Astonishing pool view, this is why this property gets well known.room is a plus we get it only for very low price for a deluxe room since they are in promo. Food has reasonable price, service was so so.but still we enjoyed our stay. Definitely coming back
A good stay should I say. Room was ok ( can be better) , bathroom must be cleaned, and food are ok too ( not a lot of choices). The only problem is, we had to shortened our stay because of my flights problem going back to NL. They ( the staffs) promised me to send me some refund because we checked out earlier than what we've planned. It's been 2 months already writing them e-mails and always told me that they will update me as soon. They told me that it will only take 15 working days to send the refund. It's not a big amount but you have to honour your words. I hope, this will not happen to other people staying in this hotel. Sharon
This hotel located in the hilly part of Boracay. The view was fantastic! Overlooking the beach with the infinity pool. Staff was friendly and nice, very welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel! There was a horse in the neighbor while we were in the pool, so that was another pleasant view of nature.
Hotel Sophia is bad hotel. No internet inside the rm.No btl water, need to go out in hallway. No elevator,rm.is old smell funny.Pool smell clorine.Employees are nice.very far in beach, one star rate only.
We Stayed this hotel for two night. We booked by booking.com, room 301, very warm welcome but poor room has given first and switched into the another ( 301 ) as per request. Breakfast was also average, The Best Part is Staff , Specially from the Restaurant as well as shuttle service for the Hotel -beach -Hotel Every hour. other wise with juts two Star, We were a bit unhappy while the checking out, saying out that we must pay by another credit card even the all amount was already deducted from the card while booking, By the chance we had another card, they should have inform before check in or while booking, they Should not take out the amount of hotel and later we need to pay by another card. While they refund the mount into card, it was 10% less amount refunded , which is not professional. Location is in hill side but can watch the sea from the room and terrace, Super sunset can be seen from the terrace.…
Loudest hotel I’ve stayed in. The rooms are not sound proof at all. We woke up every morning between 6-7 to screaming kids playing with the door bells, grown ups yelling - the worst part, the staff didn’t react to it at all. Wouldn’t recommend it if you want to have a nice relaxing holiday.
It is a cornerstone on its local daytime visits to nightlife experience, staycation for short. Great for relaxation and hospitality. With a cozy environment and friendly staffs to add-on. The Hotel Soffia Boracay is a great place to chill, providing better quality of customer service at its best, and it runs by great people over the years. It never failed to amazed me. Such an enticing food cuisines well serve and prepared by those competent employees' beyond the kitchen is an A+ merit. That's why I keep coming back for more! My 5th visit in a row since 2016. Kudos to Ms. Ged Roseann, to the ever dynamic-resto enthusiasts (Mr. MJ, Ms. Jewel, Ms. Ruby and other names that I could no longer recall who assisted me) and Hotel Soffia Boracay Management in majority. Cheers!
We enjoyed the 2 days and nights at Hotel Soffia. It is set in the hills of Borocay outside of station 3. It’s abit far out however it does offer a regular shuttle on the hour to station 1 where everything is including the famed White Beach. The hotel is looking a little dated and could do with a makeover. The food was ok and the breakfast was adequate but nothing special. The pool and surrounds are quite small. The staff were pleasant and accomodating. We moved to another hotel for the remainder of our stay in Borocay. Would I stay here again yes, if I couldn’t find something closer to station 1 or 2.
We stayed here over New Years. The staff were really friendly and helpful, any problem we had was generally addressed. The pool and cafe is really nice and relaxing. Food was good. Really nice views. Nice decor inside with the art n that. Some carp floating about in a pond near the cafe..yeah, it’s a nice setting. Only 2 problems. Due to the distance it is a bit of a jaunt to the beach but the hourly pickup was very prompt. Anyone with children, be aware though: it seems to be every man for himself getting on the taxi. We couldn’t get on despite having got there first, and another family, who were also there before others, had to go and pay for another taxi instead because they couldn’t get on. Not blaming the hotel for that but the driver told us to wait for another transport and no-one appeared so we were left waiting with our baby on the busy, car-fumey street for an hour. Also, as mentioned in other reviews the wifi is ridiculous. I don’t know about being asked to pay for it..we weren’t given that option. But the signal drops every ten seconds where we were positioned and i saw a booster jus a few doors down so whatever, it’s just a massive hassle especially if u have no other option and need it to sort things out. I saw someone mention the Queen bed scenario was the most ridiculous thing they’ve ever come across: ok boohoo it’s two beds pushed together. My gosh if that’s the worst thing you’ve experienced on holiday then i can only assume you normally holiday in a bag made out of cotton wool. Don’t advertise it as a Queen bed though, it is two beds pushed together. They were solid, comfy beds that fitted together fine and we slept great, including the baby. Couldn’t hear noise from other rooms either altho admittedly that might very well be because of the fan being noisy. The aircon/fan is also a bit noisy. So has practically every other one in the Phillipines been noisy except for hotels in Manila. If this is the sort of thing that distresses you maybe don’t visit a third world country? That’s about it. I really enjoyed my stay and that was despite these minor issues. We’ll probably be back!…
Whilst the hotel itself is a little dated the staff were wonderful and the Manager very helpful and always around. The shuttle runs hourly into station 1 and collects at at quarter past the hour - it was without exception prompt and a lovely touch as the hotel itself is up a steep hill. The views from the terrace are wonderful and the pool very clean. WiFi worked in the room and the lobby which was a bonus. The only issue I had was the mattresses were lumpy/springs had gone which the hotel swapped for me but the second one was the same - I think they need to invest a little and this would then be a great place - away from the noise of central but with easy access into it.
