I stayed here for 2 nights. It was located nearby the beach about 66km from the Puerto Princesa city. I really loves the peaceful time I spent here. The cottage is very big and really comfortable. And the most attractive thing here is the natural swimming facing the Sulu Sea. Awesome! The staffs and the owner really welcoming and super friendly. They really made my stayed comfortable and help me whenever I need an info about Philippines. Wish to come back here and stay longer :)

What was meant to be an enjoyable 4 day resort break on our holiday turned out to be an expensive waste of time.

From the moment we arrived (at 10pm) we were greated with the obligatory "hi - here's your key - bye" formality already annoyed us after travelling on two flights and a whole days journey to reach the 'home away from home resort'. We had no water for the night and no idea where the reception was as none of the paths were lit and the transport they organised just dropped us outside the hut.

The next day was no better when we discovered that the overpriced breakfast was minimal and due to the remote location was the only choice.

Being that this was our first time to the island naturally we wanted to see what was on offer so we inquired about tours available. We waited an hour before they came up with some options for us which detailed us going to town the next day to get the necessary permit to go on the underground river tour and then going on the tour the following day. On top of that we would each have to fork out 1500peso to go + Transport + meals, oh and we had to pay for one of the Resort staff who didnt speak english to accompany us and be our 'guide'. We were both shocked because all we wanted to do was spend a couple of days relaxing on the beach not two days back and forth to town to go on a tour. On average it takes 1.5 hours to town not counting in the fact you have to hitchhike or flag down a sardine crammed bus that only comes past every hour.

Not wanting to waste a day we went strait to town on the bus endeavouring to obtain this mythical permit we needed to personally obtain. When we arrived at the office we spotted a travel agent across the road so headed there first. The staff at the agency quoted us straight away the same price but included the cost of the permit, lunch, guide and transfers. They also informed us that we did not have to make an appearance our resort should have just called and they would have picked us up on the way.

The next evening was the final straw when the powers went out and at 6.30pm and we waited for a torch or some candles to be delivered to us but eventually ended up trying to guide our own way to the reception at 7 with the help of our phones and inquire about dinner. They were almost shocked that we wanted food and almost unwilling to give it to us because there was no power.

We checked out the next day a day earlier than we paid for. They didn't care as long as we settled our bill and nothing was spoken about it.

The whole time we spent here my partner and I felt like a burden and that te resort staff were lazy and ungrateful.

We were the only people staying at the resort and something that could have been very memorable turned out to be an expensive waste of time.
