Never miss this place when you visit Puerto Princesa! Great for backpackers and family. Comfort, accessibility, price - all ticked the box! Comfort - as you can just chill after a busy day roaming or from tour. Accessibility - located just behind the airport and amenities is just one ride away from town, shops are just walking distance if you need to buy something. When it comes to price - a great bargain!

All the staff are kind and considerate to our every need. Kitchen is up 24/7 so if you are working all night, there is somebody who can make you coffee or cook you some food. Internet is surprisingly fast as well although you have to go out from the room as it goes slower but what is there to complain when you have a nice pool to dip in! :)

This place made my trip relaxing and I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family. I will definitely book again when I come back to Palawan! xxx

I stayed in Alesseo for a few days on my first stop in Puerto P and I really enjoyed it. The hostel is really nice and the pool is amazing, not to mention the convenience of the location. Since I had enjoyed my stay there the first time I decided to go back again on my last day before my flight back home. Unfortunately the day after I encountered some issues with my ticket at the airport and was feeling helpless so decided to go back to the hostel and see if they could help me out. The people there were exceptional and went out of their way to help me, I felt blessed.
My experience there was great from the first day until the last.

If you fly or depart from Puerto Princessa don't think too much and stay here. Very affordable and comfortable hostel. 50 meters long pool, restaurant, travel agency and super friendly service. I stayed for 4 nights and I will comeback again. Clean beds, hot showers, WiFi, restaurant in a very quiet street. Free pool, many stores and restaurants around. Very safety with lockers and the most important. Cris and Alex and their 3 kids make you feel at home. And all the staff is always with good attitude.
I love this place...

Booked the 10 bed dorm with the AirCon picture on HostelWorld because it was cheaper than the 8 bed dorm. I thought it was cheaper bc of the beds. I arrived and was put into a sauna of a room with 8 beds and 5 fans. There was an AC but they wouldn't turn it on. They also refused to answer why they left it there, when it could simply be removed to create a breeze. Before I could finish, the manager had is nose in the air smirking and shaking his head no. He's obviously new to managing bc this is the first time in traveling the world over a year and a half that I've ever seen someone in charge not listen to their guests, and I've been working in hostels for 8 months, and traveling for a year and a half. They're lying to guests with photos of AC and changing the # of beds to make you think that's why you're paying less.
The pool has a thin layer of nasty film on top.
Loud construction starts promptly at 8 am, so don't plan on sleeping late.
The Internet speed is the slowest I've come across.
I've stayed in way worse places than this, but at least they were honest about their advertising, and open to constructive criticism.

This place is very good , the guys and girls running it are super friendly and helpful. I didn't catch the chefs name but he's really friendly and more than happy to make you breakfast or some pizza in the evening. I would just suggest making the pizza bases a bit thicker though ;). For the price you get a chilled ambience and a great swimming pool and although the location is very far from the town Center . There are tricycles everywhere happy to take you to town and back but quite a few havent heard the name of the hostel . It is new ,so note down the address . Price around 50 pesos each way. there is a Vietnamese restaurant just round the corner if you fancy something else. Wifi is a bit sporadic and some days worked fine and others not at all. But it works outside reasonably well. They can also arrange your bus transfers to el nido too if you're looking for that. The only thing I disliked about this hostel was the fact there are no room keys for your door , anyone can walk in and there are no lockers either. You can lock the door from the inside but everyone needs a key atleast or they'll be locked out. Security is a bit of a worry there in that aspect . But for sure from what I've heard from other travellers and from accomadation I've seen in Puerto. This is by far the best place you can stay. Just sort some keys out and it's 10/10

Dollar for dollar, I think this is the best value in Puerto Princesa.

I’m saying this because it is clean, the rooms are big, the bathrooms are clean and it’s simply a very relaxed atmosphere. Sure, for the same money you can find a private room or you can find a hostel bed for 220 PHP downtown.

But you’ll compromise. As I’m writing this I’m in a room that had cost me the same as with Alesseo. It smells ugly, there is no blanket, there is no air con and honestly, it’s very uncomfortable here.

On the other hand, whatever I needed at Alesseo, they’ve accommodated me. It’s also a very joyful place, people are friendly and it feels like a social hostel. I’ve made more friends in Alesseo than I’ve made in Z Hostel in Makati.

There are small quirks and annoying things (as that you’re about 2 km from downtown and it’s hard to find food around) but you can get there for a 10 PHP ride during the day, if you share the ride. While it’s not perfect, I don’t think you can find better. Keep in mind that most places in Puerto Princesa don’t even have hot water and cost just as much.

So yes, a best buy for this city.

Rooms are very much clean and tidy. :)
I am also happy that they have swimming pool though they are only offering backpackers setup.
Place is very serene and you can hear birds chirping and some plane landing and taking off. The location is very peaceful and just near to the best restaurants in town.

The most amazing thing is that staffs are really polite, kind, accommodating and respectful. :)

We're not suppose to go to PPS but we got stranded in El Nido and can't go to Coron that's why we had to book an alternative flight going back to MNL.
We found out abt Alesseo thru their receptionist in El Nido, who's so nice btw.
Alesseo is very new, very fresh from the oven. Everyone is nice from the staff to the owner. They have clean, neat and cold rooms. Their comfort room is nice too, they have bidet. Their pool is big and has an ambiance at night. For the per night/pax rate it's not too bad considering breakfast is included. We will definitely choose their hostel again given the chance to be back to PPS. Pics uploaded for your reference! ;) Choose them and you'll not regret! ;)
