Stayed at island jewel in for 11 days:) Every thing advertised was all exactly what it looks like. No false or overstated claims from the property staff.what really sets this property apart from the rest that I have looked up before the booking is the excellent communication with the staff.the response was prompt and highly professional. Every inquiry I made was responded in a very timely manner.the place is kept well and daily room cleaning including towel which was changed on a daily basis. There's also a very polite security that kept the premise secure at night.one thing that I was impressed with was the dealing of the staff with the guest, all we're genuinely cordial and ready to assist but maintains a very professional way for the guest to have the privacy they need. Location is also a plus , it's a short walk to the beachfront...market is a short distance..it's on station 2 personally, I just walk but for those who prefers to use the tricycle..it's just 15 pesos one way.I won't think twice of renting this property again for my next visit to Boracay.

Staying at the Island Jewel was a great choice. The location while not on the beach is only on very short walk away. If you want a fancy hotel then this might not be the place for you because the rooms while being very nice and very clean are not fancy. The hotel does make you feel that you are staying on a topical island and not in a hotel that could be anywhere.
The staff is very friendly, very competent and will go out of their way to make sure that your stay is wonderful. I hated to leave and look forward to going back.

The hotel is okay for a budget hotel, but this is not the place for children or teenagers. Everytime our child used the shower, we had to clean the toilet and dry the C.R.. Shower sprays over all. This is ridiculous and was an added duty while on vacation diba. We had family members visit from another hotel and the teen daughter got cat calls on the beach from the local guys to the point it was very uncomfortable for her to walk alone. This was down the beach path from the hotel. When we told the staff he said, maybe they like her. Not the response we would expect. No view out the window, garbage piled up nearby. Not a good experience for us. Sorry to say these things.

Island Jewel sounded good on trip advisor, but simply put, we were disappointed. The rooms are basic, lack amenities, toilet must we wiped down by guest every time you shower as shower sprays on top of it as stated by other guests. In a way it is disgusting and very uncomfortable. We overlook a garbage bin in property next door. While there the power was out for hours and the Inn has no back up power so we had to sit with NO A.C. or power in our room. It was hot, uncomfortable and an experience I would not want to repeat. There is no real place to sit and mingle at hotel. My suggestion to Island Jewel is get a generator for back up power as they already charge what other hotels charge that have a generator back up power system. We found the food to be bland. We loved Boracay but after checking other hotel prices, amenities and locations we realized that better deals are available at better locations, even directly on the beach.

Island Jewel is located at the south part of Station 3.There is little activity further south. All the bars and restaurants gradually increase as you head north to Station 2.
It is about 60m from the beach via a small lane . The landmark for the lane from the beach is Treehouse Bar, which has excellent acoustic music at night.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cool, quiet and clean. There are a lot of shelves to spread out your gear so it does not feel cramped. Nice little balconies to relax on. No sea views but views over the hill .Breakfast is very basic-coffee, juice, toast and mango. This place is cheap and what you save here you can allow you to spend more on tours, restaurants etc.Overall an excellent affordable base.

Perfect location, a minute walk to the beach and to tbe restaurants at station 3. Station 3 is a bit quieter and more relaxing than station 2. We had booked two rooms (one for a single man and one for 3 girls) and on arrival staff were so accommodating and moved us girls into a bigger room. Rooms are spacious with AC, very clean, and fresh towels provided daily. Vanessa in particular has perfect english and was so smiley and helpful whenever we saw her. The breakfast each morning was delicious- half a fresh mango, fruit juice, tea or coffee, egg and toast. Staff were helpful in providing eating suggestions and activities and helped us with transport to the airport. Overall a perfect place to spend a week or more. We want to go back!!

We were in groups and it was very good for us because it has cheap rates in the very good location.Overall stay was relaxing, a vacation indeed (January 23-27, 2016)
Spacious room, cool a/c, king size bed, fluffy comforter, clean linen and plump pillows. The bathroom is also very clean and thank God the hot water is working well. I commend the staffs, specially the receptionist (Vanessa) for being warm and helpful and always delivering smile.

This hotel is well worth the walk. Located in station 3, but in a private and scenic location that had me spending more time in the room than originally planned. Simple but delicious breakfast served each morning. Nice room with windows and a balcony out front to hang drying towels or swimsuits. Amenities provided. Clean and well kept. Welcome signs upon your arrival. Transfers set up for smooth and easy arrival and departure. The best part was definitely the staff. Warm, friendly, and willing to help in an way possible. I would definitely stay there again, and look forward to doing so.

I had chosen this place mainly due to the reviews here. I got it at a great price. My first impression was that it was really small, although I was not expecting a large hotel.

The hotel is very close to the beach. The last few meters (maybe 200) to this hotel are like a way through a hillock. You need to go up and down. And vehicles are not allowed on this road, so you need to walk. This wasn't easy with a pregnant wife, with recent history of complications.

On the brighter side, the way to the beach was flat. There were no food options available at the hotel when we were there, but some of the restaurants on station 3 were very accessibly all day long.

The rooms are basic and clean. The shower pressure wasn't very good. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On all our days of stay, Brain and Joe arranged for a trike till the hotel doorstep for my wife(although trikes arent allowed to cross a particular point). This made our treks to station 2 very easy. They were very good with my son. For instance, one particular day my son insisted he wanted soup and picked up one instant soup pack. Joe prepared it for him with all smiles. There was no kettle in the room, but Brain would arrange hot water in a pot on request.

We were booked for 6 nights, and dedicded to cut short one night to break our journey on the way back at Kalibo. Brian refunded the one night cost without any fuss.

This place stands out for its staff behavior and friendliness.
