We stayed in one of the air con bungalows for 10 nights (pre booked). The rooms are ok, pretty basic with modest cooking facilities, but I have to say the shower was quite good, it was a hot shower. The air con doesn't have much effect as it is upstairs and with the bungalow being open plan is too much area for the air con to work sufficiently. The plug in fan downstairs seemed to cool down the downstairs enough. The staff are really courteous and helpful and you can get a decent brekkie there for P180. There is free wifi but by the owners admission herself it's not too great. However, it's the Philippines and wifi isn't brilliant anyway so no real complaint there. All in all it was worth the money, it is only a 2* establishment. My only complaint was the excessive noise that came from the Mad Monkey Hostel next door. Every night it started getting noisy at about 10pm and was still noisy after midnight. I think they must have pool parties every night. I know this isn't anything to do with Blue Bayou but it is worth mentioning. If you're after no frills accommodation on a budget then this is ideal, if you don't mind the noise next door at night…
we stay 3 weeks ;) This place is incredible nice and quiet ;) After all Boracay party is nice back to quiet place like Blue Bayou Bungalows Very clean rooms ;-) Staff .. the best people on the world .. all time they ready to help if U need ;) Breakfast fresh made all time and is made for order ;-) If U feel seek staff make special herb tea ( herbs from garden) Really high recommend this place
Me and my girlfriend both enjoyed our time at the Blue Bayou Bungalows, Boracay. The staff were very kind and warm. The bungalow was over two floors and was a great place to relax and sleep after a busy day of sightseeing. A tip for people washing there laundry, there is a professional place maybe 5 minutes down the road which will wash your laundry for a very cheap price in comparison to the cost at the establishment. The location of the bungalows is great, you are in walking distance of White Beach, D Mall and the kite surfers beach is literally 2 minutes’ walk away. Great place, lovely staff and a great overall stay.
I have stayed at this compound a couple of times now. A 12 minute walk to D Mall around station 2. Always had an airon bungalow, its a family run business and the owners are more than happy to impart the local knowledge and to advise the best value for money activities (which means you dont have to deal with the toutes in your face). Staff are efficient and always helpful, bbq facilities are available which was great and we did some cooking in the kitchenette contained in the bungalows. In the back streets are a number of eateries which offer an alternative to beach priced food and of a high quality. We spent a few nights trying the local night time haunts which proved to be good value, especially the Kubu bar and restaurant where you had good food and drinks with live music at local prices (highly recommend )…
Stayed here in July 2015. Had a bungalow with AC, it was very spacious! Two floors, second floor is for the bedroom. I was so cozy and nice! Felt more like countryside style and I loved i! So tired of those white floor-walls-bed hotels. The breakfast was all day and very yummy. Especially liked the pancake! so delicious. Often you can here some creatures running on the roof when you sleep but you get used to it.
I didn't expect the experienced here was great. Ambience and the resort compound is privately located in the middle of the island which make it easier for you to move between the white beach and bulabog beach. Will be staying here again next December 2016z
Can't complain, friendly staff, beautiful cosy bungalows, very cheap for what you get, the only thing that I can complain about is the rooster directly behind the bungalow that makes noise and cock a doodle doo's all hours. Thing needs shooting
Me and my friend stayed for 6 days, the place is beautiful, rustic bungalows in the middle of tropical vegetation. Staff was really nice, always able to help with a smile. The breakfast is delicious, I recommend with any doubt the vegetarian omelet and the pancakes.
away from the madding crowded island that Boracay has become- its like living in a natural tropical island paradise only an easy 10 min walk to the white sandy beach that has made Boracay famous- the beach is still glorious but the commercialising of the island is destroying one of natures great places to relax and enjoy- I guess you call it progress but I wonder
Although we reached Boracay in the rainy season we had a wonderful time at Blue Bayou Bungalows. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the bungalows are clean and have all the basic accommodations you need like AC. In addition they have a very good location. Have a chat with the owners, it's a delight! We will definitely try to join them again, but this time maybe not in the rainy season. Vlad
