Detailed Reviews
You get what you paid for.
We booked our trip as package so we have no choice to Stay or leave.
Room are very small. We had a single bed for 2 person. So me and my hubby are fighting over space. 😆 🤣 so I requested an extra bed at no cost. So I end up sleeping on the floor which they provide pillows and beddings 👍. Breakfast are not OK but it's free why not! Atleast we eat before heading out for a day tour. But do not expect the food will be hot, not sure how long it's been seating in the kitchen, and be prepared to bring cash or bring along drinks with you ( not included even water). Staff are ok there very helpful and accommodating on our needs. Otherwise are stayed are ok if you don't expect the luxury staycation.

We made reservations to stay here for a few nights, but left after the first night. Maybe if I was a backpacker, or a hostel stayer it would have worked, but I am not. My back will not handle sleeping on a wood pallet with a 4 inch piece of foam as a mattress. As an aside, some beds did have more comfortable pads or mattresses, my room did not.
The walls are made of thatch, not concrete or block, so you can imagine the lack of soundproofing, and thatch allows mosquitoes to enter (would be ok if there were bed nets, but there aren't). For me, besides the bed, was the issue of non-flushing toilets. You have to fill a bucket and manually flush. The challenge is that the water pressure is low and this takes awhile. Thank heavens were moved to a more modern hotel before everyone got travelers GI illness!
What was good? The staff, and the food, and the little common area where people met to use the Internet. It was actually a cute place where hipsters, tenters, and younger folks seemed more at ease. Palawan is a low resource area, so be prepared for a low resource experience. With that said, there are higher quality places that may be a better choice, depending on your needs and comfort level in saying at a place that is just one step above camping out in a tent.
I ranked this as poor based on what my personal expectations were based on various social media sites reviews and the ads. The sleeping comfort was pretty bad. I see others who have rated the wood pallets with foam toppers as torture machines -- the owner should take notice. The mosquito issue was troubling as were the poor water/sewer problems.
I would not stay there again, and I would only refer folks who were interested in "roughing it".

We stayed for 4 days. As we arrived and asked reception if they have room service and wifi they said they have only wifi at lobby and no room service at all.
As we reached room and checked everything, I’ve noticed they were not providing any amenities at all. No shampoo, no soap and everything. You could only get towel. There were so many mosquitoes, small air condition and so annoying as its too noisy.
Breakfast was awful. How could you served breakfast food without inclusion of coffee. You have to pay extra for coffee. Rice was not hot at all.
When we checked out, we were about to eat at their restaurant. As I heard from staff that chef went to beach to do surfing so they decided to closed the restaurant. But other staff said to my fiancée that chef went to market.
I would not recommend this hotel again! Never !
Kuddos to “ Isla Paraiso travel agency “ specially to Kuya Jake, look for him if you want your tour to be more fun !

We came here during high season since it is lunar new year. First of all the accommodation is direct located at a main road, it is very very noisy. Plus there is a mechanics workshop on the other side of the street, there are loud construction works going on every morning. The dogs and chickens make loud noises from 4 am till morning. The walls of the room don't count as walls, they are made of dried leaves. That's why u have the feeling u sleep right on the road. Furthermore they don't clean the room, provide no fresh towels or other toilet amenities, as it was described on expedia.co.uk. We had to ask them more than once for new towels and to clean the bathroom. The bathroom was just a poor room with a broken shower, not a rainfall shower, like mentioned on expedia. Small basin, no soap, no hair dryer, we had to ask for toilet paper every time we run out of it. They didn't provide hot water. Wifi access is just a gimmick, hardly works and if it works, just allows 3 people at a time. U just have the access in the reception area, not in the rooms. Plus on top of all the owner is a short tempered person, becomes angry and loud when u complain about something.
We wanted to change the accommodation the first night we came but the problem was, that we booked via expedia and already paid the whole amount. And expedia didn't reply after sending a mail with all the complaints. Asking the owner whether we can leave, he said we have to discuss this with expedia, which was actually clever, because normally he sets the regulations but he didn't wanted to argue. We are sure he could managed that we can get back our money, he just didn't wanted to do this. We made a video of him where he yelled at guests who complained about the cold water, he send them out of the hotel and said "get out of my hotel". This is not the way u treat your costumers. We are so angry, because we paid for one single night, 57 dollars a night, so he made a lot of money with us. The room wasn't worth a single dollar. It's just money making, they are not interested that the guests will have a nice unforgettable stay. Anyway it was unforgettable for us in a very very negative way. We won't come back ever again.

The place itself is okay, but the rooms have wooden walls that are open here and there, so that any kind of little animal from the surrounding bushes could crawl in. Our room was average in prize, but absolutely nothing was provided, not even soap. The owner is a very problematic and rude guy ! He does not know how to treat people ! After the second night of bed bug bites we even found two that were still in the mattress! Should not happen, but can happen while traveling. So we talked to the owner and showed him the bedbugs. He totally freaked out and yelled at us !!! He seemed not know anything about bed bugs (even though he owns a hotel!) ...and threw us out !!! The whole time we stayed friendly but he was threatening and very angry. We heard stories like that about him from other travelers ! I do regret very much to have stayed there.... The food or the rooms were not even good, plus the whole situation with this owner that was mistreating us was completely unacceptable. I have never experienced something like that and I do backpack a lot. All in all...Definitely not recommendable (plus, not even cheap! )

Very comfortable and homely feel with accommodating and personable staff.
The nightly rate was excellent and great value for the area. Corong-Corong, in my opinion, is a far better option than staying in El Nido town.
The inn itself is a 4 minute walk from Corong-Corong beach where we enjoyed the awesome sunset with friends almost each night.
Las Cabanas Beach was a 10min Tricycle ride/35 min walk and town was also easy to trike/walk to (25 min walk, 10 min trike). Nacpan Beach is a 45-60min tricycle ride also. There is also a motorbike rental just down the road and Novie's staff are very helpful and can make arrangements for you once asked.
Only con I can think of were the noisy roosters that surrounded the area.
I stayed there for 11 days in March 2014 with friends and highly recommend Novie's.

Very accommodating staffs especially the owner of the inn
Although the toilet does not have flash but its not a big deal tho what matters most is how they treat their guest
What I also love is their tourist guides! This is to shoutout for kuya TJ! Thank you for touring us around el nido! Keep up the good work!

Where do I start.....
For the price you pay here, you will find much better value in many other parts of El Nido. I would have much rather have paid 1000 pesos more to get something a lot nicer, or paid 1000 pesos less to get the same type of of accommodation elsewhere. Terrible Value.
Nothing worked. Aircon never worked. The fan never worked. You can hear everything from outside and the rooms around you. The wifi is terrible/non-existent. It was miserable staying here and it made me feel even worse considering how much I was paying for all of this. I understand that El Nido is a hot spot and there is a high demand but his place needs a lot of work and is getting by as a business purely on the demand of El Nido.
Overall, there is a very terrible sense of maintenance for facilities and it all makes sense after you see the team of staff they have which are comprised mostly of apathetic individuals.
One good thing was the young gentlemen who worked at the desk. He was very kind and hospitable.
