My friend and I were making a stop to see the Underground River near Puerto Princesca and spent two nights at El Taraw. It is a beautiful, hidden gem bed & breakfast run by a very accommodating and friendly family who went out of their way to make my friend and I feel at home. The patio outside our room was a little piece of heaven with beautiful views, sunsets and evening breezes. The breakfast was wonderful and came with the best coffee I had had since I reached the Philippines. I cannot recommend this wonderful respit enough for those who want a homey atmosphere and a taste for the region and the wonderful people who live there.

We had the delight in staying at the El Taraw on our recent trip to Puerto Princesa. We were made to feel very welcomed by Chirs and Tess. Chis provided the transfer from the Airport and we were welcomed with a delicious drink. Chris helped us to organise the firefly tour in the evening which we really enjoyed. In the mornings we enjoyed a delicious freshly cooked breakfast and coffee on the balcony. Chis and his family are so welcoming and truly cater for all their guest's needs. We highly recommend staying at the El Taraw.

This is a really great place to stay, the host and his family are great and welcoming. We got a welcome drink and said hello to the wife and kids. They also operate a booking agency so they can set you up with many nice trips on your vacation in Palawan. Big room and bathroom, clean and breakfast on terrace. A bit far from the city, which means that you need to take trike to eat out, but not a problem. Breakfast was okay.

My first time at a bed and breakfast and the whole experience was absolutely wonderful.
I arrived in the early hours of the morning and I was welcomed, shown the lovely facilities, and directed to a beautiful outdoor deck with relaxing sounds (beautiful ambience), while my host prepared a tray for me with ice and glasses so I could unwind and have a gNt. The following evening it was raining and I had planned to head to the local mall. My host went above and beyond by driving me down and chatting away about the local facilities. WOW. I also discussed with him my frustrating experiences about a tour I was on to which he replied "he organises tours in the Philippines. What a gem and great resource for booking locally any tours etc.
I can go on and on about my great experience at this lovely BnB, the cleanliness, beautiful home, and amazing customer service. AAA++++ highly recommended.

Had a great stay. Chris & Thes were so lovely and welcoming. They go above and beyond to assist and will look after you. I was a bit ill on arrival and Chris took care of me. It’s just the little things that mean the most. Hope to be back again for another visit one day! Thanks for a great stay :)

We stayed for two nights in El Taraw and we absolutely loved it. Kuya Chris is an excellent host. We felt right at home. He gave us recommendations on activities and restaurants and we had a blast. My favorite is having breakfast in the morning on their balcony. I highly recommend El Taraw for authentic Filipino hospitality and accommodations. Thank you Kuya Chris!

Palawan was our first destination in Phillipines and even though we arrived later than originally planned due to cancelled flights we totally enjoyed our stay at El Taraw with Chris and his family. He was super helpful during our troubles on the way there, helped us to find another domestic flight and managed to reschedule our Underground river tour so we were picked up directly at the airport and did not miss this already booked tour for earlier date. His place is a paradise in Puerto Princesa where you can chillout in hammocks and with its perfect location it offers great starting point for trips around the island. Rooms are clean and comfy with air condition and service is just great so you feel like being part of the family. In the property they have small bar with drinks. Close by (5 mins with tricycle) there is very nice restaurant called Ka Inato where you can get delicious food for reasonable prices and support deaf people who work there. Continental breakfast served on terrace with beautiful views is included in the price and owner can also take you to/from the airport. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. Thank you!

We confirmed our booking with Sir Chris just 2 days before our flight, yet he was still able to plan a very organized trip for us. He made us an itinerary that perfectly fit our tight schedule, letting us enjoy everything Puerto Princesa has to offer. Both the room and bathroom were always very clean and spacious. We also always looked forward to the delicious breakfast they served each day. We'll be back for our El Nido and Coron trip! :)
