Near Puerto Princesa there are no such quiet and nice places facing the beach. The resort is dated, it must be admitted, the services are basic, the rooms are simple but in line with the price paid (it is always better to contact the hotel directly to get discounts) What I have always appreciated is that you live on the beach front in absolute tranquility for those who want to stay for a few days; an absolutely danger-free beach, with very shallow, warm, transparent water. The place is always ventilated, so no annoying heat and no mosquitoes! the resort is practically deserted during the day, excellent for those who want to relax. I recommend car or motorbike rental for convenient travel to shopping centers or cities. There is a small restaurant / bar excellent for daytime and lunch; for dinner it is better to go to the city Buffet breakfast in the roomers price unfortunately limited. the resort is a few minutes drive from Honda Bay

For a beachfront hotel, it’s nice but definitely needs updating. We upgraded to a suite with beachfront view. The view was beautiful and calming. The room itself was a good size with a full size bed and a little divider wall separating the room from the futon. There was a microwave and mini fridge. We had a bathtub which was helpful for our small kids. All in all the room was fine but nothing spectacular, it served the purpose of sleep. The view though was amazing. Breakfast was ok nothing fancy but it did the job of feeding us. The pool was nice and big, not deep I think it was only 3 and 4 feet. The staff were kind and accommodating. They spoke English well. The property is about a 15 min tricycle ride to town and they had a driver waiting. You can also take a car, the front desk will give you a list of numbers you can call. Take advantage of the tables and chairs facing the beach- it was lovely just sitting and admiring the view.
I’d recommend this hotel if you’re looking for simple beachfront accommodations but don’t expect five star.

Tried Microtel in Pampanga and got so overwhelmed. So when my clients from abroad decided to visit and have a meeting in Palawan, I decided to book them in Microtel in Puerta Princesa. I was hoping for the same level of quality service and got no disappointment. My clients loved their stay. They enjoyed the beach scenery and loved the staffs as well. Room is well-cleaned that they almost felt living permanently in their room. Thank you so much Microtel Palawan!

All the hotel staff we dealt with were incredible however, the restaurant on site (who is contracted to a separate company) was a nightmare. The breakfast hours were 6am to 10am, and if you weren't there to eat prior 7am, you had only scraps to eat. They were slow to replenish and did not pay attention to detail. The hotel is isolated (20 mins drive to town), so eating meals daily became a major issue. My partner has a shellfish allergy, and after taking all the precautions to inform them and ensure he won't have an incident, they still served him rice with shrimp. This was unacceptable and made us lose all confidence in their abilities. The hotel is quiet and on the water, so if you're looking for peace and quiet, this place is for you. However, if you're interested in activities and keeping busy, you'll be disappointed because there is nothing to occupy your time with. Simple activities would have made the stay more enjoyable.

This motel is not by Wyndham. Location is waterfront, but far from everything else. No shuttle to city, and far from tricycle path. No Grab on Palawan. There are sand fleas in the flats next to the hotel. It is not a beach. Restaurant is not good, and service is extremely slow. There is no elevator. One good thing is that they provide pitchers to refill water from a water cooler instead of using water bottles. Would not recommend this place. The pictures are nicer than reality.

Dear Joanne, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet your expectations, and we appreciate your comments as they help us improve. I understand that our location by the waterfront can feel far from attractions, but this is part of our feature as a resort hotel in the city. We have available transportation options for our guests. We apologize for the presence of sand fleas. There are certain areas on our property where we advise guests to avoid, as part of our efforts to manage the local environment. While our location’s biodiversity can sometimes contribute to this, please rest assured that we are actively working to improve the cleanliness of these areas. We also regret that the restaurant service and food didn’t meet your expectations. We are reviewing our processes to make service faster and improve the quality of meals. We're glad you appreciated our efforts to reduce plastic waste with water pitchers, and we remain committed to sustainability. Thank you again for your honest feedback. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future as we work to improve. Sincerely, Ronel Rivera

The pandemic really affected this business... You can tell by the way some facilities, furnishings and finishings need work but were not addressed. One of the rooms we booked had a toilet that was not flushing well and a vent that wasnt working, as well as a door lock that was faulty. We appreciate that they asked if we wanted to change rooms but we didnt want to lose the adjoining rooms - and the beautiful beach view and direct access to the beach were also compelling reasons to stay. The rooms were otherwise clean and comfortable, with cable TV and mini fridges. The restaurant opens early, which is good for those with morning tours. The food is average and expensive (well, resort prices). It may be better to book a cab go eat elsewere for lunch and dinner. What can be guaranteed is excellent brewed coffee, which we ordered many times during our stay. That being said the staff are friendly and very accommodating - from the security guard to the restaurant personnel, all were very pleasant.

We recently stayed at Microtel Puerto Princesa and had a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our check-in and check-out processes smooth. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. We especially enjoyed the view, pool, and breakfast.
While the location is convenient, it might be a bit far from some attractions. However, the hotel offers transportation services that can help you get around. Overall, we would recommend Microtel Puerto Princesa for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Puerto Princesa. 👍❤️

We stayed at Microtel Palawan last December 26-29 with my family. The place was really great. Although the road going to the hotel is not that pleasing, you will be surprised how lovely the place is once you arrive at the hotel. The view from our room is just amazing! Do not miss the beautiful sunrise. It is worth waking up early in the morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked all our tours through the hotel. Jocelyn the reservations agent was really helpful in arranging the tours for us. I had to book an extra tour and the front desk agent was so kind to arrange it for us. The free shuttle was a great plus and having a restaurant on site was super helpful (just a bit pricey). Me and my mom played the ”sungka”, it brought me back to my childhood memories. We had an early morning walk during the low tide and found some star fish (one is special). We tried to save them by moving them in to the water. It feels really great😊. The place is worth coming back again in the future.

Once in a while, I walk out to the beach during low tide, take in all the natural beauty around me and observe people as they go walking around the beach, breathing the fresh air and appreciating the various flora and fauna abundant in these parts. Sometimes, I would see people pick up something from the sand -- a starfish, perhaps a hermit crab -- observe it a bit and later put it back. Not a lot of people, though, would take the time to bring them further out into the water to save them. Thank you very much for caring for these creatures and the environment. We are honored to have people like you and your mother as our guests here in Microtel by Wyndham Puerto Princesa and we look forward to welcoming you again on your next visit.

The minute you step in you will be greeted by Antonio, the Security guard. A smiling face right away. Then the check in process by Iris is professional and accurate letting us know about the airport shuttle and the Robinson's Mall hours of service. Another smiling face. We went to the restaurant and was greeted by the wait staff. Food was good and the ambience overlooking the pool and the beach was awesome. Had a dip in the pool and was refreshing Made friends with a cute 6 year old Dutch boy named Jessie who did not want me to leave the pool. The hotel is well managed by the GM, Rene , whom I had a lengthy conversation before we left for the airport He had trained his staff well. Everyone was working and constantly cleaning. I slept like a baby and was woken up with the birds chirping and singing. That is what you call a vacation. Thank you for the hospitality. We will definitely be back to this hotel. The Microtel in Palawan is a lot cleaner and nicer than the Microtels in the US.

Hi! We can pick up guests at the airport whenever their flight arrives. We just need to get the flight number to account for delayed or cancelled flights. Alternately, we also have a regular shuttle service to and from the Robinsons Mall in the City. Pick-up times are at 11:30AM, 12:30PM, 1:30PM, 5:30PM, 6:30PM, 7:30PM, 8:30PM and 9:30PM.
I suggest giving the Front Desk a call through mobile number (63 917) 549-7363 or local landline (048) 723-0977 at least an hour beforehand so they can make the necessary arrangements. You may also email our Front Desk through puertoprincesa.rsvns@microtel.ph.
Buffet breakfast starts at 6AM. For an 8:30AM departure, I suggest being at the airport by 7:30AM at the latest. This would mean that you would have to leave the hotel by 6:30AM to be safe. The Front Desk would be happy to arrange a shuttle to the airport for you.
Thanks and enjoy your stay!

There is plenty of great diving that can be had nearby and the hotel will be glad to make the necessary arrangements for you. Internet access can be spotty at times but the local telcos assure us that they are working on the problem. They are likewise currently upgrading their system.
