El Nido doesn’t provide much in regards to accommodation, everything seems pretty basic, but you should be prepared for that before you come here. Yes you will struggle with wifi, yes you may struggle with water pressure, yes you might see some insects on your room but that isn’t just one place that is ALL places in El Nido. Overall our stay here was good, it was clean, comfortable, fan and air con too. Room cleaned daily and towels refreshed. My only issue was that it was a little bit noisy being on the main road and there’s very little to do in Corong Corong but other than that I would go back
We booked our stay here a day before we arrived. The owner of this travel lodge is one of the most friendly and helpful people I met whilst on Palawan. The staff helped with booking boat trips, mopeds and even helped us find some other accommodation when we got stuck in El Nido as we couldn't get a boat to Coron. This lodge is actually in Corong- Corong, around 10 minutes in a tricycle outside of El Nido. 'Pops District' is a short walk away with a couple of new bars and restaurants. Las Cabanas (Vanilla Beach) is a 5 minute ride away and you'll get to Nacpan in 40 minutes on a moped from here. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean in tidy. I had no issues with the Wifi whatsoever
Me and my friend booked this hotel as we saw it has very good reviews and wi fi and hot water. There's no wi fi - the wi fi doesn't work and also Globe sim card has no reception in the hotel area, we had to buy Smart sim cards. Two nights out of three we showered with cold water because their heater didn't work. There are ants in the room that entered my food bag and every morning at 6am we have chickens waking us up. Our room, number 3, is very close to a house which at morning has chicken noises, people talking and tools noises. At night we hear music. The hotel staff were very unhelpful with all of the problems, but luckily the website we booked through gave us a small refund for our problems.
Pros: - New and clean room - Room cleaning service every day - Very friendly and helpfull staffs - Nice view of the town from the terrace - Location is great and you can ask your van driver to drop you off in front of the hotel, It is located before and on the way to the van terminal Cons: - The room amenities sucks - You have to ask for the extra toilet paper if you will have problem with your stomach which is often here in the Philippines. - The towel is very thin and is not good to dry off your body completely. - No hotel restaurant. The whole El Nido is almost WiFi free and all hotels are offering WiFi but impossible to connect to the Internet. If you managed, then the speed is almost impossible to use.
We had a lovely 3 night stay in a deluxe room - comfy bed, big balcony and room, very clean and with good A/C and fan. The location was ideal, much quieter than in town and only a 50 peso tricycle into the heart of El Nido (there is also a convenience store and pharmacy right next door). There are plenty of food options and bars with great sunset views over the water within a short stroll too. The staff were always smiling and super helpful during our stay and ESPECIALLY after. We were almost 7 hours drive away in Puerto Princesa when we realised we had left an iphone, expensive camera and irreplaceable hardrive in the room, minutes before our flight to Manila. Janet and the team stopped at nothing to get these precious items back to us. All it took was a call from us and they were on the case. There were lots of set backs in their endeavour to get the items to us however nothing was too much hassle, including staff making two trips in person to the airport. Within three days all items were back in my grateful hands (including all the change from the pesos we had sent to facilitate the postage). I cannot thank or recommend this honest and thoughtful hotel enough.…
Our family for four had our first trip to el nido. We did not have much time to plan so this was our fault. Last minute trip as well. We could not find a place available close to the water like the hotels or inns on the water they were not on the travel websites or sold out. Good: very nice staff and very attentive, clean the room everyday, clean towels and beds, nice AC The Bad (get ready) 1. Too noisy, there were rooster cocking as early as 2am through 7am. Also dogs barking. If u are not a deep sleeper than you won't be able to sleep. 2. Only two places to eat near by (pizza place open at 2pm) and Boodle Fight cafe which is the only place for breakfast. 3. Location u have to take a trike to the beach for the tours or anything remotely close. I can't downgrade for the lack of internet since it's an island problem, everywhere has poor connection. Also this is probably a two star budget hotel so u get what u pay for. If u are on a budget go here. If u have some money stay elsewhere. …
Room 3 for 3 nights. Yes, it's in a nice location (although on the wrong side of the highway, and right on it)..in between El Nido scruffy town & the best beach (Malemegmeg), with many beach front bars & restaurants with in walking distance. Friendly staff BUT.....Useless Aircon. It kept randomly jumping to high fan speed & waking me up. The temperature gauge didn't seem to work, so it was Very cold or off. Also the noisy ceiling fan was either off or on high. I Spent the time in the room either sweating or freezing, sleeping with earplugs. Weird HIDEOUS fluorescent lighting, & awful luminous decoration, really depressing. Please..Get a sidelight, & paint the walls white. Simple. NO view. Straight onto the side of another house. But had to keep the curtains open as the lighting was so awful. I had a 'Mountain view' room. Eh? Really noisy , if not from traffic (esp front balcony rooms as your right on the main road), then kids & chickens & constantly barking dogs just outside. No hot water. Really uncomfortable cheap beds & pillows. The only plug sockets were on the other side of the room to the bed. A small thing, but annoying. No opportunity for breakfast. Just a flask of hot water in the corridor with instant coffee etc No breakfast, no patio, Nowhere to sit in the evening if you don't have a balcony. Nothing. All in all, a pretty poor room for the money. …
First, the staff here are very friendly and helpful; they were able to answer all my questions and book me on a last minute boat tour. The location of the hotel is on a quiet stretch of highway away from the noise and bustle of downtown and a close trike ride to Las Cabanas Beach, which has beautiful sunset views and clear blue water. The room itself was basic but clean and spacious. It had a strong AC, cable TV, balcony, and spacious bathroom. The wifi only worked for a few hours in the early morning but lack of working wifi is common throughout El Nido. Overall I was happy with this place and I would definitely recommend it as its clean, away from noisy downtown, close to Las Cabanas Beach, and the staff are wonderful.
this place is really recomended. Buenas Heaven was the first hotel i came to when i arrived to the el nido province and if it wasn't fullybooked i would definitly have stayed here my whole stay. the hotel is located on corong corong wich is about 5 minutes away from el nido center with the tricycle, wich was perfect. the beach on corong corong is not as crowded as the beaches in el nido center and the hotel is fresh and new. but the most exellent thing was the staff and the services they provided. they helped me with everything from booking tours with only a couple of hours notice to trying to make it possible to extend the stay although it was fully booked. if you want a place that is located in a calm area with friendly and helpfull staff, you should definitly stay here.
The best part of our stay here was how helpful the staff were in organising trips and transfers for us. The room itself was very basic with thin sheets and worn out towels. It is worth noting that everywhere in El Nido is ridiculously overpriced at this time of year and having traveled a lot around SE Asia we were surprised at how much places get away with charging. Our room was at the back of the property so no balcony but much quieter than rooms at the front. 10 mins by tricycle to the town and 5 mins to las cabanas beach. There's a great pizza place directly across the road.
