This Habagat/monsoon season's top recommendation goes to the wonderful people behind the counters and the gracious Japanese owner of this cozy place. Excellent and genuine customer service! If your Boracay style is loud, crowded, flashy, and extravagant, then this isn't the place for you. Surfside's charm is low-key, clean, and unpretentious, reminding me of the old Boracay of the late 90's. The restaurant menu choices--though plenty and sumptuous--are very affordable. Their signature Yasuragi massage will make you feel like royalty. The best part of our Surfside experience is Tin-Tin, the resort's adopted Calico cat, who welcomes and sends off guests so affectionately, making us feel like returning very soon.

Laid back resort on the quiet end of Boracay. We appreciated the quiet and still waters. If you're not into partying, this place is ideal. Wonderful staff and owner! I was on my 8th month of pregnancy when we visited and staff had put anti-slip stickers on our doorway. Personal touch in rooms and other amenities: complete with anti mosquito device, room sprays, additional power sockets, etc. They also had a wide variety of cuisines and dishes available in their cafe, including an authentic Japanese breakfast. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend and come back here.

Very professionally run by super friendly manager and his staff. The only resort where I feel I had a satisfactory breakfast. Restaurant is overall very good. Decent WIFI (for Boracay) and good room size and comfort. The only downside (depending on room and taste) is that curtains are not black-out enough; when too much light (strong sun) then it could sip thru. But I have encountered far worse in the Philippines.

The location of this hotel was the best thing. Located at station 3 side this part of the beach was perfectly quiet and relaxing and also very close to restaurants and atmosphere if u want it. Remember there are no sunbeds allowed on the beach or provided by hotel so you must bring a towel with you. I actually walked all the way up to the end of station 1 and still preferred this location the best. Station 1 was too quiet with zero atmosphere and the beach was nice but I found some seaweed on the shore, whereas there was none at my end. The room was very basic, there is no mini bar or amenities. However there was shower gel etc provided, the safe also did not work so I couldn’t lock away my items. I didn’t find any insects in the room so it was well maintained. And the balcony patio was lovely and I really enjoyed sitting there each evening. The food is great and I ate dinner at the hotel Japanese restaurant. I really enjoyed the breakfast too and the view was gorgeous. Staff were all really nice and friendly. Overall a great stay and great location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Surfside. The room (Ocean room) was huge and included a large fridge with mini bar items and freezer compartment, a sofa and table and chairs, as well as a safe, large comfy bed, tv with channel list, WiFi, and an outdoor balcony area with chairs and loungers. We received a warm welcome - welcome drinks, cold towels and necklaces. The staff were lovely and kind - very helpful at all times. The location of the hotel is ideal - situated on the beach adjacent to many other restaurants and hotels. The only reason I didn’t give this hotel 5/5 is the breakfast - while acceptable, it could have been improved both in quality and choice (but as free breakfasts go, I shouldn’t complain!) The restaurant in the hotel has mainly Japanese food, and there is a spa (guests receive a discount). I’d stay there again 👍🏻

This hotel, cafe, spa is the only place we would stay at. The location is wonderful as it is in the quietest neighbourhood on the beach. Close to Angol Point a road reaching down to the beach from the main road. Among a selection of nice alternative places to eat. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are very nice and quiet. The cafe offers a variety of food but specializes in Japanese. The spa provides a very satisfying and affordable massage. Management strive to ensure your stay is comfortable and satisfying. The only down side to our trip this time was an uncooperative wi-fi! I’m sure this could be remedied soon. Thanks once again Surfside for ensuring our trip was, once again, a happy and memorable time. John and Fran

We stayed at a different hotel before and were not happy so we were walking along the beach to find a new place. They gave us an free upgrade and we paid less then online... (although you need a reservation to be allowed into boracay) The room was a little outdated, but very big and clean. The breakfast was very good and all the staff was super friendly. Obviously they do not have beach chairs any more the same then all the other places, but the beach in front had online a few people very relaxing. Would go again...
