My sister died in this accommodation due to electrocution when she took shower after the housekeeper turned on the water heater. Even their housekeeper who was asked by the manager to turn off the shower head set was electocuted. Surrounding area is noisy.
The staff are so nice to us, room is big for 4 person and they do have big beds. But overall the experienced with this lodge is great and we will definitely stay in this hotel again once Boracay is fully renovated.
Well, it feels like a safe place and it is reasonably clean. The aircon is sufficient and the TV has a remote and cable channels. There is a ref too and ample electrical outlets for all your gadgets. The shower has hot water and good pressure. That might be enough for a budget hotel but still I will not return because of the negatives and annoyances. WiFi for example. They say they have and technically it´s true. However, it´s useless because the connection is lost more times than it is connected and even if connected you are lucky to get even the smallest data flow. Regardless of trying in my room or the common areas. I came here to do some work online and ended up paying top Peso in a coffee shop that at least has a stable connection. Then there is the towel thing. I booked a room for 2, got only 1 towel. After insistence they gave me a second. Next morning again only 1 towel. And it´s no real towel anyway. It´s microfiber; plastic, not cotton. It will not dry you and it is tiny. Also they do not change the bedsheets or pillow covers during your stay. No comforter, only a flimsy blanket to tug you in at night. The bedware smells stale and “wet”, like it has not been cleaned and dried properly. They give one shampoo and one soap, for the entire stay. They will not refill your toilet paper. There is a safety deposit box in the room but it still has the code of the people before me. Or the people before them. So it is there but not usable. The curtains are almost see-through, meaning that as soon as the sun comes up in the morning the room is bright and you will be awake very early. This country is prone to frequent brownouts. So every hotel should have a backup generator. This one does not. When the lights went out it was total stillness and darkness, also no emergency light in the room that is supposed to come up when the power goes out. To sum it up, not really a bad place. But with so many flaws that the small money saved compared to other hotels does not compensate for the lots of annoyances.…
If you're on tight budget and you rarely stay in your hotel this hotel is for you! 5-10 Mins walk going to beach front, all the staffs are very nice. Although the stairs going to our room is so steep, so we're not allowed to get drunk. The veranda outside our room is our favorite as well! We could just hang out and drink whenever we want to. And if you're hungry and you want a quick food trip, its just across the hotel.
This is really a place to stay if youll visit Boracay Island with such budget but worth-it. Its just a few minutes walk to the beach that you will never feel far from it. A place where you meet friendly staff who never get tierd of smiling and greeting you whenever you cross path. A place where the rooms are all suited for my taste in a lodge. Better visit this place so you'll see it by yourself and its worth-it.
