Hubby and I got a very good deal during the resort’s super sale with our deluxe room that has a balcony facing the beach. Residencia Boracay is a small resort surrounded by big hotel names (Discovery Shores, Henann...). The room has all the basics—hot shower, cable TV, mini ref, instant coffee/tea, safety deposit box, but we hardly stayed inside because it’s situated in a prime location by Station 1 (the best area in the island). We enjoyed the typical Filipino breakfast of silog, but their in-house restaurant, Sole, has a very extensive menu. There’s pizza, sandwiches, grilled meats, seafood, etc, and even happy hour deals on beer and cocktails. It’s a quiet spot (except when the nearby resort’s have live music at night) and family-friendly, too. Kudos to the staff who are warm and friendly. Residencia Boracay will be top of mind for me, especially because of its competitive rates. We’ll be back!

The place appears to be basic at the start but gave us a lot of surprises during our stay. We got the seaview room with balcony and lounge chairs. We enjoyed the view. The room is big and can accommodate 4pax. The small room inside our room with exhaust fan where we can hang the wet clothes is a nice addition. The bathroom is big and I can say more than basic. It exceeds expectation.

The staff service is superb, and everyone made us feel at home. The food in the restaurant is good!

The place is beachfront in station 1, and I think this is the only one in the area that renders this kind of service within reasonable price.

I hope they can add a swimming pool soon but with or without it, we will come back!

Residencia never fails to deliver, be it iindividual or group reservations. Booked our big family recently and each moment was a memory to remember. Service is spot on, not over bearing. And above all, warm hospitality is prevalent throughout the property.

I stayed at Residencia because it was recommended by friends. For the price, it seemed like a good deal given that it was located in Station 1 - where more luxurious hotels like Discovery Shores and Lind were located. Upon seeing the room, my first impression was that it seemed dated and a bit dingy - the furniture could definitely use some updating. It also had an odd smell, which would greet you each time you enter but would eventually "go away" once you spend some more time inside. What really turned me off though was that I saw a rat inside our room. It was bigger than a lab rat, pretty big and healthy - I saw it inside our room as it scurried its way under the room door. I was disgusted and thought that while I was "lucky" to have seen it myself, who knew where it was going when I was not in the room? I reported this to the hotel staff, hoping they would do something about it but all they did was give 2 towels to block the bottom of the door. I wasn't pleased with neither the situation nor the solution and ended up checking out 3 days earlier than planned and moving to a better hotel.

we were recommended to this hotel because we were going to a destination wedding. The hotel was clean, the service was nice and the location very good. we upgraded to a suite with balcony and that made a big difference. As we were part of a large group we were treated extremely well. Breakfast was good and changed everyday.

Thanks for accomodating us during this long break of the island. Great boutique hotel just infront of the best side of the prestine Boracay beach. Good time of the year to visit. Less crowded and great food. Safe and exclusive setting to relax.

There were 21 of us when we stayed here last month. The trip was part of our reunion with family from the US and Canada. The location was awesome! We mostly hung out at the cabana overlooking the spectacular view of the pristine white powder like sands and blue/green color of the ocean. It wasn't a large hotel which I was glad for although it's in the vicinity of Discovery Shores and the Ambassador. It was just the right venue for memorable family gatherings and a relaxing seaside escape. We had a birthday celebration as well and they really accommodated us from the paluto (cooking) to the party set up. You can take a stroll along the beach from station 1 to 2 going to the mall (called D'mall) and the market (called D'talipapa) with an abundance of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Or you can take a short tricycle ride which is readily available by the entrance of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was great. It doesn't have a lot of amenities or frills like a gym or pool. But the ocean was so inviting that you really don't need the pool. If you're looking for a place to stay with your family in station 1 which is affordably priced compared to nearby lodging and just want a relaxing retreat with a homey setting, then this is the place. Staff was great and we definitely had a great stay here.

Arrived at around noon and were allowed to check in even though it was 2 hrs early, was expecting a welcome drink but none, rooms are big. But no pool compared to its neighboring hotels , free breakfast, has wifi but tends to lag. But you're on vacation

Stayed for 3D/2N with my wife and 13 yo son. The rate is not cheap compared to other hotels and Inns in Boracay but compared to the 4 closest hotels next to Residencia, averaging at 6,000 pesos per nite, the 4500 pesos per we paid with breakfast for 3 is a real bargain.

Pros:
I have been to Samoa, Micronesia, Palau, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Marshall Islands, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Australia and Guam and the room where we stayed in Residencia is the only one with an ante-room for washing off sand and also serves as a drying area for your beach trunks and bikinis.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
Location is everything. This is located in the part of Boracay where swimmers are in 2 piece bikinis and swim trunks. Sun Bathing does not draw attention from gawkers unlike in station 3 or 2.
The hotel is located in station 1 where the beach is wide, less frequented by people and the sand is really powdery soft.
There are no local boats (banca) parked on the shore or anchored near the beach unlike in stations 2 and 3 where one has to doge the boats when swimming.
The beach tapers of slowly, no worry of the kids swimming off then finding themselves in deep water.
The hotel has its own sun bathing area complete with loungers, chairs, tables, hammock and 24 hours security guard to protect your things and also take your pictures.
The beach towels which you request from the front desk is a good idea so that you do not track in sand and sea water when you rinse off from swimming.
They have a back entrance to the main road where you can take a tricycle to D'Mall or to station 3 (where the buffet lunch and dinners are cheap and fully stacked (USD$8-10 per person). Very accessible.
Very affordable and good value for money.

Cons:
No restaurant but you only need to walk to the other hotels along the beach for a buffet or take a ride to station 2 or 3 for a wide selection of food.

My first choice on my return vacation in Boracay.

RB's superior rooms offered simple accommodation at a quite reasonable rate in Station 1, Boracay Island.

The rooms and the hotel were always clean. Most of all, the hotel offered the needed peace and quite Station 2 guests would have difficulty getting.

Breakfast choices were rather limited. If food is what you look for, RB is not the place for it. Better to go to Station 2 for lunch and dinner which is what we actually did.

I definitely will consider staying again in RB for my next visit to Boracay!
