Really pleased with my stay here. Can honestly say this is one of the nicest hostels iv stayed at my hole time in southeast asia. Hostel is so clean bathrooms are sparkling. Breakfast is delicious and caters for all diets. Eggs made fresh the way you want them as well as a selection of fruit breads spreads and cheeses. Pancakes also made fresh to order. Lots of events on in the hostel bar. Wifi is the best and you get it in the dorms as well as common areas. Free laundry service available. Oh and tea coffee and drinking water available 247. Staff are more than happy to help you with anything you need. To kat and the rest of the staff thankyou for a wonderful stay. If I return to el nido this is where I will stay! Lastly would like to share this picture of the bbq they had food was Devine and only 350pesos all you can eat!

I’ve probably stayed in 100 hostels and Spin is by far the best! With 4 bed spacious, air conditioned dorms it almost feels like you’re in a hotel. The included breakfast is amazing (especially the pancakes) and there is always a social event on every night down at the hostel bar, so it’s super easy to meet new people. The thing that makes Spin hostel stand out the most is the amazing staff there, every staff member you walk past will ask how you are. Dondon the manager is never seen without a smile on his face and gives the best hugs around! Melqui, Rosiel and Kat on reception are so lovely and welcoming. They will help you book tours, onward transport, give you advice on where to go/what to do and might even join you for a drink when they clock off if you persuade them enough ;) Spin now feels like a 2nd home to me, and I can’t wait to go back!

Five of us stayed in Spin for 8 nights and had a brilliant experience. Angelo, Shiena and Ann made our stay so welcoming and easy. We originally meant to stay for 4 nights but we didn’t book our ferry in time so had to extend by 4 nights, there was no issue with this at all. The staff remember everyone by name and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The location is so central for all the restaurants and bars and you can organise all your tours with the hostel. 100% recommend.

A few good things about this hostel, location is great and close to all amenities, staff were super friendly and very helpful with trips and advice on local area. Breakfast was pretty good and there variety each day. WiFi connection is good throughout the hostel. A/C in my room was decent.
Now the bad things...
When I arrived there was vomit on the decking near my room. This wasn't cleaned for the duration of my stay (6 days), visible and smelling from hall way.
There was no hand soap or sanitiser available to wash hands in bathrooms. This makes the entire hostel feel dirty. As no guests are able to clean hands after using toilet. The nearest hand sanitiser available was in the bar area.
Water from sinks appears yellow and made me unwell for 3 days after brushing my teeth with it once (before realising how unsanitary it was). I didn't even have to swallow the water for it to make me unwell.
Another guest checked out and housekeeping came to "clean the room" I watched him simply make the bed and not change the sheets or towel. Leaving dirty bedding for the next guest.
There is no swimming pool or area to sunbath/ hangout in the sun. They have an undercover outside area which seems to be infested with bugs. I was bitten probably over 30 times in the space of 15mins sitting in this area.
I'm not a fan of leaving negative/ harsh reviews, but with the rating of this place being so high I thought it best to bring light to how unsanitary the place appears to be.
My advice would be to avoid this place and stay at another local hostel.

I stayed in Spin Hostel with my husband, we booked a private room and it was nothing but disappointing. We could deal with the fact it was tiny and felt like we're in a box, but it was soooo dirty it was a shame to let people stay there. Dust, spider webs and smelly sheets and towels. The stuff were no close to being nice, the Wi-Fi in the rooms is limited to a certain number of users so it disconnect every few minutes. The one and only nice thing about the hostel is the communal areas.

We booked via Agoda for three rooms, and there was some inflexibility in booking different types of rooms. Upon arriving, the hostel’s manager was gracious enough to change one of the rooms (single to double bunk).
On the first night, we were lucky to have a videoke night!
Food was good too, and when one of my friends craved for sinigang, the restaurant cooked it for her even if it wasn’t on the menu.
Rooms are quiet and beds are comfortable, plus the breakfasts are hearty.
If you are looking for an experience in El Nido, look no further than Spin Hostel.

My two nights stay at El Nido. I took a single room in this hostel.
Room: Very clean. Bed was comfy. AC performance was Ok. Bathroom was clean and had hot water running, had bath gel and shampoo. Wifi worked super.
Service: Staffs are very helpful. I must mention about Kaye who helped me to choose tour operators, food places and things to do in El Nido. Breakfast was fine- american brekafast, some local item and fruits+tea/coffee. Every monday they do a movie night from 7pm at their dining area. Boarders can use manual washing machine for free.
Location: Superb. Only 8/10 mins walk to the happening area of El Nido beach. Las cabanas beach is only 8/10 minutes by tricycle. Airport is around 15/20 mins away.

We had a wonderful stay in SDH if it's not the best one of the best hostel in el nido for it's affordable price. The location of SDH is very accessible if you want to go to the city or on the beach. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Highly recommended. Thank you SDH

I just can say: wow wow wow and again wow. This hostel is literally the best hostel in el nido city. You can trust me I tried a lot of them… the price for the rooms is more cheaper than other hostel and the breakfast is much better there and included. But that’s not the main reason why this is the best one. It’s because of the people especially Anton (the young guy with the glasses on the service) who really understand what a good service is meaning. He really gave his life for making people confident and happy. He booked everything for me and was 24h available. He even borrow me his phone because my was lost. We had an awesome experience here at Spin Designer Hostel for a week! The staffs were very accommodating and welcoming. They’ll always greet at you with a smile whenever you encounter them on the hallway. Even if you request for anything, they’ll sure provide it to you in a jiff. Every morning, we’re greeted by scrumptious meal in the breakfast nook. And take note, breakfast is in buffet style with wide selection of food from rice meals, breads, pancakes, fruits and juices (also you can request for your breakfast egg on how it is to be done like sunny side up, well done, omelet, scrambled or even top it with cheese.) You can comeback and fill your plates again if you’re not full yet. Aside from that, each night they have different events like BBQ night, margarita night, karaoke night, and movie night. They post it in a cute bulletin board near the lounge so every guest will be notified about on what event is happening when the night time bites. They are so eager to invite you to those events so that guests can socialize and meet new friends at the place. Shout out to the staffs, manager and supervisor of this beautiful place, especially Ms Sheena Mae for making our stay wonderful. Kudos to your great team! I will highly recommend Spin Designer Hostel to other friends and families who’s planning to go on a trip in El Nido, Palawan.

That's pretty far. If I were you, I'd email Spin to see if they would be able to make arrangements, otherwise I would stay closer to San Vicente at least the day before you leave.
