Stayed there for a night as it was close to the airport. But it was in a place non of our taxi drivers knew. Staff were v friendly but that is pretty standard in Philippines. The room was very basic ( even for the price we paid, there are many other better options at same price which we stayed in Puerto Princesa). Wifi doesn't work in the room (room 6) as I suppose too far from lobby and there is no reception of my own mobile in that hotel as well. So you are stuck with no connection to the outside world. Mattress is way too soft as if it has been used for decades. Bath soap and shampoo provided seem dirty and have been in the container forever. Breakfast was made to order but selection was very limited. They even charged us 220 pesos for an extra order of fruits we asked for (they only have us 3 small slices of apple) from the beginning. No transfer service to city so again, you are stuck if you don't wanna pay for taxi. Even though their staff are friendly, it doesn't deserve such high rating. I would never stay there again. Go for the bigger names are safer in this island.

What can we say, the title says it all! From the pick up from the airport, till the drop of at the airport; Everything is fabulous arranged, the rooms are spot on, the shower is heaven, large and great waterpressure, breakfast is good, loooved the juice.
The staff is absolutely fantastic, always willing to help, call a trike and always with a (sincere!) smile. Seth, Venus, Andrea, Jeremiah and all the guys which i don't know the names of sorry (kitchen and waiters) thank you so much for your great hospitality, your positive energy and arranging our last minute trip to the Underground River.
To the smokers; the property is smokefree but there's a fabulous cottage at the entrance (see picture) especially for the smokers which we really enjoyed with a great cappuccino (Nespresso).
Now Enrico & Lito (owners) what a blessing that we've met, it was the beginning of a friendship which will hopefully last a lifetime, we will be back next year darlings!

Much Love,
Jan & Patricia

I only stayed here one night, which I booked 20 minutes before turning up. The receptionist is lovely and speaks English well, she helped us with our tour the next day calling ahead to double check they knew where we were staying to pick us up in the morning. The staff also helped us suggest somewhere for dinner and made reservations for us at the Number 1 restaurant in town and even suggested a friends hotel in El Nido which helped massively as El Nido was fully booked! The rooms where very spacious and very comfortable beds and pillows ! The breakfast was also delicious. We didn't want to leave !

I am writing this from the terrace of my room that overlooks a gorgeous garden and beautiful swimming pool. This place is a hidden treasure! From the free breakfast, to the incredible staff.. I am so glad we chose to stay here for 3 nights at the end of a busy couple of weeks in Boracay and El Nido! We don't even want to leave the hotel! The room is spacious and immaculate with fabulous beds. The shower is excellent. There are loungers by the pool with sun umbrellas, and moments after you sit down one of the staff will bring you iced water and a fresh pool towel. Just a 5 min tricycle ride to the center of town. The restaurant menu is limited at first glance, but the food is delicious. We are so happy to be here :)

Room was big and comfortable. On the night transformer works very loudly and roosters make noise it was interfering with sleep.
Breakfast was very poor and very small. The Coffee tastes like dishwater.

Good day! Ms. Bozena K. After reading carefully your review it seems that you either have reviewed the wrong hotel or being totally dishonest on your feedback. And now let me tell you why. Your first statement regarding a transformer, or hat it is technically called a generator. Paboreal Boutique hotel does not carry a transformer or generator of any kind . Our electric is provided a only by the city government. We do not use any kind of generator. All our reviews simply conform how peaceful and quiet our location is so your complain of loud noise at night can't be true as it cannot be supported by the simple fact that we do not have a generator. Our neighbors on both side of our property do not carry transformer or generator. Second statement. Regarding chicken. Paboreal does not have any Roosters, only roosters crows, not chicken. Also our neighbors do not have what you call chicken. As the owner of the property who physically leave on the same compound of the hotel I would be aware of these 2 serious conditions. That is why it seems you may have reviewed the wrong hotel which is a very serious mistake. And in this case your review should be retracted immediately. Now regarding the menu. It is not correct to suggest that our menu offers only pasta dishes. We have a selection of homemade soups, fresh salads, different type of sandwiches. Squid dishes , shrimps dishes, Chicken dishes, and assortment of deserts. So your statement of only pasta is totally misleading and incorrect. As for the coffee, you are for sure mistaken . We at Paboreal offer imported Italian coffee, Nespresso coffee machine , the only hotel in Puerto Princessa offering as of now this quality espresso, cappuccino and Italian coffee. So to resume simply, you either have reviewed the wrong hotel or you are trying very hard to be totally dishonest to destroy our good reputation. At this point I will forward your review to the main TripAdvisor office and ask them to contact you on this serious misleading and serious negative feedback which is a total lie based on the facts that what you are reporting does not exist on our property. Enrico Coco owner of Paboreal boutique hotel.

This hotel and its staff was one of the nicest things about our stay in Puerto Princesa. Everything was, of course, beautiful and exceptionally clean (we especially appreciated how spacious the rooms were), but what really sets it apart was the willingness of everyone in the hotel to go out of their way to ensure that we had a comfortable time. We were picked up and dropped to the airport, received every assistance in booking our trip to the Underground River and our transfer to El Nido, and received very helpful recommendations about what we should see in El Nido.

What we were really touched by was the fact that their staff stayed back beyond their official hours to have dinner for us on the night that we returned late to the hotel. The owners were so friendly and warm and obviously treated all their guests as part of their family. They sent over a home made bread and a delicious tart to our table and even gave us beautiful goodbye gifts. I have never experienced such hospitality and recommend this hotel without reservation to everyone!

We arrived late around 8.00pm and were picked up at the airport arranged by the hotel. We arrived and were warmly greeted by a friendly receptionist and Enrico. On seeing we were tired and probably hungry Enrico arrange for some sandwiches and a beer to be sent to our room. The room already had some fruit for us. The room was spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was cooked for us each day and we also had dinner one night, the menu was limited however the pasta we had was surprisingly good. The staff also arrange for two tours for us and a driver to do a city tour. This was all done with a smile and good humor. The position is a bit remote although close to the airport and town you need a trike to get around, fortunately the hotel arrange our driver and we used him for the time we were there. I think his name was Ryan. Enrico also recommended a couple of local restaurants which we found to be excellent.
It was sad to leave these friendly hospitable people and when we finally did leave Enrico arranged for us to be driven in his car to the airport and he came with us to bid us a final farewell. In my many travels around the world I have rarely come across service as good as this, and genuine service not like the big chains where it is somewhat strained. I thoroughly recommend Paboreal Boutique Hotel, it's the best.

Our family of 3 (adult daughter) spent the last 3 days of our Philippinne vacation at Paboreal in February. What a relaxing place to visit after a hectic couple of weeks. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are refreshingly decorated and the service is outstanding. The Owner and Staff were always eager to help in any way. The menu in the dining area is perfect for breakfast and lunch as well as a light dinner if we decided to stay in. We can't say enough, highly recommended.

The Paboreal is a hidden gem! I was in palawan for 4 days in march while island hopping through the Philippines. Puerto Princessa is a little off the beaten path which I love. I came there to get scuba certified and after much research found the paboreal hotel. I actually missed my ride to the hotel from the airport and ended up in the wrong van. once the driver figured out where i was going the paboreal sent a trike to meet me and take me to my first diving lesson which I thought I would miss but didn't. Even tho the hotel is on a dirt road in what seems like a backroad area the hotel is truly a boutique hotel and immaculate. The grounds remind you of a mini oasis with beautiful flowers and plants everywhere. The rooms are very clean and extremely spacious. I would recommend asking for a top floor room to get some of the amazing views. The AC is amazing and you'll def. need it in the heat and humidity of philippines. The staff is super friendly and accommodating especially my server moon (I think that was his name). The owner even came out and spoke to me for quite some time while I ate. The staff made sure all my needs were met. they had trikes ready for me to ensure I made it to all my dive lessons and provided me with any information I needed. The hotel is not far from the main bustle of the city but is so peaceful you don't need to leave. The only downside is there aren't a lot of options in food. I had the chicken tenders which were ok, but a few of the other choices weren't that great and I found myself having to eat the same thing everyday. I'll give the hotel a B- because of the lack of food choices and quality of food, which can be a deterrent for people with children or have special diets. Also the hotel needs to have more clearly marked vans to pick up people that would have prevented me from hopping in the wrong van.

Grazie
