I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It has a great location, close to the main strip but far enough away from the heart of the town that it still remained quiet. The building is pretty with lovely gardens, the staff are very kind and helpful and I was very grateful to all the advice and assistance provided by the hotel manger. Would definitely recommend.
It's a good and quiet place for the 💰. It was clear and they have fast internet and drinking water. It's located just around the corner on Roxas Street at the intersection with Rizal Avenue. And the most importantly: the personal was amazing kind and helpful. They even offered me free transport with air conditioning to the airport. So, I'm very satisfied and of course I recommend it. Have a good trip everyone
I stayed here last week with my mum and we had a room for two with a single bed and a double bed. It was pretty comfortable and ac worked well. Most importantly there was hot water! Breakfast was included and free tea coffee and water available. The lady at front desk, maybe she was the main receptionist or manager, she was very helpful with lots of info on the local tours and local area. They can arrange the tours to see the fireflys And to visit Honda bay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we found this because we stayed at their sister hotel in elnido. Tips - if you visit Honda bay you can do it yourself, the Jeepney is just on the main road one minute from this hotel, it costs 27 peso to the Honda bay Santa Lourdes but takes Neely an HR. We then rented a boat ourself there at the port. It was cheaper than the tours but required a little effort to get to! Fireflys you can also visit yourself, take tricycle to iwahig river cost 700peso return and book boat yourself for 900peso for up to three people so this was much cheaper. The hotel works with a reputable travrl company so you will still have a good time should you choose those, we did their tours in El nido. Nearby to the hotel you will find on Rizal street mister donut, about five to ten mins away is McDonald's, jolibee which we didn't visit but good to know they're nearby options chowking is also there and is a good budget fast food chain that does excellent Chinese food, we went several times while staying at Lola itang.…
I had already stayed here 3 years ago, at the beginning as well as at the end of my visit to Palawan. Meggie, the manager (who also runs Lolo Oyong pension in El Nido), and her parents (the owners) are extremely kind people, of a rare hospitality. Individual guests get a real VIP treatment. Personally, I was invited to celebrate Christmas eve with the family... free of charge! They prepared a buffet with local specialties and I was even given a Christmas present! :o) Receptionists Leo and Delma are very sweet, polite, discrete and helpful: they do anything possible to make you feel comfortable and assure you a pleasant stay. They are really perfect for the job. Quiet, spacious and clean rooms in a central location with good A/C, flatscreen satellite TV and fast wifi. Good breakfast and free tea and instant coffee all day long. Good restaurant with inexpensive and tasty food nextdoor (part of the hotel). I was offered a free transfer to the airport, but I refused that because I found this really taking too much advantage of their hospitality. I can not recommend this friendly place enough and if I decide to go back to Palawan, I'll stay there again.…
It’s a good place for the price. The AC works. It’s clean. You get breakfast, although its limited in choice. The staff is sweet. It’s the first place I was inclined to tip the entire staff. It was good enough that I am staying in their hotel in El Nido as well. I’m glad they told me about their El Nido hotel!
Lola Itang's Pension House and Restaurant is close to 3 of Puerto Princesa's tourist spots - Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Plaza Cuartel and Baywalk. It's also a few minutes away from the city center where you can find fast food restaurants, banks and malls. And just like their other property in El Nido the Lolo Oyong Pension House and Restuarant, they also serve a super heavy and delicious breakfast! We tried Palawan's famous Lamayo (dried fish) along with other usual breakfast meals.
We stayed two nights at Lola Itang's, well one of those nights we arrived at 12:30 am from El Nido. That was our first night, and despite the odd hour check-in was easy and the staffs on duty were very accommodating and helpful. The room was decent size for two single beds, clean and there was hot shower. We enjoyed our breakfast the first day, the 2nd day since our flight back was early they packed a tasty egg sandwich and a bottle of water for each of us. The dinner we had at their resto was also good, the portion were quite big. It is also conveniently located, just a few street from the Cathedral and less than 15 minutes by trike to the airport. Sulit sa bayad. Really good value for money.
Great service, food and crew! Homey vibe and the place is so clean! Didn't expect that they also provide disposable slippers lol. They would fetch you to the airport for free, help carry your stuff.. no hot and cold shower but that's okay, i don't mind that. It's just a 10 out of 10 rating! Excellent place
Booking this pension house was easy. It was done through bank down payment. They had a free airport to hotel transfer which we availed. The staffs were very accommodating and nice. Kudos to Mr. Leo. It has a relaxing homey provincial ambiance, and I love the garden! They provide free coffee in the dining area 24/7 (i love the ceiling in the dining area). I booked for an air-condition room with hot/cold shower. The room was well-lit, spacious enough, with a lot of space for our luggage. The bed was clean and comfy. The cable TV was old but it doesn't matter. We even had a balcony with nice chandelier, table and chairs outside our room (actually most of the rooms has balcony). Wi-fi was fast! The breakfast was really great and worth your money! While waiting for a few minutes for your breakfast, they would serve you local bread first. The breakfast includes, a cup of rice, choice of viand, egg, with slices of cucumber and tomatoes on the side. They also served us 2 kinds of fruits for dessert. Drinks includes unlimited coffee and juice. That really made my tummy full! They also had a good restaurant, but we were not able to try it (hopefully next time). They would clean the room per request. The staff who cleaned our room was too honest! He (i forgot his name) did not accept the tip I left on the bed on the first morning. So, on the second morning, I left a note on the bed telling that the money was for him. I actually doubled the amount of money I left on the bed. However, when I went back to the room after our tour, the money and the note was still on my bed! So I just went to the reception area to tell Leo to give the money to whoever cleaned my room. Right after, I saw Leo giving the money to the cleaner. The cleaner approached me shyly and thanked me for the tip. (Actually I heard that Palaweños are really honest). We really enjoyed our stay and hoping that we can come back soon!…
Yeah, I got no picture of their Crispy Pata... Because i don't want to waste any moment just to taste and eat it! You'll forget to take its picture because all you'll feel the moment you see their Crispy Pata is HUNGER.
