it was a pleasant stay all throughout. ample parking spaces, great function hall, good central location. had it not been for the boring breakfast, this resort would earn 5 stars from this guest. i say boring because there was not much to offer any alternative drinks (hot tea & choco incur added cost). service staff was attentive & courteous. food was generally average. the most enticing part of this resort is the harbor view situated at the back. the sea has a calming effect to the stressed and weary soul. will definitely come back if time & budget permits.
Swimming pool for adult open just in the morning. During the afternoon and night is possible use swimming pool for under 10 years old. It is not possible choose the breakfast: the restaurant is closed and for this reason there is service in the room, but there is not a time and they give just Filipino breakfast. This is a problem if you have children. The room is dirty. If you walk without shoes than you will see black feet. I forgot that they give breakfast just for adult, none for children
I booked 2 rooms for our family to crash in after a full day of touring Bohol. I reserved the rooms through Agoda. The advertisement boasted 3 swimming pools, a bustling restaurant and free breakfast buffet in the morning. Upon arrival we were told that 2 out of the 3 swimming pools were closed due to treatment. The restaurant was closed due to renovations and there would be no breakfast buffet. We had just been out all day. All we wanted was a shower and a nice dinner. Instead we forced to ride a trike to the nearest McDonald's. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the view of the bay is breath taking. If all you are looking to do is lay your head down to sleep, this is the place. Not much else to do.
I just left Bohol Tropics and i will never recommend this place to anybody. First, on our first day at the resort , there was no hotwater coming out of the faucet, called the front desk and informed them. Came back from dinner used the bathroom and toilet bowl has no water in the tank. Called the front desk, no answer, had to go out found a guard and requested for maintenance to fix the toilet, and yes still no hotwater and this was 1:00 am. The next day, called the front desk at 10 am , again no answer, walked to the front desk and requested for the hot water to get checked, check the leak under the sink which is discovered that morning and to pick up the complimentary breakfast and change sheets and towels. Came back to the hotel at 9:00 pm, bed was not fixed, no new towels and breakfast plates and food was still in the room. Walked to thefront desk and complained again, and the answer was , did you request for these things to done? What? Aren’t you supposed to do that, unless otherwise requested by the customer. Offered to get moved to another room, due a leak under the sink, again no hotwater in the alternate room. Finally, they moved us to another room , with working hotwater and toilet. Very poor service !!!!! Will never comeback nir recommend the place to anyone!!!!…
We have waited for our food for a long time, and when the food finally arrived, my son’s order was missing. When we asked the waiter about the order, he has no clue. The waiter keep ignoring us as he keep passing by our table not fixing the problem. The name of that waiter was Raul. Terrible service.
Service is horrible. It takes more than 2hours to eat one dish. It looks like the ladies at the main desk doesn’t understand half of your common questions. And the swimming pool at the entrance is under construction. To avoid except if you need to take the ferry earlier in the morning.
We stayed for 3 nights to visit my daughter who is in the peace corp. This was our home base for some tours of Bohol. Loved the pool and restaurant was good with big selection. Include breakfast was so so.
The compound is huge. They have complete amenities - pool, restaurant, jogging area and view. The food is great too. My only comment is the aircon. The aircon in our room and the room next to us is obviously not working well. We told the front desk about this several times but they insist that it is working. Tipong papawisam ka habang natutulog, really not ok. We found out that our friends in the next room was having the same problem. We asked for an electric fan just so we can sleep properly. Our friends asked for a fan too but they were told that they only have one. They were asked to transfer to the next room but the aircon is still the same, it was not working well. The staff that was assigned at the function hall needs to be retrained as well. They were very noisy to the point that their voices can be heard in the recording of our proceedings, even the banging and clinking of plates and the spoons and forks that they are cleaning. We did not meet our target number of participants, meaning we have a lot of extra food. But when we asked the waiters and the one in charge of the kitchen to pack food for 2, they declined saying that there were no leftovers. I had to inform them that we did not meet the number of pax and had I wanted to, I could ask for all the remaining food to be packed and given to us. They did not say anything to this and just complied. We were given leftovers that really looked like leftovers. We found out that the staff also eat from the food allotted to us. This is actually ok for us since we really have no way of disposing the leftovers, but they should inform us first since we are often visited by key officials in the area.…
We stayed at an Ambassador Garden Room type. PROS: - room was big for our family of 5 adults and 2 kids - has two toilet and two shower - 4 single beds plus you can add one extra bed - 3 different pools plus one of the pools is open till 12 midnight, good if you want to do night swimming - breakfast buffet was available - love the location, it’s in Tagbilaran city but when you’re inside the resort, it’s calm and relaxing CONS: - some items in their menu placed in our room was no longer available. It would be good if they’ll remove those so as not to mislead their guests. - bedsheets were rough and there were stains left (probably too difficult to wash them off) Our family had a great time at Bohol Tropics. No doubt we will come and visit this place again.
We are on day 7 of a 9 day stay Hotel A little tired and run down but ok for what the rate was. Check in was very easy and although for a somewhat off smell the room was ok. The only complaint is that the service staff is very noisy when not waiting on customers. We have the room closest to check in and their conversation level is too loud for you to sit outside and read. The individuals at the gate were very helpful on obtaining tricycle rides and stopping traffic when trying to drive out of the lot into traffic. Restaurant Our room came with breakfast buffet which was marginally acceptable. However we ate there two dinners. The first took over an hour to receive our food, the steak ordered medium well arrived medium rate at best and took over 25 minutes to be returned. My wife gave up waiting and left and did not get to eat her beef tenderloin and no apology or refund was offered by the restaurant staff or the front desk when discussed with them. Our second dinner while ok, took almost 40 minutes to arrive even though we were the only customers in the restaurants. Pork chop ok, chef salad ordered with oil and vinegar, took two askings to get oil, no vinegar was ever brought to table. Although this an ok budget resort they seem too focused on supporting weddings, reunions etc. and not individuals staying at the resort.…
