Our stay at Argonauta was fantastic. The owner is especially friendly and informative, the staff are super helpful and nice, the room was great and the views are amazing. No kidding, the best views on the entire island are at this resort! The food is cooked by the staff, and it's top quality. We had actually avoided ordering earlier in our stay, simply because the meals were just a bit pricey. After we ordered though, we quickly found out that the portions are enough for 2! Turns out it was actually a great deal. Because we didn't know what to expect coming to Boracay, we actually stayed at three different resorts on different areas of the island. Hands-down this is our favorite! The beach is absolutely fantastic, but there is a bit of a walk down to it. It takes approximately 5-8 minutes to get down there, (all downhill to get there, all uphill to return) but for about half of the walk, you are walking on a native trail. There are tree roots and rocks sticking out of the ground (I.E. tripping hazards) that might not be appropriate if you don't consider yourself "sure-footed" or if you need a cane or walker. We loved it, and did not consider it an issue at all, but I believe it's worth the mention. All in all, we had a great experience.

This is a great hotel with clean rooms.Staff are very friendly and helpful, services are made personal with care. Great location overlooking the magnificent ocean, close to city mall and cinema. Amazing little restaurant, serves an awesome range of meals. The room was spacious for myself and wife. Room, bedding and bathroom clean and comfortable. Big bathroom with all quality necessities. Perfect stay from start to finish. Looking forward to my next visit.

we chose this hotel for a number of reasons. The negative aspect was that it was a bit far from everything else and tough to get to the beach. The positive aspects were many. The staff and owner (Steph) were amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good and they used products they grew in their own garden. Lovely! Our room was also more than adequate and we had access to a lovely deck. I travel a lot for work and prefer to stay in more unique places when travelling for fun. This was most enjoyable and I'd recommend it.

The Argonauta lists itself as a boutique hotel but it’s more like a home stay or Bed and Breakfast. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Bigi was right at the door upon our arrival to greet us. We probably should have researched more on both location and amenities. A lot of the reviews I had seen on Expedia had photos of a pool, which there isn’t one. The walk down to the beach access is quite sketchy as you have to traverse broken bamboo, avoid garbage, and overgrown vegetation. We did it on our first day but after that we paid to take the e-trikes down to the white beach. Breakfast is made to order every day. The options are simple but quite good. Other options for lunch or dinner nearby require a lot of walking or paying for tricycles which ending up being all sorts of different prices. The walk up to the main road is fine during the day but I didn’t feel comfortable once it was dark. Our room was spacious but the bed was very low to the ground and only had a hard single mattress on the frame. Our room safe key never worked which we reported as soon as we checked in, unfortunately it was never fixed or addressed. This hotel is great for those wishing to be away from crowds and noise. If you just want to sit up above the beach the views are spectacular. We ended up checking out early and moved to a hotel down along station 2 beach so we could have a pool, access to the beach and restaurants.

My boyfriend chose the Argonauta randomly and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip so far. Sometimes staying at certain hotels makes you feel isolated from the place you’re visiting but the Argonauta felt like a taste of the Philippines. The hospitality here is exceptional; the staff and owner genuinely care about each guest and are very quick to respond to requests. On top of that, the views are spectacular and the grounds are very lush! A short 5 minute walk down a narrow path led us right to a beautiful beach.

The layout and concept of this place lend to a seriously unique and authentic feel. The staff is beyond friendly, but not in a disingenuous or robotic way. The owner was on site and gave us tips for close walks and nearby beaches that aren’t tourist ridden. The views are incredible (Room 4 is at least); probably the best sunset I’ve seen!

Absolutely awesome place, a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends..Kuya Jun,Benz and Dennis were the best hosts ever, really made you feel welcome and spoilt us while we were there..The place is so nice, quite, private accommodation that we really wanted and with spectacular sea views..We were so lucky also that during our stay we had experienced the stunning double rainbow view over the ocean from our hotel balcony which we enjoyed a lot..Will certainly recommend The Argonauta Hotel to any friends visiting the beautiful island of Boracay.Thank you for making our stay memorable!

I had the opportunity of staying for a few days in Argonauta very recently, shortly after they were issued the environmental compliance certificate. Straight to the point, this is easily one of the loveliest lodging places I've ever been into. It's very serene with it's forest vibe and it offers a magnificent view of the sea. It's totally my kind of resting place. Never mind that it's not a beach front property when you have the neatest and cleanest room, and the kindest people in town to look after you. I remember that one night I got back to the hotel totally spent and ready to call it a day after exhaustion from work, when I chanced upon the owner who insisted on offering me some refreshments and a simple meal before I go to rest. I can only pray that she will be treated kindly in return. I had been so encouraged by the gesture. So, if, like me, you appreciate the restful charm of a cliff side lodging, and value sincere no-nonsense service, this is the place for you.
