My husband and I went to Palawan last May, 2010 for two weeks vacation and we stayed at this hotel which is located right in the heart of the city of Puerto Princesa. Everything looks fine and they have complete amenities; cabled tv, broadband internet, hot/cold showers. Although they don't serve breakfast, no problem, because restaurants and coffee houses are walking distance away from the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay in Palawan,(nice beaches, Underground river, El Nido, etc.) We're retired couple from Calif and we are coming back to Palawan on Feb 2011 and we're coming back to this hotel.

I thought the place was just average. I am not familiar with the other places in Puerto Princesa, so I have nothing to compare it to. The rooms were in fact large and we did get hot water for half of the time. Nice cable television and the location was good. The room was dark and dank and looked pretty old and there really wasn't anything special to the place. The beds were kind of uncomfortable. If I were going to Puerto Princesa, I would probably book it again just because I know it is decent place. The guy at the desk was nice and let me use his mobile phone for a fee to call around some places. I thought that was nice of him. Too bad I can't give this 3.5 stars.

This hotel is near to Puerto Princesa night life and its downtown. You can arrive with tricycle from airport and move yourself easily. People and reception girls are polite and friendly but the service is poor. Some rooms are spacious but it depends on the budget.

If you're searching for a best economic price of rooms w/ excellent location near fastfood chains, supermarket and grill restaurants, you should check this hotel first. They got spacious, cozy and comfy rooms. They have cabled TV, plug-in internet broadband connection, nice and comfy queen-sized beds in every room. They also have hot and cold shower which is I really like most. All of their 6 rooms have private bathrooms and aircons so you don't have anything to worry about. They don't offer any breakfast which I see it as an advantage for me to visit some good native place in the nearby area. Adding more rooms to their establishment is something I can suggest.
The staff are also fun to talk with, and they give any information you need to know in the place, w/o any hesitation. Staff services are good enough for me.
Its definitely a big yes to recommend you this hotel if you go to Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. I will always return to this place if I will visit Palawan again. Because Palawan is really a beautiful place to live...

My husband's Cousin stays at this accommodation starting last night and he just went out to buy some stuff he needs outside. He left his things inside the room and gave the key to the front desk. few minutes after going outside his LAPTOP was missing and the front desk and other staff couldn't locate it. It was then concluded that it was stolen.
If he did return the key to the front desk the hotel has full access of the room now the laptop was missing and believed to be stolen yet the hotel staffs has no idea who took it. It was clearly an inside job.
They have very poor security, no guards and not even CCTV cameras to monitor the place. They don't have any vault for guest to deposit valuables that is why he left the laptop in his room. The next morning the incident was reported to the police but then the manager/owner of the hotel is insisting that it is not their responsibility that they are not liable for the said lost. How com they will not be liable? They should be ensuring the security of the guest and all the things inside they're accommodation. This is the worst hotel ever! If you wann loose your stuffs and valuables Come and stay in this hotel!

We were able to do an early check in which was great, as we got to rest before heading for lunch. The room was big. Comfortable beds. It was warm during the day even though there was an AC. But it got cold in the evening and dawn. We had a comfortable sleep overall. Be aware of ants especially when you leave food on the table. The location is great. Just a few steps away from the highway where you can find several restaurants such as Balinsasayaw restaurant, Jollibee, Chowking, and a few coffee shops. We spent most of our days outside so we really couldn't know how much noise there was during the day. The place is safe and the people are nice. We had free breakfast included in our booking and we were able to decide what time it would be sent to our room.

Royal Crown Inn was a decent place to stay for one night, however there are better options nearby. The room was small but clean. The beds were uncomfortable and the A/C was pretty loud, although it did work well to cool off the room. The bathroom was very small and there wasn't even a shower head. The water came straight out of a pipe in the wall! It's possible the room was unfinished as we got the only available 4 person room on the top floor. One perk was the clean drinking water for the guests. Also, the location was nice. Just off the main street with tons of restaurants nearby. Overall a viable option if you are in a pinch, but there are better places for cheaper if you look around a bit.

First of all, we were really tired from our El Nido trip. We just wanted a good place to sleep and rest. And as we arrived at our room, their comfort room was so smelly! The Internet connection was very slow. Even the TV signal was also worse. But the worst part of all is their attitude towards us (Bad Customer Service). First we were not notified that we had to evacuate the room the following day. We were only informed 4 hours prior to evacuation. Second, we were not informed properly about the billings though we are very much willing to pay. Everything has been really inconvenient for us, because we were supposed to have our city tour that day. They even won't allow us to talk to their Manager for reporting what happened. We really felt mistreated that day.

We stay here every time we go back to Puerto Princesa. It is in the city so it is just walking distance away from restaurants and Rizal Avenue where we could get tricycles to take us everywhere. Friendly and courteous staff. The downside is, they do not have a generator, and when the city's power went down, we were not able to sleep at all.

We've been travelling with some friends to all Coron and Palawan during 2 weeks, and this is by far the worst hotel we stayed. The price is average, not higher nor lower than others, but the service is very poor. The wifi was not working during the 3 days we stayed there, even if they announce they have. Instead of solving it, they were laughing to us saying it is no big deal. They charged all the tea and water, while in all the other hostels were free. The room was really small and a quite smelly. Even with all these problems, they didn’t move a single finger to help us. Finally, even if the location is good, the neighbors have plenty of dogs that barks 24/7, making it quite hard to sleep, even with the windows closed. It is the first time that I go to a hostel, some problem happens, and they don’t try to solve it. I frankly don’t recommend it at all.

"Light sleepers may prefer a room to the back of the building as there is a karaoke joint over the lane at the front. It's not very loud and stops at 1am at weekends - a simple pair of foam earplugs were enough to shut the sound out until then."
