Detailed Reviews
Panglao is not that PWD friendly in general. We had to drag our luggages across the beach with no help. If you want help, you need to pay up, which we could have, had we known the men outside the drop off area can be summoned for a fee. Plus, get your hotel to assist you which they didn’t tell us either. Grateful we got the room we requested but was not informed that they don’t serve breakfasts at 8am. For early risers like us, coffee would suffice but there is no pot in the room to heat water either. We also had to put up with the strong air freshener in the room overnight that we cannot find where it’s coming from. We got a room at the 3rd floor, a ramp will get you to the second and stairs up. There is a restaurant nearby named Pyramid, which we are grateful for great breakfasts. We commend Juviebel and Paul for being ever so cheerful during our stay. And the housekeeping girl who assisted us with our luggages. We had to cancel our tour because our backs hurt from carrying it ourselves from Day 1.

Good location if you want to be on alona beach (it's a bit crazy because it's a public beach, annoying vendors). It is right on the beach next to really good massage ladies. Staff is friendly. DO NOT pay extra for the ocean view room, they do not exist. After finding out that I paid $10USD extra a night for something they don't even have, I was irritated that they also charged me daily to use a blow dryer. The restaurant is caustic with nice but poor service, food never came out hot or timely. There are much better places to stay near by. I'd recommend a different beach, then just visit Alona beach. Room service was good WHEN it made it to our room (about every other day). Cheap towels. Nice pillows. Comfortable king bed. Tiny rooms with nowhere to put anything. Nice that they have a table and chairs and drying rack outside the door though.

NO sea views at all from rooms here at all. The ocean breeze rooms are simply first floor. The only ocean view is from the 1st floor bar.
Staff are lovely and helpful. Reasonable pricing for such a tourist focus resort. Fish is expensive along the beach, but a variety of food available for all. I would stay again but don't over pay for something like a sea view you cannot get. See photo of the" ocean breeze view" staff on e again are lovely, clean nice rooms. Enjoyed but don't over pay.

Please be careful if you are dining at the restaurant. I ordered crab and fish, you pay by weight & price. The crab was 1185 PHP and the fish was 420 PHP. But when the bill came, the crab is 1300 PHP and the fish is 450 PHP excluding service charge of 190 PHP.
They sneaked the additional price to the bill. I noticed it because I’m sensitive to numbers and also I will speak up when it’s not right.
The staff was extremely rude when I pointed it to her even though she adjust the bill.
Dishonest.

This review is for the restaurant only.
We stopped there for dinner.
Ordered Thai shrimp dish and a Thai prawn dish.
Service was slow and the waitress could not answer any questions about food.
For example they have a section of “Sizzling dishes” we asked what the dishes were made with. They didn’t know. We asked , “sweet, sour, spicy?”
3 wait staff didn’t know.
It wasn’t a language issue .
My GF is Filipino.
Food came and it was an appetizer portion.
The shrimp was maybe 6 small pieces. Medium size.
The prawns were the size of jumbo shrimp.
All completely shelled .
Rice was extra.
Water was extra,
Way over priced for tiny portions.

We ate at Hayahay Resort for dinner. The red Thai beef curry consisted of undercooked potatoes and beef that was closer to beef jerky than a texture of what had been brewed in a curry. Moving onto the pork bbq, this was similarly hard to chew to the point that we couldn’t eat it at all. Lastly, our burger bun was hard to the point of being fossilised. I would highly recommend on your next visit to Alona beach at Panglao that you walk an additional 20 steps either side of this restaurant and experience something that is edible.

This place became our main restaurant due to their amazing sizzling seafood dishes. The place is located on the beach.
My father and sister fell in love with the sizzling shrimp while i ate sizzling fish and squid.
The new year drinks were also great.
The mango float (dessert) is also a must.

Disgraceful service. Food was very poor and overpriced. Then they overcharged us and reduced my wife to tears. Continue to accuse her of underpaying. Manager was worse and had poor attitude as did stay. If accommodation is anything like restaurant be afraid, very afraid.

I have stayed at the older building many times. This was our first time staying in the new building. The rooms are tiny. Very clean. Not vey comfortable. I have no idea what they were thinking. So much space wasted that could have been used to make the rooms bigger. The staff are amazing. The food is excellent. I will stay in the older building from now on.

Very friendly staff. Rooms were not as good as hotel rooms but the property is exactly in front of the beach. Very accessible to bars if you want to enjoy the night life. Rooms are ok if you are looking for a place just to sleep while you are away all day exploring Bohol.
