Value
In the spirit of the renowned OMP Makati, this is a place to meet fellow backpackers in El Nido, a paradise in Northern Palawan. We designed the hostel, mindful of your needs, even as we commit to provide value accommodation against the challenges of emerging destinations: limited Internet connectivity, rationed electricity, and a rapidly expanding town beyond the locals’ expectations.

Definitely a good choice for solo backpackers! From accomodation to tour arrangements, this place have it. They also have the friendliest guests and the most accomodating staff flexible enough for your last minute requests. I met a lot of friends even for a night of stay only . Make sure to place this hostel on top of your list.

Shoutout to Debbie who has been always helpful in catering our requests! I'll make sure to see you all again. Thank you OMP🙌

Great place to stay when backpacking in El Nido. Can book all tours from the reception and transport to other islands. Rooms were clean with good air con. Breakfast was free and in a sociable setting which was a nice way to start the day. They also have themed nice which helped make it more lively.

Spent 6 action packed days and fun filled nights in this hostel at OMP. The staff were always happy and helpful, with a laid back attitude which allowed guest to have an enjoyable stay. I would highly recommended this hostel for anyone who is on a budget and traveling alone or in small groups to meet new people, but at the same time experience El nido by booking tours and trips through the hostel. I will never forget my time there and the people!! Nick x

Room is small but with the daily activities outdoor, you do not need that much space but a place to sleep. Lockers are provided. Employees go all out to assist you. Friendly and fun. This room should be the quietest room from the other rowdy drunk guests which you meet if you are not that lucky. But then again, when it comes to dormitory lodging, expect the unexpected and sail with it!

Clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. An was a fantastic guide for the Taraw cliff hike! A must do if you're not afraid of heights! Great common area for meeting other travelers. Nice breakfast included. Try to book in advance as it's very popular. Would stay here again for sure! Thanks OMP!! :)

I booked originally for 3 nights but ended up staying for 8. The staff of this hostel is incredibly friendly and will take the effort to know your name and help you with whatever you need. This place is perfect to meet other travellers!
I slept at the open area on the 3rd floor, not perfect (sun, wind and noise) but the cheapest option and for me it was fine. You'll party enough during the night to sleep a bit more easier ;)
The location is very good, close to the 'main'beach and a 20-25 minute tricycle ride to the other beautiful beaches.

I came to El Nido to enjoy the place only for couple of days and stayed eventually over two weeks. There is much to do in any place and see many views around the world but this place makes feel like home. ALL the staff is extremely welcoming and nice. Always talking with you and making sure you are having fun. OMP have every night something special for you.. From spaggeti night to kareokke to beer pong. It's never too boring in the hostel.
After traveling in central and South American and being in SE Asia I can definitely say I found a place that feels like home and met friends for life, and hopefully come back as soon as possible not to El Nido but to OMP:-)

I stayed here with some friends on Christmas of 2015 for 4 nights. It's one of the better hostels I've been. I met so many travellers and my friends and I had an absolute blast! The staff are awesome. I became good friends with Ann and Elvie in a matter of the short amount of time I was there. I had such an amazing time in El Nido and my memory of OMP is nothing but a great experience and meeting wonderful people.

A typical buzzing backpackers/hostel. Conveniently located in a central area of El Nido, close to bars, restaurants and the beach.

Relatively clean and comfortable. Noisy and lively with a very social atmosphere with visitors from all over the world. Not a good place if you looking for a good nights sleep, but great for budget travelers wanting to meet new people and explore El Nido. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Tours and transport can be booked from the front office. Free WIFI but not very reliable.

I stayed in OMP for with my sister for 8 nights over Christmas and I can honestly say it was the best hostel I've ever stayed at!! We were only supposed to stay 3 but we kept extending thanks to the amazing staff who went out of their way to make space for us!!
Ok so the rooms are a bit cramped but the staff are the best, I spent the whole time crying with laughter and met so many people from all over the world.
The hostel is really sociable and in a great location in El Nido with free breakfast what more can you ask for!! All I can say is stay there you won't regret it!!
Shout out the the Mams - Elvie, Nabcih, Debbie and Ann
I will definitely be returning to OMP!!!!

What prices do dives start at n how long
Answer from Marwan83
144 contributions57 helpful votes
Most of shops offer three dives for 4000 pesos! But you can shop around as there are so many dive shops! You can also bargain for a a cheaper option! The dive shop I went with was asking for 4100 pesos but I managed to get it down to 3600! Again , this includes all gear rental too and lunch ! Any cheaper than 3500 pesos is possible but definitely the quality of boat , gear and lunch would be less! Not sure what do you mean by how long ?

No, It's not free but your hostel can contact or provide a van service for you. You have to tell them or ask them to arrange a van pick up. Travel time is 5 to 6 hours and the rate is P500 to P600.
