Very rundown place. Don't let their photos fool you. Staff are rude and management doesn't believe in customer service. I asked for early checkout or a refund and they refused. My party of 10 all went to a different hotel because the rooms were so bad. I'm stuck with $1500 USD extra from a bad hotel. Save your money.
-Situated in prime location -You have everything in this property -But if you want to be secluded this property is not for you as this is located in Station 2 the most crowded part of Boracay -You can borrow beach mats which is a good thing -They also have elevator
Second time to stay at The District this year (during pandemics) and I noticed some improvements like new airconditioning and better toiletries (they let go of the mini plastic bottles, which is ok for me) Checkin: Transport was seamless, we were coming from another hotel and they communicated ahead so our pick up was on time, all our bagges were handled properly A bit of a confusion in the room reservation because I had booked this trip months ahead and specified our room preferences and got their confirmation, but the rooms were not available when we arrived. It also took awhile before we could checkin, so we took our lunch first at The Plenary Lunch Booked a family style lunch from The Plenary menu -- generous servings! the menu said it was good for 8 pax but the servings were good for even 10 pax. It was a complete spread from starters to fruit platter dessert! We were all happy with this lunch! Breakfast Breakfast is included in the room rate, and what's great is we can have it any time of the day. It's plated breakfast with big portions, it can stuff you up to lunch time :) Rooms The District Hotel has seen better days, but it's good that they introduced some minor improvements like the airconditioning, and they have cleaner shower room and toilets now too No complaints on soundproofing -- i guess we don't have noisy neighbors? the blackout curtains also did it's job if you want to sleep in For family stays, select the rooms at the ground level Location Very beach front!! and nice set of palm trees up front so you can set up your mats under a shade. Nice framing for a photo op too! For those who like other food options, The District is a short walk to D'Mall The Staff The best feature of The District. Always friendly, always quick, always helpful. I missed to get all their names so I can commend them one by one here. but I hope they are consistent with this fast and friendly service even during peak days.…
Good location since its between station 1 and D’mall. We just got deluxe room and had a good deal with the price. Bed and linen are comfy, and room has decent size. Good size bathroom, shower and toilet are separated. Service is good specially the restaurant staff at the cafe. Set breakfast is also good, we were there for 4 days and tried all the options.
We were in this hotel last June 13 to 14 and our stay is awesome! May be this is not the best hotel in Boracay but they have a very good location and a very accommodating and friendly staff. If you really wanted a place to relax, peaceful vibes this hotel is good for you.
very rude staff!! unattentive!! food not good i felt discrimanated in this hotel i hope they will trained they people to be nice to everyone. nice hotel nice location but you dont really like to be there
Been going back and forth in the island of boracay this past few weeks and this week i’ve decided to stay in The District Hotel. Due to covid, they offer big discount on their rooms. The breakfast is great with complimentary brewed coffee. Although the resort has little guests, the manager had a pet dog buddy who is very cute and doesn’t bark at all. So in a way you will never feel alone. 😂 And its a good thing that the resort is located next to d’mall where some shops and restaurants are now open. This is a great time to visit if you just wanna relax, and have a peaceful time to feel the ocean without the usual noise and crowd.
Although my stay was some time ago, having read reviews of other hotels that are nowhere near the standard of this place I felt they deserved a review. It's clean and modern. The staff and the service were all great. The food was good and the pool small but clean. Best of all is that you literally step out of the door and you are a few feet from the beach, which is right in front of you. I have no hesitation in recommending this place (and I'm picky!).
A gem just in front of the world renowned Boracay white beach, literally a few steps away from it. This boutique hotel caters comfortable and luxurious hotel experience. Below are the reasons. Great value for money Expert service Not too crowded resort in the heart of station 1 Spacious, bed is the highlight! Good cocktails Cookies for the turndown Pork adobo in anato oil for breakfast- amazing! Especial mention to the key people who really looked after us during our stay. Jean-reception Grace and Wennielyn- spa Aimie- the plenary Staff here always go out of the box to assist you in every way they could. They are truly amazing and real assets of the hotel. Thank you very much. Can’t wait to be back.
i stayed here february 5- 7 , 2020 and its the worst hotel i have ever stayed at. i felt discriminated against and treated very badly by the staff and management.first of all the room was very disappointing, it didnt feel clean at all, you know that damp feel and that smell that lingers ,its gross. second is the water in the shower, its salt water , for an expensive hotel i found this cheap. istayed at hennan palm after my stay here and the water in the shower was tap water. the worst part is the staff, they need training on diversity and how to treat people equally irregardless of race ,religion and sexuality. i am transgender and the whole time i felt uncomfortable and unwelcome in this property, something i have never felt in my years of travel around the world. best example was during buffet breakfast , i ordered eggs benedict from the egg corner , there were three people manning the egg station at that time. i asked very nicely to have 2 eggs benedict, right there and then i already felt like the guy manning the station was looked down on but i said to myself just ignore what you feel and give him a chance. i even asked him if had to wait for it here and he said very nonchalantly it will be delivered to my table. so i went back to my table and started eating my breakfast. after 20 minutes the eggs benedict did not come, i asked a lady manning the tables to follow it up and she said she will. my friend who was with me then went to the eggs corner and ordered scrambled eggs. 5 minutes later the scrambled eggs was delivered to the table,so when the scrambled eggs arrived i asked the same lady to follow it up and she said she will. 40 minutes have passed and no eggs benedict, so i asked another person this time a guy to follow it up, and he said he will. after doing this my friend again got up and ordered another scrambled egg and in 5 minutes it was delivered . so i asked the person who delivered it to follow up my eggs benedict. more than an hour has passed and we almost finished i complained and said the eggs benedict hasnt come. then after 10 minutes we finally finished and got up thats when the eggs benedict arrived. i spoke to the restaurant manager and she was apologetic but did really nothing make the situation better. i was never contacted by anyone to update me to explain as to what happened. so the unrpofessionalism is inherent from management down to the regular staff. i wanted to love this place, but just pure disappointemnt, makes me ashamed of ebing filipino with the kind of service i was given during my stay.…
