This location is great for it's price. 1 minute walk to the beach. The rooms were ultra basic with no a/c nor TVs. Powerful fans will keep you cool. Large rooms for families and an area to cook if you want.

Staff are really accommodating. They were our second place to stay when we went to Boracay that time. We booked first on a BnB and was so disappointed. Anyway, we found them just a few meters away from the one we stayed earlier and was awesomely satisfied. The owner themselves tend to the guests most of the time. Tito even placed the thermos closer to us so that we won't be bothered coming down the stairs for our regular coffee breaks during graveyard shift. WiFi connection is also good. They have their own generator (power interruption is very much normal in Station 3). Overall? Will definitely come back to this place when we visit Boracay. The place to stay, very homey ;)

We arrived at around 5 pm, obviously too late for a standard check in time and the room wasn't ready. The room we reserved was a fan room since we will be transferring to another hotel the following day. Since it wasn't ready, we decided to upgrade into an airconditioned room so all of us will be more comfortable. The price is cheap anyway. After 30 minutes, we were able to enter the room. It was ok for the price. We stayed for a couple of hours before we decided to go out. The AC automatically shuts down and we were trying to find out what happened and to our surprise, the AC is connected to a switch somewhere in the reception area. I asked for an assistance from the reception and we were advised that they accidentally switched it off (while laughing) and I didn't hear an apology. We no longer talked about what happened since it only happened for 15 munutes. We slept at 12 am and woke up at around 3 because the AC wasn't working again. Because we were too tired, i didn't report that the AC wasnt working again and went back to sleep. We woke up at 8 and reported it and the lady said that they had to switch it off because they had to do something. Whatever that is, i responded with an irritated tone and ask them why they had to do what they are supposed to do while someone is vhecked in. And then the owner went out and blamed us for not reporting it right away. Seriously???at 3 am??? Bottomline is, we paid for something we were not able to use. I will never ever go back here ever again!!!…

Booked 3 nights online as we were looking for somewhere cheap in high season. (Travellers Budget) The location is good, right on the beach and next to the shop etc.. The rooms on the other hand where very basic but that was expected. The room cleanliness was poor. Mattress was mouldy and stained, no hot water, floors are squeaky and felt you were going to fall through lol Never seen so many ANTS in my life, they're everywhere, made me feel constantly itchy! Outside area is nice to sit and well maintained, just a shame for the rooms. Staff seemed nice and there was a cold water machine. Would not recommend as there is many other places at the same price with higher room standards. Alana - budget traveller lol

Staying here in Morning Star Beach Resort is a smart choice. If your looking for a cozy, casual, cheap friendly staff and nice view - you must stay here...no regret after staying here. I will surely invite those people to come to Boracay and choose this place..

creaky floors, you'll hear the footsteps in the other room. I booked a standard room but was transferred to a family room with two queen size beds. sounds great? it would have been better if the air conditioning was working. besides, there's only the two of us who will be staying. we didn't want to stay in the room because it was too hot inside even during the night. friendly owner, some staff as well but t not all.

Checked here for single night and glad I was moving to different accommodation the next day! Clearly stated on my booking I would be arriving late, but no-one on checkin when I arrived and had it not been for the neighbours waking somebody up likely I would have had to buy another room somewhere else. Room very very basic and bed thin and old, floor very creaky. Fine to rest for a night, but I was glad to be out the next week. Very close to the beach, but not best located as quite a way from best boat station.

+The hotel is actually on the beach. There is a convenient store next to the hotel that has almost everything. The reception says it doesn't work at night but it does. It's very important if you arrive late. The staff is very friendly and nice. If it's raining you can borrow an umbrella for free. Smoking places on the terrace. Free Wi-Fi everywhere. -No hot water but it is not a big deal because it soooo hot. Ants. Don't bring in food. No TV (not a minus for me but for some people people it might be important). Mornings are noisy.

Disgusting is being kind here. The room was filthy! The matresses were stained beyond belief! There was no hot water! When I enquired about this I was told it was because I booked a room with a fan?? No where in the room description did it say that if the room has a fan vs A/C you have cold water only. I have traveled all over the world and never seen anything so disgusting. Ants were everywhere! So gross. We went downk the road a few feet to Marzon resort. For $25 more a night we have a beautiful clean room, friendly staff and breakfast is included.
