bit noisy at night but that never bothered me. Overall I think it is great value when compared the other hotels in this location ........

Our barkada was really searching for a cheap hotel accomodation on our trip to Boracay in September 2012. Because we were 13 persons(10 adults with 3 kids), they were with their wives and kids, we really wanted to save money and when i checked online for Bamboo Grande Hotel in Agoda, i immediately sent an email inquiry directly to the hotel customer service (coz i do not have credit card to use in booking). When they replied, they quoted us 1 family room and 1 quad room good for 10pax already, kids were free of stay, which only costs P10,500 for a 3days 2 nights stay. Though it took us a week to reserve, they still gave the price they quoted. Breakfast for 2 per room includes the package plus they have free Wi-Fi access. The resort is located beachfront in Station 3 near Andoks, steps away going to Station 2. It's just that its hard to go back to the hotel after partying in Station 2.

This place is reaaaaaalllllyyyy good. I'll just enumerate some of the reasons and you can go judge by yourself:
1. when they say it's beach front, it's beach front! 1 minute and you're there!
2. rooms are spacious! even the bath! I was staying at a family room which of course is SPACIOUS (duh!) but the owner was kind enough for me to look at the other rooms and they are spacious - considering the amount your paying, you can well enough do somersaults. airconditioning is good too!
3. beds are cozy - you can request for sheet replacements.
4. the free breakfast is hefty!! you can even get to choose it!
5. it is in station 2 where all the nice bars, budget marts, restaurants are just a stone throw away. Although if you want a really peaceful sleep opt for the garden rooms at the back. slightly lower cost though much quieter surroundings.
