No elevator, shower water pressure was weak room 402. it was a little stronger than a drip. Room is small. Mattress is thin and I can feel the hard wood. No restaurant. Website needs update. No road access for big vehicles. Electricity and ac will shut off once you leave your room
We took the island tour A with Aqua Travel and were more than pleased with the adventure. The whole day was well planned and the staff ensured that everything went smoothly for everyone which is important when there is a lot of other tour groups and boats in the same areas. We have to put in a special mention to the manager of Aqua Travel ,whom went above and beyond to help my wife and I obtain a travel pass ( S pass ) in order to get to our next destination (El nido) We were having all kinds of trouble finding someone that could help us out and she took it upon herself to assist us, which took hours of her time. She was our saviour in a very stressful time and we can't thank her enough. Thanks to Kynie, Mike and his crew, we will definitely be taking another tour with Aqua Travel next time we visit El nido !…
Part of the hotel has beach front views and the other part is across the street. The two buildings are connected by an elevated walkway. If staying in the hotel across the street you will take the walkway to a rooftop seating area for free breakfast. The breakfast was great. You can choose from local cuisine as well as some western options. The view is perfect: it overlooks the beach. Starting your day off with a good breakfast overlooking the sea...can't beat it. We were able to reserve a last-minute island hopping tour at the hotel. One that could not be secured on-line before the trip. This started our stay off with a bang!!! So happy! The staff were very helpful and courteous at all times. Ask them anything at anytime and they are more than happy to help. If you don't have anything scheduled before your trip, contact the hotel staff and maybe they can set you up with a local tour guide/company for the island hopping tours. We had to pay cash so, make sure you bring extra. Not sure if you can schedule by phone with them and using a credit card, but in person (at least at the time) they only took cash. The tour boats load up right in front of the hotel. We might have walked 2 minutes to get to our boat. If you are taking any tours they only allow reusable water bottles. Your best option is a metal bottle since plastic is discouraged. Also, for the health of the reef, please us REEF SAFE sunscreen. Okay, okay Back to the hotel..... If you are use to toilet paper, ALWAYS, bring extra when traveling in the Philippines. You never know if the hotel will supply any and some public bathrooms will not have it. This hotel did supply toilet paper, but no shampoo nor washcloths. It's no big deal if you have your own, but you can always walk down the street to buy some from one of the local shops. If you're trying to save space and weight in your luggage I would suggest to buy local as they have small sample packs of shampoo and soap for sale: One less thing you need to deal with. The showers have hot water and the bathroom is spacious. The room we stayed in is a basic room with normal amenities: closet space, shelves, digital safe for you valuables, double size bed (not the best, but good), TV and air conditioning. The internet isn't the best, but that's most places I've been while in the Philippines. We were there in June, which is the rainy season, but didn't have major issues with the rain. It rained on one of the tours, but it didn't stop us and it didn't rain for long. Make sure to pack an umbrella for walking the streets or, again, buy local. They weren't expensive. Pack a poncho or other rain gear for the boat ride (just in case it rains) as it can get cold while traveling in a boat with cool rain hitting you. This hotel is located right next to a surf shop with lots of merchandise and located just minutes from other shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and if we go back to the area we would definitely stay there again.…
First things first. What this hotel lacks is mDe up by the excellent location and great staff. Aqua Lodge is located right in El Nido proper ! So many good restaurants close by like Art Cafe , Athena and Happiness! The breakfast view is so amazing. However there is the horrible stench of sewer back up that the staff tried to address to no avail ! The bed is hard! The towels are old with holes and really look like rags! The breakfast is just passable. Ask for honey and you get syrup. All in all we loved the location and the great staff. Sewer smell stench only from bathroom sink so use the shower for all your water needs. No fridge in the room and no service water available either.
Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, staff are friendly and the view while having breakfast was amazing. Internet connection was low inside our room so we requested to move for another room. Just to improve the quality of bed sheet and blanket as its too thin. Overall experience was great!
The management decided to fully charge me for 6000pesos, despite a request to cancel 10 minutes after the room was booked! Would never recommend to go for a place that priorities it's profit over honesty.
Great location right by the beach, excellent customer service and very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was basic and simple but good. Room was spacious and clean. They will help you book transfers and tours before you arrive and have it all ready for when you get there. Will stay here again.
Rooms were nice, clean hard bed. Shower was strong and warm enough. Staff was really friendly and willing to help, except for the lady in the who was working in the afternoon. It looked like she didn't like her job, sorry to say. One the third floor you do have a nice view over the bay and harbor. Breakfast was ok, we got 2 bananas as fruit. You could combine half a banana with some Mango and pineapple or watermelon. There are always more guests, so little to no waste. We paid around 2000 peso a night. And in our opinion for this money you can find a nicer place to stay
We stayed here for 6 nights at the end of June. Due to the fact that it's a budget hotel with some conflicting reviews we weren't expecting much, but were pleasantly surprised when we got here. The rooms are clean and there was a hot shower with decent water pressure. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast area was an unexpected bonus, it overlooks the beach and is right in front of the pier where all the tours leave/arrive from. There is an amazing view of the mountains surrounding the local area. Eating breakfast every morning with this view was one of the highlights of my trip to El Nido. Despite being told that the wifi in El Nido isn't very good, the wifi in the hotel was quite fast and I never had any problems with it. There was a good range of english language channels on the TV. The bed was quite hard but that seems to be quite common in the Philippines. The aircon isn't great but it does the job as long as you don't mind it blowing onto your head when you are sleeping. You can't put tissues in the toilet, but again that seems to be quite common in the Philippines. Vegetarians be warned, the 'baked beans' have pork in them which they don't mention on the menu, so when I ordered beans on toast I was left very disappointed especially as you have to order your breakfast the day before. To summarise, for the price the hotel is very good. The location is excellent, right next to the beach and a 2 mins walk from where all the tours depart from. The breakfast area has an amazing view. There are many restaurants as well as bars/clubs all less than 5 mins walk from here. The shower had hot water, and the room was clean. Wifi was much better than expected. If I come back to El-Nido, I will definitely stay here again.…
I am very much happy to be able to stay again in this simple cozy lodge. Aqua never disappoint me. Price wise and location wise i am satisfied. I am not expecting much to have the five star hotel experience since it is a budget lodge but to be honest its worth more than what you pay for. Just the free breakfast alone with the gorgeous view every morning makes me wanna go back again. plus the staff were super friendly. they will help you whatever you need. like if you wanna order more food they will cook it for you . of course extra food has charge but still i am happy for their service. I highly recommend this lodge because it is near the pier, near the beach were the boat parked for island hopping and near to spa/massage and restaurants/bars just walking distance. you can even walk at the seaside at night it is beautiful. i would stay here again and again when i go back in El nido :) #happyclient…
