There have been two reasons why we choose this hotel. First it is next door to Sierra Madre Dive center (our choice) and as we stayed during the Chinese mid autumn festival Alone was very booked and not much else available. Did we regret it? No Hayahay is a typical Asian Hotel in the lower price range, so don't expect too much. But regarding the price we got a clean room, working AC, not too much noise form the bars and restaurants and quite nice staff. When you are a diver, all you need is a good bed for the night and this we definitely got. The only critique is that they serve breakfast only from 7:30 onwards, this is too late if you want to be at 8 at the dive center as the kitchen is rather slow. But you will find other solutions in the area. I usually too a short walk to

We stayed at Hayahay Resort while diving with Genesis Divers. Our room was clean, comfortable and convenient. The staff were friendly and professional. It was very nice to be so close to the dive shop, as well as many very good restaurants and bars. We'll try to stay here again when we come back to dive. Thank you!

Great beachfront hotel with an excellent location walk downstairs and right on alona beach. Short walk 3 minutes or so from the car drop off point but assistance is provided from the hotel if you book a car with them 600php for a transfer from the airport or the ferry terminal. The rooms are large and clean and the food at the restaurant is tasty and well priced

I was one of the many, many tourists displaced after Boracay was suddenly closed down. Scrambling for a back-up, my partner and I were desperate to find a replacement destination. Our only requirements were that it was a beachfront hotel and that the rooms were decent. Hayahay's prices seemed too good to be true. We didn't know what to expect. But upon entering our room we were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, with a huge bed and clean sheets. The bathroom had hot and cold water, as promised. The WiFi was great. We were able to stream stuff without problems. Having a safe meant never worrying about our stuff being taken. Our room was cleaned everyday and we were given bottled water daily (a huge necessity seeing as none of the water in Panglao is potable). If you

At the time I didn't have much of a choice for hotels....they were filling up fast and had to make a decision. It's decent hotel, with average sized rooms. They have a small restaurant on the first floor and it's right on the beach. There is a somewhat steep ramp to get up to the hotel desk, if it's been raining or wet...might be a little slippery. There's no elevator, so if you have heavy bags, just use a porter. It's centrally located among all the other hotels, restaurants and dive shops. There are plenty of places to explore, have massages and the diving is pretty good as well.

We dived with Genesis and had a package deal. The room was spacious and our room was cleaned everyday. Initially we went for the fan room. The slow ceiling fan was slow and didn’t help in the humid weather. So we changed to an aircon room which was much more comfortable. The staffs are always friendly and helpful. It’s also convenient to eat at the restaurant downstairs. However, if you book the dolphin watching and island hopping tour with JM tours through Hayahay, just ask which boat you would be using. The boat that we took (Joel-1) wasn’t in great condition (motor was too loud).

nice place to stay. price is very reasonable and affordable. have your meals right in front of the beach. plenty of restaurants nearby. A special shout to their receptionist,Cresia, who always had a smile and very eager to assist. she helped us find a driver to tour us around Bohol. and a taxi to take me to the airport and my friend to the seaport on our departure day. downside is since this hotel is right in front of the beach, there's about a few minutes walk on the sand to where you could take public transport. so imagine carrying your bags to and from the hotel on your arrival and departure day. although the guard did help us with our bags as we left the hotel. but I'm willing to stay here again next time.

Definitely recommending this place. Perfect beachfront location, affordable rates, delicious food and helpful staff esp Ms Janet. Had a great time. Thanks guys! For countryside tours, ask for Mr Willy's services. He's cool, very flexible. When you go to Balicasag Island for island hopping, check with Ms Janet first. I had a bad experience with a certain local guide.
