I found this place online and it suited our needs for a couple of nights in Puerto Princesa. It was very reasonably priced for a beachfront location and the pool access room was an added attraction.
Let me start with the positives. The grounds of the hotel grounds were well kept, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the pool area was nice, the rooms are spacious (if not a little tired) and the cocktails served at the beachside restaurant were delicious. The complimentary airport transfers were a welcome and unexpected bonus.
Now for the negatives. The hotel itself lacked atmosphere… There were hardly any other guests around and it was eerily quiet. It makes me wonder if there is an underlying reason why.
The pool and its access was very slippery with shiny tiles layed on the pool floor and entry stairs. There was no outdoor furniture on the balcony and nowhere to hang wet clothes and towels.
The beachfront area, whilst well maintained looks out onto a tidal unappealing beach. No swimming or lazing here.
We ate only once at beachside restaurant and I found the food average at best. Whilst we’re on the subject of food, the included breakfast was one of the worst I’ve encountered in my travels. Very little options for westerners. Not even sliced bread to toast. I’m sure it’s fine for those who enjoy an Asian breakfast which we don’t.
Would I stay there again? Probably not, but for the price we paid it was extremely good value and I would encourage others to give it a go.

The resort location not near the crowded area of Puerto Princesa.. bonus - its shoreline affords a good view of the Palawan sea…
Checking in is a breeze. The front desk is efficient and friendly.
The lobby is not spectacular but utilitarian, clean, spacious, and not swarming with guests.
My room is spacious; the bed and linen is standard ; the pillows are to my liking…. Very clean, spartan, and utilitarian… the shower is very good except that the shampoo and soap containers are untidy looking…
I wish it was provided: slippers and

We arrived at 7h30 in the morning, and registered as well as dropped off our bags (which no one helped us with). We then asked the receptionist to call a taxi for us to go to the underground caves, and she called some tour agency who tried to overcharge us.
I then asked again being very specific we wanted a taxi and not a tour, but again the receptionist called some overpriced agency. We were then told by the manager on duty that we had to go to the airport to get a taxi, and that the hotel shuttle was not available but we could get tuktuks. The receptionist called 1 tuktuk for 4 people.... While we waited for her to call a second one, the hotel shuttle showed up. So clearly the manager had lied to us.
We finally found a taxi and are on our way, with no help from your staff. This has by far been the worst service I have experienced in the Philippines which is renowned for being customer orientated.
Rooms are ok although the water heater switches on/off randomly (in both rooms we had); restaurant staff are friendly although the breakfast is unimpressive. Beach isn't that nice (none really are city side) and although the reception team when I checked out were better than the first day I'm pretty sure there's far better value & service to be found in the area.

The building is still relatively new. The air conditioning in the room smelled strong. The restaurant was a disappointment. The large salad plate did not consist of the ingredients indicated on the menu, but primarily of green. The lapu-lapu fish had only little meat and the waiter liked to ask many questions in poor English. The breakfast coffee was rather brown water. An Expresso must be paid. To do so, a complicated form must then be completed. One signature is not enough for the waiter. You also have to add your name in block letters. Sorry, but I definitely don't need that on holiday! On departure, no licensed taxi was called, as I requested, but a private driver who charged PHP 800 for a ride to the airport. That was more than double the usual amount.

The pool was closed for maintenance upon arrival so our pool access room was pointless. The pool had been closed for 3 days but no prior warning given.
Unfortunately we arrived around 6pm so thought we would have to stay anyway for one night. We cancelled our second night.
The hotel wall at the back of the hotel over looks a sea of mud so flies are everywhere. Unfortunately this is close to the breakfast buffet too so everything you eat has been swarmed in the flying pests. The food is poor quality and poorly presented.
You have to beg for a second room key to power the electrics in the room.
The smart TV doesn't work initially until you ask reception but you are left to work this out for yourself.
Location is in the middle of nowhere.
Save your self the hassle and stay in the much nicer hotel next door.
The hotel did refund the second night we cancelled but refused to refund anything for the 1st night because we slept in the room and attended breakfast. Agoda were not helpful and claimed to only be able to refund around ÂŁ15 of the ÂŁ70 room. Terrible first day in the worst hotel on palawan.

Resort has sound infrastructure with good swimming pools on site. That’s where it ends. The beach is there also but don’t blink it appears between tides for a short time. The tides mean that the beach either becomes mud flats which stretch out for at least a km or the sea laps at the resort wall. The room itself is fine but for the shower where the water flow is non-existent. The tv, even though no intention of watching, appears to have no antenna and picture very grainy. The breakfast is very ordinary to put it mildly. There isn’t even toast and very few selections although the omelette is good. The pool hours are unknown but tried going for morning swim several times only to find it closed even after 9 am. I unfortunately lost my keycard which normally would not be a problem however when I asked for a replacement, only 1 was issued, was marched to my room like a criminal the person then was going to go and again I asked for new card, this time was informed would cost me 500, they are worth about 25 cents, so he disappeared left me with know power before coming back 10 minutes later with one. Later that night received a phone advised of the 500 debt I had. The way all this was done was the most annoying thing not the 500. Only ate there the once and the meal was dry and bland. Was determined not to dine there again after keycard so went next door to happy lion which provided much better meals. Dogs barking next door were also annoying when trying to relax but can’t blame resort for this.

Excellent place for staycation with family and loved ones if you want a place where you can relax and breathe sea breeze with nice ambience. Has friendly, approachable and professional hotel staffs, rooms are opened using a key card - spacious with minimalist designs, beds and comforters are nice, with free water bottles, water heater and coffee. Also comes with clean toilet with free toiletries (towel, toothbrush & toothpaste, comb, razor, soap, shower cap & vanity kit [cotton buds] also includes free rubber slippers for all around and comfy use) as well as hair dryer/blower attached at the side of bathroom mirror, the room also has a vault safety box, flatscreen TV and mini refrigerator. The buildings have elegant structures. They also have really great swimming pool area! We got a room that is pool access and it made our stay more wonderful. Foods are delicious. Great buffet set up. Sunset can be watched at the rooftop of the gazebo near the seashore. You can borrow and ride a bicycle inside the hotel premises and do kayaking if the sea is high tide. Very nice and instagrammable place! Will definitely come back here for sure.

We stayed 3 nights at Costa Palawan last November. Front desk Earleen and Luggage Assistant Rolando are very helpful during both check in and check out. Room is spacious, bed is comfortable. Daily Breakfast by the beach front and options are great, they have varying items each morning. Great sunrise view! Service at the Restaurant is amazing, James and other staff are attentive. They also have consistent tricycle drivers that are stand by outside the resort, we were served by Jojo and he was very helpful and honest!

First time visit. Booked 3 rooms on a popular booking website. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and clean. Our reservation included breakfast but once we checked in, since we got our reservation on a discount online, the management charged us for breakfast. Otherwise, the place is modern and good to stay in.

We were sent to this hotel because the one we booked flooded - the staff were fantastic, the room & breakfast were great - the Valentines Day celebration at night was unexpected but great fun. Our room opened up to the pool where we swam every day & it wasn't too crowded. Would definitely recommend staying here
