The art of laid back luxury indeed! One of the most efficient services I've ever had. Kudos to the Cauayan team! From picking up to the airport straight our villas they made it so smooth. Didnt even have to wait at the lobby. A very romantic place to go as well. Good job to Alwin who made it easy for my fiance to sort the dinner proposal. All the crews are friendly and very helpful. Worth every penny 😍🏝 Plus their wifi is good too, no need to go to the reception if you want something, just one msg in whatsapp and they are ready to serve. Good villas too. Hotel and its staff were amazing. Rooms were comfortable and cozy. The hotel location will definitely give you a peaceful and relaxing ambiance. Food and beverage selection were also dynamic and well- prepared. The over experience was highly recommended.

My family and I decided to visit El Nido this year and since my dad was coming with us, we decided to splurge a bit. I found this resort online through google and honestly didn’t really know what to expect other than the beautiful view. My dad isn’t one to be easily impressed but I would say it is safe to say that they surpassed any and every expectations that we had going in. Since this is my first time writing a review, please bear with me. STAFF - The staff at the resort are absolutely incredible. There’s about 200 staff members on the island and yet it doesn’t feel crowded. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They are willing to go above and beyond just to make your stay there enjoyable. Unfortunately I cannot remember all the names but here are just a few that stood out to us and made this place feel like a home away from home away from home! You can tell they love their jobs and just love being there. It’s hard to find good staff and honestly it really goes a long way seeing the staff enjoy what they do. Lala - was very helpful when checking in, we arrived at the island around 8 am and decided to have breakfast since check in is usually around 2pm. After breakfast they came to us and said that we can check in at 11am since they had cleaned our room so we could settle down early. (No charge for early check in) Danika - She greeted us every morning with a smile and always made sure that we were taken care of during breakfast/lunch/dinner. If there was anything we needed, she would be the one to make sure we had it. Red - I’m not sure if he is a bartender or just a server but when we did not feel like eating at the restaurant, he helped us bring our food to our villa. He was very helpful and of course always provided great service with a smile. There were two more bartenders that stood out but I can not remember their names for the life of me which I feel bad for because they deserve some credit in making our stay so pleasurable. I was having trouble finding what to eat so I asked the bartenders what they would prefer. The suggestions they would give me during my stay were amazing and I was never disappointed. If anything I was more impressed and happy because it was good food (gotta try the Pad Thai east spice)! Every night I would go to the bar and smoke a cigar and they would always make sure I had everything I needed to enjoy a relaxing night there! Overall, the staff there made this vacation a weekend to remember and something that I will always cherish. I hope to see them next year when I visit again. Now onto the rooms. I’ll make this short and sweet because honestly I don’t think there is much to say (in a good way). Beach front villa - entering the room, I was blown away. High ceilings, a bathtub/shower, Nescafé coffee machine, and a tv that pops up! Although we never had the chance to use the tv since we were just so busy enjoying what the island had to offer, the room itself was very comfortable. If I had anything bad to say (and this is just me nitpicking); I would say that the room needed one more dimmed light. But that’s it! Everything in the room was perfect! Even the huge sofa that is outside of your room was so comfortable that you can easily take a nap on it! Food - now I’m gonna have to be strict here and that’s only because I’m a chef. The verity of the breakfast buffet isn’t as big as to what I’m used to but the food itself was good! They do tell you that breakfast starts at 6am but I can tell that they do need a little more time in setting up. My family and I wake up early and usually have an early breakfast so when we went around 6am-6:30am to find that the omelette station and the waffle station wasn’t set up yet until after we had finished our breakfast was a little disappointing (but again I’m just nitpicking because who wakes up at 6am on vacation haha ) If you want the full breakfast experience , I think 7:30 is a great time to visit the buffet! Dinner was Always enjoyable though and the wait times were quick! Tours - my family and I decided to do the half day speed boat tour and let me tell you something. If you are one to get that “instagram worthy” shot in the big lagoon with no one else in it but you. This is the place to be. (Be sure to get the morning tour) our tour started at 8am and by 8:20 we arrived at the big lagoon with no one else in sight. The tour guide (whose name I forgot but should be credited since he gave us an amazing tour) was so helpful. Took lots of pictures of us, stayed behind with my dad so he could fly his drone, and even helped my mom and aunty with the snorkeling by dragging them with a floaty since they were scared of swimming. (The tour guide really tries to get everyone included and find ways to make everyone comfortable). As we were leaving the big lagoon (mind you when we arrived there was just the 4 of us) you could see 10-15 boats arriving and almost 100-200 people getting into their kayaks. My dad was so glad that we got to experience the lagoon with just us! We also got visit an extra island since it was on the way and luckily they just drove the speed boat into the secret lagoon so we wouldn’t have to paddle since we were all getting tired from an eventful tour! Location - the island allows you to feel secluded but not isolated. It’s an absolutely beautiful place. For the price you pay, everything is worth it. Sure there are island prices but you know what. At the end of the day, I found myself not thinking about the price. I was satisfied with the cost and I think everything was worth it. Thank you Cauayan resort for your hospitality. Overall, my experience at Cauayan was positive, as the property offered a comfortable stay and decent amenities. However, there were a few areas that could be improved to enhance guests' experience further. First and foremost, the staff at Cauayan were friendly and accommodating. They greeted us with a warm welcome and were always available to assist with our needs. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff provided helpful information about the resort facilities and nearby attractions. The rooms at Cauayan were clean but not really maintained. The bedding was comfortable, and the ambiance was pleasant. I like the speaker in the room which provides us with a lot of fun. However, I did notice a few maintenance issues in the bathroom, like a broken toilet lid and the lounger mat not well-cleaned, which could be addressed to avoid any inconvenience for future guests. I enjoyed the food served at Cauayan, and although I wasn't expecting too much before I arrived, the variety and abundance of food served at the restaurant as well as the quality and taste of the food was satisfying. The only suggestion would be to enhance the breakfast and the abundance of vegetables and fruits. Lastly, the pool area was inviting, and the loungers were comfortable. However, again the lounger mat was not well-cleaned. In conclusion, my stay at Cauayan was enjoyable, offering a comfortable and welcoming environment. However, attention to these areas of improvement would elevate the overall experience and ensure a memorable stay for future guests. The art of laid back luxury is absolutely correct. There are no details overlooked. The location and beautiful island paradise is great. The staff is even better. Salil the manager is awesome, the bar/kitchen staff (Chris, Nick, Karl, Red, Juan-Carlos, Jayson) are top notch!!!!!! all made the experience extra special. The office staff including Aica was top notch. I'll will be back!!!

Ambience and accommodation was great. Food had variety of selection. I liled that there were bidets on all entrances to prevent sand on the floors. Beach was great as well. Staff were very friendly and courteous.

Spent 5 days in a beach front villa with my family, had a great time, the beach is crystalline and in one side had corals with a varied of colorful fishes, turtles and small sharks. The food very fresh, the staff would give you choices for the catch of the day and others. We did the signature and beach tours, both excellent with small groups (9 and 7 people), they gave us plenty time in every stop and the attractions are very different from each other, very helpful staff. Plenty things to do, or relax all day 😊 Fantastic time
