My wife and I had a great 6 day stay at the hotel during our holiday in Puerto Princesa. The warm ambiance of the room, garden, swimming pool and staff gives you a feeling of staying with friends or family but with the benefits and convenience of a hotel. This place is definitely recommendable to travelers who prefer an out-of-town, quiet and relaxed stay, while still being able to be inside the city center within 15 mins using public transport.
My friend and I stayed 2 nights in this Hotel. I somehow missed it was gay oriented hotel but even as a heterosexual I encountered no issues whatsoever, just missing female guests being around. It is a small resort with pool, check in/out hassle free. They organized for us trip to Sabang and also private transport to el Nido. Smoking just outside of hotel, breakfast small and basic, room huge, bed comfy, didn´t have a chance to take a dip in their pool. Location is somewhat awkward, there´s not too much around the resort and you should take a tricycle - very cheap though.
Lovely little hotel a bit outside the City-center of Puerto Princesa Stayed here 6 nights early April 2019 in a superior room at the 1. Floor. The room was clean and nice. It’s a 30 min walk or 70php tricycle-ride from PP city center The staff were very service-minded There is a small swimming pool with some sun beds. We didn’t have problems getting place when needed. Breakfast is menu-set-style. Fine but not special. Good WiFi all over the hotel Value for money After staying here we went on a live aboard-trip. When returning from this we needed transport from PP to El Nido. We book transport via the hotel before leaving, and when not knowing when we would return they offered that we could come back, use the pool and have a shower before the transport. No service…
Upon arriving to the hotel after driving down a bumpy deserted road, thinking to myself... this place is going to suck. I saw such a nice resort on a road mixed within fallen down shacks and empty lots. The resort was clean and fresh with a pleasant hotel staff. The photos of the room online don't really give a good description of this resort. I think its actually better than the photos which is a first. For the price I would recommend this hotel but in general I would not recommend staying in Puerto Princesa as there really isn't much to do.
Our first time to visit Puerto Princesa and we are not expecting so much but amazingly this hotel exceeded our expectations. We checked-in late, but we are deeply touched by the warm welcome of the staff (Andrea and Jeff). They also accommodate our last minute requests. The massage room service was undeniably great and worth the price. The room is spacious and very clean. I love the idea that the wash area, toilet and shower are separated. So cozy and absolutely clean. The AC and fan is very cold (I love it!) plus the wifi is working well since we got the chance to send messages via email/whatsapp/messenger. They also manage to book us for the Firely viewing and City tour. Breakfast is so nice, we enjoyed the quiet moments while having breakfast before going the city your. …
The staff are all extremely welcoming and go out of their way to help you if you have any questions, will quickly order you a tricycle, or offer to call restaurant in the area to check if they are open. Breakfast is simple, eggs, fruit, toast but is filling enough. Through out the day staff will bring round filtered jugs of water while you sunbathe. The rooms are large and clean with good air conditioning and a fan. A very nice touch is they have an extra battery powered fan which is useful for the power cuts on Palawan. Unfortunately the evening before we were due to get an early bus up to El Nido, I got food poisoning from another restaurant. The staff at the hotel could not be more helpful, allowing my party to stay in our room (without charging any extra) and organised a…
On the back of some excellent reviews we booked a three night stay. The decision was the right one. Although off the beaten track it oozes charm and character and is small enough to allow the staff to give you a personalised stay. And the staff tick every box. Led by an affable gentleman by the name of Enriqo all will give their all to make your stay memorable. Book excursions with them in the confidence knowing they will be punctual and cost effective. All in all a first class package.
Stayed in a familyroom for 3 nights. The hotel is nice and quiet with a clean pool that we enjoyed. Big rooms with comfy beds. Walking distance to public beach. Would have been nice if they offered pancakes/toast for children at breakfast. They promised to pick us up at the airport but forgot this even though the hotel was not half full. Seemed a bit unorganized with information because of many reception staff. A part from this I highly recommend this place!
I wish I could give them 6 stars! By far the best value we found in Puerto Princessa. We stayed at more expensive places with fewer amenities. Massage service was great, breakfast was delicious, Laundry service was reasonably priced and fast, internet was fast, beds were comfortable, and staff were all delightful! Loved our stay!
Paboreal is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Princesa. Whether you are in Puerto Princesa for a night (heading to El Nido) or for a few days (Honda Bay and Underground river) make Paboreal your base. Searching through TripAdvisor don’t be tempted by the photos of the bigger hotels/“resorts” because they can be deceiving. Paboreal’s photos may not be impressive, but I really think one should give this gem of a hotel a try. Number 1: impressed by the courteous staff and attentive owner. It was super difficult to find non dairy milk in the city, but the owner went to the market to buy us soy milk! The smiles of everyone also added to a lovely experience. Number 2: cleanliness Number 3: simply quiet from the chaos of the centre. If you are wanting some city…
