Best beachfront room, best foods, friendly staff, fast internet, approachable and friendly owner! Good for working from the beach setup! All the staff is helpful (kudos Ralph!) and Gian the owner, very accomodating! The kid's enjoyed the pool and the beachfront area. I and my wife enjoyed the daily brekky especially their coffee! Highly recommended hotel! We're excited to go back for a longer stay!
Upon inquiry, the manager/owner replied immediately, accommodating all my inquiries. Upon arrival, we had some welcome drinks. Then, all of a sudden our room and our yaya's room got free upgrade since there were less people in the island. We got the best ocean views in the resort. The rooms were large, so spacious, and the natural lighting was perfect. From CR to balcony, I felt that their sizes were equivalent to a room already. The public CR is clean. It was a beachfront resort at Station 3. It is also beside the road to Station X so if you want to have dinner there, you can just walk. All the staff were very accommodating and hospitable. They will also disinfect your luggages before carrying to the room. I had fun staying at the balcony before sleeping because there were mo mosquitoes. We also had some few drinks at the resto since there were not much nightlife at the island these days. My sleep was very peaceful and comfortable. The sofa was also comfortable and my kids love staying there. The hot water was working well. The room also has blower, TV and refrigerator. I have recommended this resort to my friends already and we will definitely go back. My fave breakfast was the tapsilog that's why I had it for two mornings. Their pancake was good too.…
Stayed for 10 days (original plan is to stay for 7 days only) in a room that spacious, clean, well-maintained, comfy bed and with GREAT OCEAN VIEW... Must try: Brewed Coffee (I swear!) Corned Beef (no slimy beef smell.. love it!) Kudos to the staff of Calypso...
My boyfriend and I spent a few days at Calypso and stayed in an immaculate room with a great view right on the ocean ☀️☀️☀️We had a fabulous breakfast and all staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel, it is a good value for money in an ideal location. We had dinner too, once, in the hotel restaurant and we couldn’t fault it in any way for variety and service. Many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable 🤗 A big thank you to Gian Carlo Ejares, the manager in charge, for all your help. 🙏
We were celebrating a friend's PADI Divemaster graduation party at Calypso Resort, when he was violently assaulted by a local Filipino instructor employed at Calypso, called Renato or 'Ota' (nickname) Pacumberto as verified by CCTV footage provided to Malay Police and who is now being indicted by the Office of the Principal Prosecutor at the Criminal Court in Kalibo. After attempting to help my friend, I was also assaulted and received three bottles smashed on my face, breaking the bridge of my nose whilst their security looked on and did nothing. I was taken to hospital for treatment for serious physical injury and a report was issued by an ENT Surgeon showing nasal fracture after X-Ray. Police were called and a report was filed and also submitted to the local Barangay Court who then escalated the case to the Criminal Court in Kalibo, which now has a resolution indicting the assailant for Serious Physical Injury and Assualt. A dangerous and scary place to drink or stay since the owner turns a blind eye to assaults on his premises, and has no control of security who are not propery trained to deal with situations like this. After the police came and took a copy of, and reviewed the CCTV footage while the owner watched it, he just laughed about it and said i probably deserved it. My friend who was assualted first was understandably disgusted about this.…
