Wonderful place. The Resort is a collection of small houses in which there are rooms, each with a terrace in which there are armchairs and coffee table. The rooms are small but very well maintained, a beautiful garden two swimming pools overlooking the bay of el nido giving breathtaking sunsets and wonderful views. A spa with qualified staff in which to relax after hiking. The Resort is located a few minutes from the center of el nido but offers a free tuk tuk service h24 that takes you from the resirt to the central zina and vice versa. Breakfast is super: a mix of a la carte and buffet. There are tea and coffee plus bread various jams, local muffins and pastries, juice buffet while ordering eggs ( scramble- benedict- omelets) or yogurt with à la carte fruit. The staff is exceptional, of extreme kindness and ready to support in any request.

An absolutely beautiful resort in the quieter side of El Nido. Don’t get scared by it being ‘further’, it’s a 6 minute walk to the square and the resort always provides tuk tuks.
The resort is truly lovely - you get a little cabin as your room that opens out to the gardens. The area is well maintained and landscaped and there are three pools to enjoy, as well as restaurant where they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks with cocktails.
The views are spectacular, just breathtaking. Every morning walking out of my room brought a smile on my face. It’s so impressively beautiful and peaceful.
The staff are lovely - kind , helpful and beyond polite. They made our stay just amazing. The rooms are squeaky clean and comfortable.
All in all this hotel is a gem and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting El Nido.

Arrival was easy, they had a van waiting for us. The staff was accommodating and offered to help without us asking. It felt like a small, family friendly resort. We had three rooms for our family of 6. There were two styles of rooms, one was romantic and views were stunning. One room was beautiful with a pool view. Rooms were small, simple with basic amenities (toothbrush, soap, shampoo, water, tea, instant coffee). Hotel provided bath towels, pool towels, and umbrellas. Location was ideal because it was far from town so it felt quiet, peaceful but they offered free tricycles into town throughout the day so El Nido town was easily accessible. We had a senior citizen and two young adults traveling and there was something for everyone to enjoy. Their beach wasn’t sandy, more coral/rocks so bring aqua socks if planning on exploring the shoreline. The restaurant offered delicious breakfast daily (Filipino and Western). They had two pools that were simple and clean. Highlight was the staff, location, and views.

This stylish resort delivers against the expectations of a well run international establishment. From the time you arrive until you depart nothing is too much trouble. Our beach front cottage gave us a relaxed space, sea views and quiet privacy. The room with air conditioning, ceiling fan, large comfortable bed, wardrobe, lock box, a terrace with outdoor furniture, good wifi a great bathroom and shower and tea and coffee making facilities was ideal. Fridge available on request. The resort has 3 pools, a quality restaurant - bar and a spa. A free Tuk tuk service to and from town if you don’t want to make the 700m walk, A generous breakfast was included.

The hotel is very nice and the location is perfect. Far enough away from the busy parts of El Nido town but close enough to enjoy those parts with a brief 20 min or less walk or a tricycle ride. The property operated Tricycle don’t take you far but that’s not a problem as you can easily get one of your own from one of the locals offering that service. I stayed in the standard cottage which was perfect for me. Someone tall though may have a spacing issue on the toilet as the wall facing the toilet seat is very close. I actually made a mistake with my booking dates so the hotel had to remove my things from the room to honor another reservation. Even though this was an oversight on my behalf and a possible inconvenience to the property they remained kind helpful and accommodating. They didn’t even contact me to point out the error they simply help my belongings (which they packed for me) in the front office and allowed me to freshen up in the spacious bathroom there that includes a shower. This is the type of hospitality money can’t buy. My stay was already great but the customer service made it even greater. Not to mention the views from the resort are breathtaking. I highly recommend!

Our family of 5 travelled around El Nido for 11 nights, staying and visiting at various parts of the northern part of Palawan. Our initially planned 2 night stay was extended to 5 as Cadlao exceeded our expectations in all aspects. This is a family run resort with years of experience in the business and it shows. The grounds are beautifully kept with two pools and a restaurant, with views of Cadlao island . The restaurant serves what was probably the best quality/price within the area, with Breakfast being one of our highlights of the day! Service at the restaurant has room for improvement ie dynamic menus, speed of service, etc... - and we saw these changes being applied during our stay. We booked the Pool view rooms for most of our stay which were just the right size with modern amenities. Personally, we felt that it’s location was perfect and tranquil, far enough from the hustle and bustle of town and yet close enough (within walking distance) when we wanted to experience El Nido town or ride to discover beyond (ie Lio Resort, Vanilla beach, Corong Corong). We were unfortunately attacked by the Nik Niks (local sandflies) and they kindly prepared us some medication to help which we truly appreciated. Special thanks to the Front House staff Mhai Mhai and JM for impeccable customer service, housekeeping for making sure everything was maintained and spotless. The tuk tuk and drivers were always on time and professional - drop off between the resort and beach is such a special feature and added to the ease of transporting our family everyday. Resort manager Cid, always endeavoured to attend to our needs and concerns. If you’re looking for an excellent family, seek quality local cuisine and looking for authentic, un pretentious hospitality then we would warmly recommend a stay in Cadlao. This was our favourite stay and frankly, was probably the one where I was able to just sit and relax during our holiday!

In retrospect, the Cadlao Resort set the bar pretty high in comparison to the other places where we've stayed on our journey. The resort was actually better than described on the website!! The seafront cottages are private, roomy, tastefully decorated, super clean, and adequately equipped. The bed is very comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom is tucked away in the rear of the room and is nicely appointed. Bonus if you stay in the seafront cottages with a view of Cadlao Island and lovely sunsets.
The on-site Jinger restaurant was great for the included breakfast buffet. We enjoyed lunches and dinners there. Our only feedback is that they need more vegetarian options.
The on-site spa was wonderful! We enjoyed traditional hilot massages.
A nice perk is that the Resort provides transportation to the town square area of El Nido where there are a few nice restaurants and shops and is where you meet tour operators and rides to/from the airport.
The property's great, the amenities and services are great, the restaurant food is delicious and authentic... and the people are an absolute joy, polite, friendly, and accommodating. Yes, when in the hospitality industry, you're supposed to be this way, but this is how we're finding Filipinos in general no matter how we encounter them.

We had two rooms booked for our party of six and stayed 5 nights at the resort. Both the family room and the double room were located by pools, although we tended to stay at the bigger pool as this had the great views. We had adult children with us and they all loved the happy hour by the pool. Free cocktails!! Meals were good, the staff were excellent. You could not fault the service provided. Location was perfect, a bit out of town, we didn’t mind at all. You had the resorts free Toktok on call, transporting you to and from the resort if needed or you could walk as it was not too far. There is also a tour booking service just outside the resort. We used this company and were very happy with the day out island hopping.
Having read the previous reviews, l will address the water concerns raised - the resort provides multiple cold water refill stations for you to use free of charge.
We really enjoyed this resort as it provided a great environment to relax, excellent views and the staff were amazing.

I needed a place to stay that would allow me to work on my laptop during Canadian business hours. This meant I needed a quiet place with good wifi. I explained my situation and the resort manager Sid went above and beyond to set me up with an ideal space. He also helped me test the wifi speed and it was faster than I get at home even!
I am grateful that I had a chance to stay in this excellent resort. The food is easily some of the best in all of El Nido.
One of the greatest charms of the resort is that its location is removed from the loud and busy El Nido center. It has well manicured gardens, beautiful mature trees, exceptional views, soothing pools and very comfortable rooms. If you're uncomfortable catching a trike and being driven across a stretch of shoreline and past the area's cemetary and you want to be right in the middle of El Nido then this resort isn't for you.
But if you want a really beautiful, classy and homey experience then this place is awesome!

Hi Daniel,
Apologies, but our seafront is rocky, but guest can swim in there if they like just make sure to wear aqua shoes.
Other option is to go to Duli beach (approx 1 hour and 15 mins travel from our hotel). We have a private beach there. Our guest can freely go there and enjoy the secluded beach.
