A group of us stayed here the night of arriving in PP before embarking our scuba liveaboard and chose the hotel as it was where the liveaboard company did a town pick up from. Simple accommodation, but clean and functioning. Very spacious rooms - we had 4 girls sharing one room with two double beds. The bathroom/shower was a little tired but I only had one quick shower. A pretty garden surrounding a pool - I didn't end up swimming as it was quite a hot, muggy, grey day and the pool was more warm than refreshing in that moment, but I also only spent about 18 hours total at the hotel so if I was there longer I would definitely have had some pooltime. It was cute watching some local kids have a mermaiding lesson. The restaurant is not set up for large orders so bear that in mind timing wise - it is a one chef kitchen. If you are landing at 7pm or later make sure you request the chef stay if you want dinner on site as they will otherwise leave at 9pm. The chicken & mushroom pasta was good. Breakfast was also good - fruit, pancakes and egg, but only instant coffee. I particularly liked the access to free drinking water refill - there is a cooler in the dining area. The staff were helpful - with the chef staying late for us, helping us call to book some massages down the road at Nuat Thai Spa, helping me get a bowl of rice for lunch when I tried to order when the kitchen was backed up we made a plan B. Location is a bit further down in the quiet end of Manalo St. It isn't far to walk up to the part with restaurants, coffee shops and the spa, but I probably wouldn't have done that walk alone as a female in the dark so I would stay here with a group more than solo. I'm sure it is very safe, but as a general rule of thumb I don't walk alone in the dark down quiet streets. After the liveaboard I stayed in the 'busier' part of Manalo St. Would I stay here again - well if in PP I would probably go to my second hotel as a repeat customer as it was just nicer all around (but also cost double the price). However, Acacia is perfectly adequate for the price point if you are looking for accommodation close to the airport or the boat pier in southern PP at a very reasonable price and it is true to the pictures.

The location isn't the best, restaurants are within walking distance but things to do are not within easy reach. The staff are really friendly, particularly the gentleman on reception who let myself and my friend order food off of his phone. Nice pool, and the rooms are clean and spacious.

Stayed one night only but it was nice, comfy, and homey. Would consider staying there again as I transit thru Puerto Princesa more often now. There’s a nice pool in the central courtyard and many rooms open to the pool area so very convenient to just step out and swim. Breakfast was more than enough for the day really but could be improved.

We booked a room with a double bed. When we showed up they had two singles in the room. We asked if they could change it to a double as that is what we reserved. We were rudely told no and that we should be happy we are even staying there because we bought at cheaper then regular rates. Next we book a tour and are told it will be back at 3pm, it arrived back at 530pm. Then we booked a rental scooter through the hotel for 8am. It didnt show up until 9am with no gas. We were told we have to fill it up and the gas station was close. We got a few km up the road about half way to the gas station and the thing ran out of gas... when we finally got back to the hotel to request our money be refunded they told us they wouldn't unless we brought the bike back! What a joke. Quite possibly the worst hotel experience I've ever encountered. UPDATE: we foolishly decided to allow them to book us a van from the hotel to el nido. Our previous experiences with doing this through hotels have been great however this one showed up 35 mins late which meant we literally got the very last van our of the el nido station. This means you get no pick of anything. This bus was over filled and missing head rest, two days later my neck is still sore..

Staying 2 nights here. So many positive to reports .....layout, great grounds, rooms, restaurant, and background music gives a lovely vibe. Staff friendly and helpful arranging out of hotel transport and events. My only negatives are construction work at back of my room (not major) and very poor wifi in my rooom, although excellent at reception.

I loved everything about this place. The location - away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to walk (I actually did) it. The ambiance - this is what I actually paid for. Very rural. Trees and plants everywhere, a big pool, and Filipino architecture (for the public areas at least). The staff - Princess, Jade, Joan, Richard, and the rest (I cant remember their names), are all great staff members of this hotel! They are very accommodating, cheerful and are not shy to spend time speaking with you and talking about Puerto Princessa, and other things. Always on point! Other hotels staff should learn from these wonderful people! The food - breakfast had a healthy selection. Catered more for westerners, but otherwise it was ok. There is an option for traditional Filipino breakfast though. You can also have lunch and dinner there. The amenities - I travel to places to experience their unique charm. It’s always going to have to be about how locals live there. Somewhat. This was provided! A nice pool, a lounge with high thatched ceilings and beat up pool table (shows how many guests this place has had come through lol). Played many games while I was there. I never expect 5 star or brand new amenities in certain places and hotel brands. And this, totally exceeded my expectations. I’ve already referred this place to the rest of my family, and will definitely return here whenever I visit Puerto Princessa again. (I do have family I can live with while I am there, but like I said, I want the rural experience) Three thumbs up for Acacia Tree Garden Hotel!

Highly Recommended! The Resort Kindly Arranged shuttle service for us at the Puerto Princesa Airport. The place is surrounded by natural greenery and landscape. Rooms are very spacious and clean. The Hotel staff were incredibly helpful and prompt in providing services right to the doorstep of our rooms. We also went for the underground river tour which was arranged by the resort. The tour was very well arranged with a humorous guide who was also very knowledgeable. When my brother got a tummy upset from eating food outside the hotel, the staff kindly arranged for him to be sent to a nearby hospital to be seen by the doctor.

The Good: Free, on time, and friendly airport pickup shuttle. Easy and friendly check in. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Drinking water cooler, hot and cold, available for free refills all day. Always available tricycles available outside. Front desk could also call one in for you. The Bad: Waited in the hot open air lobby for my room to be ready at 2, which is check in time. Had lunch at the restaurant while waiting for my room. Restaurant is also open air and very hot. Restaurant staff seemed confused and unsure. Seafood tower dish took a long time but was good. Paying for lunch was also a long and confusing process. Breakfast was disappointing! Got there at 8:45. Supposed to end at 9:30. There wasn’t much at all. Coffee was cold. Egg station was good but not much more that that. Room is dated. No safe in the room. No hairdryer. One hot water electric kettle but no cups or glasses or anything else. Only 2 bath towels. Many flying insects in the bathroom. They are water-flies. The type that lives in the plumbing. I also read online other guests complained about that. Shower water pressure fluctuates between low and high. Even the shower water temperature changed often during my short showers. Overall, okay for just 1 night. I really wanted to like this hotel, but I couldn’t stay here anymore unfortunately. There are a lot of other options in Puerto Princesa!

Decided to celebrate my son's bday here, and no regrets! The room is spacious and the pool was awesome! Food was ok, but wish they have more options on the menu (especially for the kids). But they loved the waffles for breakfast anyways, so all is well! 😁 Overall, we will recommend and come back for another staycation..soon! 😁
