Laid back resort on the quiet end of Boracay. We appreciated the quiet and still waters. If you're not into partying, this place is ideal.

Wonderful staff and owner! I was on my 8th month of pregnancy when we visited and staff had put anti-slip stickers on our doorway.

Personal touch in rooms and other amenities: complete with anti mosquito device, room sprays, additional power sockets, etc.

They also had a wide variety of cuisines and dishes available in their cafe, including an authentic Japanese breakfast.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend and come back here.

The location of this hotel was the best thing. Located at station 3 side this part of the beach was perfectly quiet and relaxing and also very close to restaurants and atmosphere if u want it. Remember there are no sunbeds allowed on the beach or provided by hotel so you must bring a towel with you. I actually walked all the way up to the end of station 1 and still preferred this location the best. Station 1 was too quiet with zero atmosphere and the beach was nice but I found some seaweed on the shore, whereas there was none at my end.
The room was very basic, there is no mini bar or amenities. However there was shower gel etc provided, the safe also did not work so I couldn’t lock away my items. I didn’t find any insects in the room so it was well maintained. And the balcony patio was lovely and I really enjoyed sitting there each evening. The food is great and I ate dinner at the hotel Japanese restaurant. I really enjoyed the breakfast too and the view was gorgeous. Staff were all really nice and friendly. Overall a great stay and great location.

Very professionally run by super friendly manager and his staff. The only resort where I feel I had a satisfactory breakfast. Restaurant is overall very good. Decent WIFI (for Boracay) and good room size and comfort.
The only downside (depending on room and taste) is that curtains are not black-out enough; when too much light (strong sun) then it could sip thru. But I have encountered far worse in the Philippines.

As a couple we stayed here for 9 nights, I cannot recommend it but to be honest this could have been our best choice as station 1 with it`s 5 star hotels nearly look the same and a few of them have bar crawl signs so at least at surfside no sign of bar crawls.
Room was ok and air con was good, room service was ok but found they would take the toilet roll and not replace and the same with top sheets from the beds, items were very safe in the room and a safety deposit box is a good size, as always the mini bar is very expensive but you can find a shop along the road and get your own supplies.
We did have an issue the first night as we went to the hotels restaurant! on taking a table we were asked if we did not mind waiting 45 mins for our food as it had to be cooked off site, hotel prices for takeaway food? we left, Next morning was different as sitting for breakfast coffee was fine we both ordered a different dish each and my wifes came out and she finished and i was still waiting, even though only about 5 customers where there so it was not busy, when we asked about it the waitress must have forgot so again we left.
Enough of my moaning! anyway the menu for breakfast is ok but otherwise it is really aimed at the Japanese tourists.
Free beach towels to use each day and if you wish to go snorkeling then at reception they hire out snorkels and fins for the day at 100 peso for the pair unlike the dive shop next door which wanted to charge me 200 peso an hour. I do have a tip on where to snorkel at station 3 so if you want to know drop me a line. But go careful of the sea urchins around the coral but worth taking an underwater camera.
So hotel was ok and maybe in the best part of the beach but if you are expecting paradise when you get there then you will not find it on Boracay as it`s been ruined by tourism.
If you need any advice drop me a line as we spent most of our time off the island and toured the mainland with a guide so if you want his number let me know.

My girlfriend and I stayed here from 1st-9th July 2015, we booked with Expedia.
I called them in the morning of our evening arrival and they asked if we would like them to arrange transport from Kalibo airport to the hotel, I said yes.
So glad we did, it's pure mayhem if you not been before there is a lady that meets you and travels all the way to the hotel, paying out tips to the porters en route etc, all in the one price payable to the hotel reception! PHP750 each one way.
We booked deluxe room, Orchid. Queen 4 poster bed, nice hard mattress, very clean, umbrellas, slippers, hammock, as good a wifi you will get on Boracay too.
The staff were great they loved us and we loved them. also lovely to try the Japanese food too.
The spa was very special indeed;
Had lots of massages from an array of experts, each one seemed to do a little something special on different muscle structures around the body, a joy to behold!
Reception was always able to help and advise with any queries any time, and loved a little chat too!
All in all we found it fair value for money, and would recommend this quiet little hotel to people who want this easy laid back holiday life just 20 minutes walk from serious party action.....!!

Three weeks in the Philippines and hands down this was my favourite stay. Everything from location, beach, staff, resort, spa and food was 100% spot on!

Resort - Surfside is located in boat station 3 away from the madness of the beach dwellers in boat station 2. Easy enough to walk to everything, whilst ensuring you get a good nights sleep away from the noise. The beach is lovely and clean. Sun loungers are reserved for guests and beach towels are provided. There is a lovely spa on site where guests get 50% off treatments (get the full body massage!). The onsite restaurant was great! Breakfast was included with a choice of continental, American or Filipino options. The extensive menu offered local, Western, Asian and Japanese food. We ate here everyday at some point and enjoyed every meal. Staff were attentive to serve drinks on the beach. Rooms were large, spacious, comfy beds, balcony with hammock, with TV, fridge & air con. Separate toilet, sink and shower room made the hotel room feel very spacious.

Location – Boracay is split into 3 boat stations - (1) high end big resorts (2) central overcrowded beach, all the shops, bars and restaurants & (3) quieter emptier beach, budget accommodation with the feel of 'old Boracay'. Surfside is situated towards the end of boat station 3, which was a 10/15 min walk along the beach to the main hub of everything. There is a side road next to the resort, so grabbing a bike / tricycle was no bother should you not want to walk. The beach is lined with accommodation, bars and restaurants, so despite being a 'bit further out' you still have everything to hand. In fact, we ate locally in boat station 3 most nights as it was cheaper and nicer.

Staff – The staff here were all wonderful :) We arrived before check in was open, so were welcomed and headed straight to the beach & our bags were taken up to the room for us once it was ready. All staff were friendly, attentive & helped us when we were looking to arrange a boat for the day. Big shout out to Joy who even got up early to make us a packed breakfast to take with us when we left at 5:15am, and arranged for their driver to drop us off at the port for free.

Prices were high in comparison to the rest of the Philippines, but inline with the average higher end resorts in Boracay. Considering the standard of service & how great our stay was, I wasn't too put out by this and would definitely return to again. This was definitely one spot i was sad to leave and couldn't recommend more highly!

I did a lot of research before I decided on Surfside for me and my family. Surfside was even better than I expected and we ended up having the best vacation ever.

Location: Beachfront at the end of Station 3. Gorgeous view from the resort and just a couple of steps and you were right on White Beach! I prefer a quiet surrounding when it comes to accomondationand this was perfect. Quiet and peaceful but just a short stroll and you found yourself at the buzzing Station 2.

Room: We stayed in the Family room and were very pleased. Hard but comfortable beds, clean and simple overall. Great terrace with table and four chairs where you can hang out if you want. My only complaint is that sometimes it took forever to get hot water in the shower but thats a minor issue. Aircondtion worked very well, great tvchannel selection and a fridge in the room to store drinks! Towels and sheets smelled wonderful!

Service: Great from the start, sweet and helpful staff that cared for all your needs. They recognised you instantly and there were never a fuss about anything. We recieved friendship bracelets when we were to return home and they even made a packed breakfast for us when we had an early departure

Food: Nagisa café and restaurant serves excellent food and we loved the staff. They serve great breakfast with a wide selection, make awesome mango pancakes, have lovely japanese and filipino dishes and the drinks are...strong! ;) only downer was the lack of desserts and the burger.

Yasuragi spa: excellent treatments and nice staff! Received an complimentary 1h massage and tried various treatments during our stay. Happy with all of them!

I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!

Run by a japanese family this hotel is trustworthy and nice. Building itself not spectacular and there are nice new hotels around. But location is great at a very beautiful and quite part of White Beach.

We had the junior suite with an amazing and nearly beautiful view on the ocean. Room is nice and clean. Staff is friendly and efficient.

We can recommend the attached Yasuragi Spa.

If you want to go diving, there are plenty operators around, but don't use the one next to the hotel.

Great location, service, staff. The people there aim to make your stay so very special. The extras really make you feel so at ease. From a warm welcome on arrival, coupons for free massages (they were great), to putting complimentary beach towels on your lounger for you. The staff are good with English and Japanese and also manage quite well with other languages.
Our room was very good. The in-room safe was essential. The plumbing worked well and the bed was very good.
The hotel can arrange transportation to and from the airport and even extra curricular trips. They have available life jackets and snorkel gear and sell at a minimal price flip-flops if needed.
The cafe, looking out to the beach, serves up a good variety of dishes served up by very friendly staff. (All of the Philippines are behind when it comes to knowledge of gluten-free diets.) The drinks are great.
The spa offers great massages that will be urging you to return for one more the next day.
The location is at the quiet end of the beach, away from the frenzied masses of tourist at station 2. However everything is close by with the aid of a tricycle, man powered or motored. It's a small island.
I joked I was going to give a bad review to help my chances of having vacancies available for my next trip. However, that would be selfish and the hotel and staff deserve plenty of acclaim. A perfect stay guys, thanks so much and see you soon!
