I originally booked a room at Our Melting Pot El Nido, but it was so cramped and crowded that I decided to transfer here - and I'm really glad that I did. This is genuinely one of the nicest hostels that I've stayed in. Everything is huge - the beds, the rooms, the common areas, the showers. Even the lockers are big enough to sleep in. It's all been beautifully designed and it's kept very clean. There's always something going on, too - one evening they had live music, the next there was a table tennis tournament. Went to El Nido last week w/ a few friends and noticed Spin's pretty entrance once we entered the town and decided to check out. Apparently it just opened that week but already there were quite a number of walk-ins like us. The staff was very accommodating and gave a quick tour of the place before checking-in to our dorm. (The beds were REALLY nice & comfy for a hostel even better than a lot hotels!) Their garden area is really breathtaking. I love the nature feels from both the garden and the whole "nest" area where you can hear birds chirping etc. I especially loved the common areas where I got to meet new friends and read in their library/ book exchange area. Fun fun BBQ & Beer Pong night!! I have an upcoming solo trip scheduled and will definitely stay here again cos…
Definitely nicer than your average hostel. The common areas are large and well designed. Very comfy. Outside area is landscaped with lush greenery. Service was good and polite -- the staff explained the various areas and house rules when we came in, and made sure we got settled in our rooms. There's a common area where you can play board games. Which is a good thing if you're waiting for rain to stop! I played Monopoly with a couple of friends and had a blast. ;) There are common areas with books and stuff as well. The hostel holds small events now and then. While we were there it was BBQ night. No exaggeration but it was probably the best meal I've had in El Nido. Plus it…
