My friends and I rented two of the villas each with a private pool. We had #1 and 2. 1 being the highest one up the hill. The view from the lounging terrace was spectacular In villa 1. The room itself was adequate. An L shaped open plan room with the bed tucked in the top of the L. It was against 2 walls and a tight passage on the only open side. There were no outlets near the bed. The bathroom was of good size. And was a wet shower set up. As is common elsewhere in the Philippines. What you wipe with goes in a bin on the side Villa 2 had a much more convenient square layout. Our friends were not sharing a bed, so we had the staff bring up an extra mattress to lay on the floor in front of the window. Both pools were very nice. Villa 1 pool had a waterfall. There was an issue with A bunch of kids getting into both pools while we were out. We came back to find them and politely shooed them away. Rumor was they were friends/family of the owners The big word of caution is what most other reviews have called out about the steep hill side and steps up to the villas. It was 100+ steps to Villa one. It became a challenge After a few days some Our less than fit in the group. For that reason alone, we should should've booked something in town on flatter ground The breakfast served was adequate. Be aware you must order the food the day before The staff was very helpful. They carried our luggage up. And down at our 430a departure I give this place 5 stars because of the views, the staff, affordable prices for a private pool. I wouldn't stay again because of the steps

I've traveled many places around the world but El Nido Viewdeck Cottages is best bang for buck. Stayed on the 5th floor and the view was spectacular. Polite n helpful staff made it an even bigger bargain. My only regret is not staying longer!

Lovely hotel with clean rooms, located a bit above town. Lots of steps, which we didn't mind, but wouldn't be the best for anyone with mobility issues. The view from the room was lovely. No real complaints, though if I had to do it again, I would probably stay down closer to the waterfront, to be more convenient to the main part of town with more restaurants and where the boats take off from. But for those who wish to be a little outside the main area of town or who really enjoy nice views from above, this would be a solid pick.

We stayed two nights at Viewdeck Cottages in El Nido and we dis not enjoy one single thing beside the filter coffee and juice/ice tea for breakfast. We were given the lower room right on the street. I slept each night no more than two hours for the noise of the street and the dogs barfing the whole night. The reception was nice when we arrived but beside being offered a tour straight away (!!!!) and no further info given such as wifi, breakfast time etc. The room was dirty with stains all over on the floor and after our complaints nothing was done, for instance offering a new room or sending someone to check, we were just ignored. Wifi is only in front of the reception. The view is on the street unless you pay three times the price for the villa with pool and I suppose the service will threat you like a normal guest of hotels is threaten. Very very sad to be felt like money machines. We were happy to leave and wont recommend the place anyone. We booked 10days before arriving so no much choice left. (Attached is the wonderful view we had at breakfast on the terrace).

When we booked Viewdeck Cottages we knew we got ourselves a basic room (most basic I think, the lower deck) for one week stay. But then everything worked just fine, the airco, the shower (even if very small it had good pressure and hot water). They do housekeeping everyday, which was suprising really for the price we payed (30€ a night). There aren’t many stairs to this room, something like 1st floor of a normal apartment building to compare with. The young man from the reception was always helpful, friendly and accomodating. We booked through them the ABC tours so we got free pick up service included and the company they used was good. Laundry also through them very fast service 24h and normal price as in town. The breakfast was delicious even if it wasn’t buffet it was enough - recommend the Overload ommelet. Lady cook and other kitchen staff also very friendly. Take earpluggs, the lowerdeck room is pretty noisy. One day we were allowed to use the private pool of one of the villas since it wasn’t occupied. I wish we had booked that villa (see photos) at least for a couple of days of our 7 day stay, what a fantastic panorama of the whole bay from the top floor villa, breathtaking!

I went to El Nido on December 22 - Dec 25 and stay in this hotel. This inn, as majority of the review's statement, is not for faint-hearted people and person with difficulty in mobilization as you need to walk of a steep rooms. The place is clean and well-maintained. It's location in El Nido is perfect if you want a place far from noisy town center, yet accessible to corong-corong, las cabañas and El Nido town itself. Everyday my room is cleaned around in the afternoon and during my island hoping tours. Breakfast is great too with very attentive, kind and very accommodating hotel crew. The place offers really eye-catching sceneries.
