Thumbs down for this so called hotel. It's more like a motel/inn than a hotel. 1. Staffs are not friendly. They don't know how to respect their customer 2. The photos they use to advertise their hotel, is not the same in actual. Very deceiving. SOGO Motel is better than this so called "hotel" 3. Rooms are smelly 4. Safety??? Fire exit??? I didn't see any fire exit 5. Very noisy 6. Place is very stressfull 7. FREE Wifi? No signal 8. Poor security 9. Sofa from the "reception"... Saw some cat sitted. Yuck

I have been to boracay so many times now and there's only one hotel that i love. It may be not at the beach front but it will give you comfort unlike the other non-beach front hotels. The very first time i checked-in with Island Nook was way back 2010 and from then on it's the only hotel that for me is convenient and has a very neat ambience. I must say there are other hotels out there that can provide more convenient and more amenities than Island nook. For me, if you are on a budget and want to spend more time at the beach while checked in on a neat and customer friendly hotel..Island nook is for you.

We had stayed at the hotel for 4 nights on January 2015. We arrived at the hotel quite late at night as our taxi driver had difficulty to find the hotel. The hotel was located behind the massage shop. You have to walk through small alley to reach the hotel lobby. Hotel location: Very strategic location. Near to the white beach and D’Mall. Only need about 5 minutes to walk to the beach and D’Mall. Room: Very basic. Clean. No toiletries and kettle. There was a small and simple hanging rack for clothes. There were quite a lot of mosquitoes in the room. Luckily, we brought the mosquito repellent with us. Air-cond in our room was very noisy. The water heater only worked well for first 2 days. We would advise for the hotel to provide other important item in the room such as a kettle and a proper closet and rack to hang clothes. There were windows, but it was sealed and you can’t open the windows. Breakfast: The breakfast was okay. However, we have to wait almost about 45 minutes every day for our pancake dishes. Services: The staff was very friendly. The check-in and check-out process was fast.

I've stayed here several times over the last four years. I like the location -- it's just a few meters away from D'Mall. Rooms are spacious enough, and breakfast is filling even if it's not buffet. Wi-fi is decent as well, though it could be much better. But I have to agree with the reviewers who say that the hotel isn't well-maintained. It seems Island Nook is getting old and worn fast. Tiles are nicked, walls are getting beige -- you get the drill. I hope they do something about this.
