I will start out with the positives - this resort has a lot of potential. The structure is beautiful and the spot for breakfasts and dinners facing the sunset is stunning. We thought that the staff did a great job and were very hospitable- namely John and Rubick. Breakfast selection was also great and the dinner food was tasty and reasonable! However, I would be hesitant to recommend staying here as the resort is very outdated. The bathrooms were filled with mould and I’m not sure when the last time they were given a good scrub. It was impossible to have a warm shower. TV and wifi barely worked and the pool’s colour looked quite questionable.
Yes! We had a memorable experience staying in El Nido Cove. To start with, the place was nice.. it was quiet and being a little too far from the 'bayan' is kinda nice for a change since me and my family lives in a crowded city. The down part is that because it is a bit too far, it would be costly for tourist to transfer from a place to another and also it would take time :) but most of the people in El Nido is polite and honest so you would not think they are charging you too much. hehehe The food however was to die for! my favorite was the kare kare and the pork sisig! yum!!!!! and lastly, but not the least, thank you John, Harvey,Robert and Richelle for the most accommodating experience. :D we definitely missed you guys! and thank you sa mga masahistas :) enjoy sila mag entertain. hoping to see you next vacay and we hope for your success! <3 lovelots , 4 ladies and 1 gentleman(our pamangkin) in room 05.…
First, I’d like to say that John our F&B Specialist, our Chef (on 12/19-12/23) who did a great job with our made to order omelettes and dinners, Ritchelle and Harvey and all other servers on the breakfast team who made this a wonderful stay!! Even the guys who helped us with our kayaks on the hotel’s private beach were fantastic! Our rooms were clean, comfy and very restful (AC was working the whole time). It’s far away from the crowds of the town market places - quiet and we loved it!! Just be aware that you will have to pay for transportation to get to any of the town activities. Cheapest transport is the tricycle and more expensive is hiring a van driver if you have a family. Wonderful destination- thank you El Nido Cove and Staff!!
It’s really expensive for what it is! Building really old and not maintained, the bathroom was a mess. Location: really far from El Nido town (>15km) you’ll have to pay a moped or a tricycle every time you want to go out (you should be carful because there is no light during the night and the road is not that good) Breakfast was mediocre and the food doesn’t worth the money (other couples confirmed our point of view ) no water offered, you’ll have to refill yourself in the lobby. The employees are humble but not that helpful. The only positive point is the fabulous view but I guess you won’t just stay at the hotel...you’d rather be in town, on a boat or on an island :)
This nice place but there are things why this isn’t clearly a 5/5 - hotel. It is quite far from down town and also to us it was 300 or 350 pesos per each way, so 12€ (for the round trip) to have some ice cream etc. staff was great and the dogs that live by the hotel are nice too, some people wouldn’t like it but we did. WiFi is quite bad here. If you like peaceful and quiet place, this is our hotel.
