Had a wonderful time at Sea Wind Resort. Very attentive staff from arrival onwards, always a step ahead of our needs. Sea Wind Resort is the last of the remaining old school Boracay resorts. Very wide beachfront at Station 1 where the sand is finest. The resorts beside it had about 1/4 the width of this property. Plus it has less capacity than the swankier large resorts further up the beach so it never feels crowded. This feels like a relaxing island getaway, what we have come to Boracay for. We stayed in a Super Deluxe Beachfront room (the staff refer to it as the Bamboo House) right in front of the shore and with a large open space in front. The balcony was a lovely place to hang and enjoy the breeze and the view. All amenities were provided for, including a Protective Kit for safety during this pandemic. Food was delicious too. Followed the tip of another Tripadvisor reviewer and ordered the Squid Ink noodles (Bihon Itim). It was absolutely delicious! Thumbs up as well for the turon, pancit molo and gambas. Dos Mestizos across the road is also a nice spot for some Spanish cuisine. D’mall is a P10 tricycle ride away for other food choices. Sea Wind Resort has the best bang for buck IMHO. We’ve already booked our next visit.

We found refuge at the Sea Breeze Resort everyday of our seven day trip to Boracay. We had been misled that our resort was beachfront but it wasn't so we had to take a tricycle in to get to the beach and quite by accident we stumbled upon the Sea Wind Resort. They are an excellent property right on the beach with great seating on the sand, massage specialists, great service and very good food. The drinks were mixed very well. My wife's favorite was their shrimp sautéed in a garlic sauce. It was very similar to a dish we had at a famous restaurant in Hong Kong. I loved the calamari stewed in it's ink served over glass noodles. My daughter enjoyed the french fries and hamburgers. If you want something modern and shiny new where when you look out your door you could be any place then this may not be for you. If you are looking for a place where you feel like your on an island, where you are surrounded by coconut trees and you can either swim in a pool, get a message in the shade or jump in the ocean on a beautiful beach, then this is paradise. What makes this place special is the staff. Like many places on Boracay and in the Philippines they take great pride in their service. The staff was so friendly and really made us feel welcome. We are already planning our next trip for this February.

A typical balikbayan like myself always looks forward to a beach getaway whenever we go on vacation in the Philippines and of course, Boracay will always be on the list. In the past, I've stayed in other hotels and resorts in Stations 1, 2, 3..and even beyond. Some I feel were overpriced, some you would say that's what you pay for the price and some were what you typically expect in a 5-star resort. SEAWIND, however, was a special unique experience. We first stayed here last Jan 2021 when they just barely opened from the long-time closure of the island, when they had barely any guests and second time was just recently when they are almost fully booked within the required capacity due to Covid-19. Regardless of the current situation the quality of service was the same. Fromthe moment you check in until you check out, the customer service of their staff are immeasurably exceptional. With that, I just booked my 3rd visit for next month. I'm bringing in friends this time and I know they will love the service as much as me and husband did. Their breakfast buffet have decent variety so you will never get tired of the same food every day. Shoutout for good brewed coffee and quality low calorie sugar packets! I also love that they have their own toaster so I could toast my bread to my satisfaction. Why not 5-star then? The bathrooms are although immaculately clean (I'm a stickler for bathroom cleanliness), still needs a little bit of updating. However, obviously, this doesn't stop me from staying with Seawind again as I just booked my next visit next month!

I am writing this review while i am still in the resort. After a whole day of working, we asked for massage therapists to come. Unfortunately, staff on duty, as nice as they are, would not let the therapists in. The reason they gave for not allowing the therapists to enter is because they are in a bubble. I find this curious since this resort is accepting tourists from outside boracay itself, so how can it be a bubble? It must be noted that the therapists are locals, and are authorized by the local government to conduct their trade and were readily presenting their vaccination cards and work permits from the local government, to no avail. I requested to speak with someone who could clarify the situation and i was given a phone to speak with a person who identified herself as Ms. Ema Lago, who, i am told, is the manager. me and my workmates are open to following rules, if there are really such rules being implemented, so i asked why they won't allow the therapists in. Ms. Lago said that they don't allow therapists from outside because they have their own massage therapists. i find this unfair and self serving if this is the only reason because as a customer, i am of the opinion that i have the prerogative to avail of a service from whoever i so choose. besides, there is no restriction for visitors during reasonable hours as well. when further inquired as to the basis, Ms. Ema said that therapists are assigned by the LGU per hotel/resort and that only said therapists assigned by the LGU to a particular hotel or resort may ply their trade in the same. At first Ms. Ema said it was a government rule. then she said it was a usual practice. then it was a law. I verified with the local tourism office and i was told that the local government is not implementing such rule. alas, ms ema was lying. you know what they say about liers...

I think this resort has the widest beach front in Boracay and that’s make it great! It’s away from the noise and frenzy of it’s next door neighbors. It’s grounds provide a relaxing environment perfect for just chilling. The rooms are a bit dated but I am hopeful the Management will look into this once the resort and the island get back on their feet. The food is great, simple Filipino and International fare, similar to what one would have back home. What makes the resort shine are the staff. They are so polite and courteous and it seems like nothing is ever too much in terms of what they are willing to do for the guests. In all, i would definitely stay in the resort again.
