I traveled to Cadlao Resort with my family in July 2022. I booked this resort as it seemed a little more boutique that some of the the others in the area and it did not disappoint! They have great size family rooms, located at the back of the resort and the deluxe rooms offer great views of Cadlao Island. The sunsets from the infinity pool or the restaurant were amazing. Cid, the manager of the resort, was so helpful with suggestions on things to do while in El Nido and provided us with details for a Dive Centre and Travel Agent to arrange to trips. Cid would check in everyday to ensure we were enjoying our stay and he was always on hand to answer any questions. While you are required to take a trike to get to El Nido town, the trikes were always on hand and we would only have to wait for a minute or two for them to pick us up. If you are up to it you can also walk into town which only takes about 20min. A great family holiday that I would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Our family of 5 travelled around El Nido for 11 nights, staying and visiting at various parts of the northern part of Palawan. Our initially planned 2 night stay was extended to 5 as Cadlao exceeded our expectations in all aspects. This is a family run resort with years of experience in the business and it shows. The grounds are beautifully kept with two pools and a restaurant, with views of Cadlao island . The restaurant serves what was probably the best quality/price within the area, with Breakfast being one of our highlights of the day! Service at the restaurant has room for improvement ie dynamic menus, speed of service, etc... - and we saw these changes being applied during our stay. We booked the Pool view rooms for most of our stay which were just the right size with modern amenities. Personally, we felt that it’s location was perfect and tranquil, far enough from the hustle and bustle of town and yet close enough (within walking distance) when we wanted to experience El Nido town or ride to discover beyond (ie Lio Resort, Vanilla beach, Corong Corong). We were unfortunately attacked by the Nik Niks (local sandflies) and they kindly prepared us some medication to help which we truly appreciated. Special thanks to the Front House staff Mhai Mhai and JM for impeccable customer service, housekeeping for making sure everything was maintained and spotless. The tuk tuk and drivers were always on time and professional - drop off between the resort and beach is such a special feature and added to the ease of transporting our family everyday. Resort manager Cid, always endeavoured to attend to our needs and concerns. If you’re looking for an excellent family, seek quality local cuisine and looking for authentic, un pretentious hospitality then we would warmly recommend a stay in Cadlao. This was our favourite stay and frankly, was probably the one where I was able to just sit and relax during our holiday!

Went there in 2016 and we loved it so much. Not in the center of el Nido so quite quiet in terms of noise. But the center is accessible walking and it’s really nice to walk there. Food is great, view is amazing. Possible to book daily excursions at sea to snorkel, dive and see the whereabouts. Would love to go back there. Incredible memories.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Cadlao. The resort was beautiful, great views and the people were so friendly, hardworking and accommodating. The food at the restaurant was very good, my personal favorite was the squid cooked in ink and coconut, and also the fish in banana leaves. Our room was very cozy, overlooking the pool and housekeeping team was great. There is also umbrellas provided outside the room for rainy days. However, I did not realize that the resort is located in an area where it is not easily accessible. They offer a tuktuk transportation (until 10pm) to bring you to the beach area drop off (they can also pick you up at the same spot) and from there you can walk to town or get a tricycle to visit other places/areas. We tried walking from the resort to town (back and forth), but it was not an easy walk especially at night and during high tide. You definitely have to factor in the transport when staying at the resort. Also, there were so many vendors walking by the beach, and they can spot you when lounging by the pool or eating at the restaurant. I understand it is their livelihood but it was difficult to relax and enjoy your meal when each time you look at the beach to appreciate the scenery, someone is waving at you and asking you to buy their items even after politely saying no, thank you. I wish management can do something about this. The beach where the resort is located is not swimmable at all, lots of big rocks surrounding the area but the resort has two nice pools to make up for this. Overall, it was a wonderful stay at Cadlao. Special thanks to the management and the wonderful staff at the restaurant for a great experience.

Dear katr_Harav, Your reviews mean so much to all of us, We’ve taken your thoughts to heart and we’re planning on making some internal changes based on your recommendations. For the vendors from time to time, we talk them not to approach our guests, especially when dining and lounging at the pool, we also gave warning that if they do not cooperate we will call the attention of the local government. We look forward to welcoming you to Cadlao Resort & Restaurant again. Cid Operations Manager

We had a very nice stay at Cadlao resort for 5 days in July. Customer service was excellent and the staff were very kind and supportive throughout our stay. They helped us with every request. Views were beautiful and it did rain a lot which we expected as it was rainy season. A few suggestions for improvement: 1) mosquitos were oppressive in the resort. Even with using bug spray, we had a beautiful patio facing the pool but could not really enjoy it as you’d be swatting mosquitos every 5 seconds. I think the hotel should look into insecticide or other mosquito solutions 2) vendors on the beach would distract or grass every guest. Imagine having a beautiful view at breakfast, but every time you looked over the horizon there was a vendor waiving, distracting you, trying to grab your attention to sell you their items even after tou told them no several times. They were very annoying, and we brought this up to management. This would happen daily and really detracted from our relaxation and ambiance. I hope they could somehow address this in the future 3) the room could use more storage solutions or places to hang wet clothes. There was a lot of un utilized wall space Overall we had a pleasant stay here and I would recommend the resort. With the above improvements I would definitely give 5 stars

An excellent choice for anyone who likes to experience good service , great accommodations with a great view of the Cadlao island and great food. The manager , CID, was very accommodating, granting all my requests for us to have an unforgettable vacation in El Nido , Palawan. We have travelled all over the world to find beautiful beaches. Arrival was easy, they had a van waiting for us. The staff was accommodating and offered to help without us asking. It felt like a small, family friendly resort. We had three rooms for our family of 6. There were two styles of rooms, one was romantic and views were stunning. One room was beautiful with a pool view. Rooms were small, simple with basic amenities (toothbrush, soap, shampoo, water, tea, instant coffee). Hotel provided bath towels, pool towels, and umbrellas. Location was ideal because it was far from town so it felt quiet, peaceful but they offered free tricycles into town throughout the day so El Nido town was easily accessible. We had a senior citizen and two young adults traveling and there was something for everyone to enjoy. Their beach wasn’t sandy, more coral/rocks so bring aqua socks if planning on exploring the shoreline. The restaurant offered delicious breakfast daily (Filipino and Western). They had two pools that were simple and clean. Highlight was the staff, location, and views.

I needed a place to stay that would allow me to work on my laptop during Canadian business hours. This meant I needed a quiet place with good wifi. I explained my situation and the resort manager Sid went above and beyond to set me up with an ideal space. He also helped me test the wifi speed and it was faster than I get at home even! I am grateful that I had a chance to stay in this excellent resort. The food is easily some of the best in all of El Nido. One of the greatest charms of the resort is that its location is removed from the loud and busy El Nido center. It has well manicured gardens, beautiful mature trees, exceptional views, soothing pools and very comfortable rooms. If you're uncomfortable catching a trike and being driven across a stretch of shoreline and past the area's cemetary and you want to be right in the middle of El Nido then this resort isn't for you. But if you want a really beautiful, classy and homey experience then this place is awesome!
