This hotel has a great location on the beach in Downtown El Nido with friendly staff. The view from the top floor restaurant/bar is excellent, breakfast was good although I had reservations about the two dogs living in the kitchen, one barked frequently. We were on the 4th floor accessed by timber stairs – no elevator. The small room was made even smaller with the addition of a single bed next to the queen bed and a half sized, very noisy, dirty refrigerator in front of the mirror. The exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter. The real concern we had with this property was the lack of fire detection and fire alarms systems. The fire detection wiring was hanging out of the ceiling (perhaps ready for future connection), the emergency lighting was sitting on top of the refrigerator but not connected to anything and there was no fire alarm. The evacuation plan on the back of the door showed evacuation via a fire escape which did not exist. If there was a fire, escape would have been very difficult if not impossible. This hotel should not be operating as it does not comply with the current Philippine fire code. We were booked for 3 nights but unfortunately we arrived very late and did not have time to relocate. Feeling very unsafe at this property, we changed hotels the next day.…
Very nice place to have a rest. Very friendly stuff. The beach is very comfortable, a huge amount of fishes to play with:)) . The eating is personally thinking. I liked it very much.In a word, very fantastic place to go with your family.
I don't know what people are fussing about. This was a great place to stay! The room that I got was quite small but I was provided with everything I needed -- comfortable bed, cold AC, a mini refrigerator, the water pressure was great in the showers, and the toilet had a bidet. The bathroom was very spacious too. My booking came with free breakfast and I was impressed at the options. But the best part was the staff and hosts/owners/managers. They were very kind and lovely, attending to my needs and took some time to chat with me. It felt very homey and that's the charm of this place.
Our room at the third floor was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfy and big with clean sheets. Bathroom is also clean with working hot/cold shower and towels. Our only issue was the toilet as it clogged on our second day but the staff fixed it immediately. Their hotel staff were very helpful and nice; their front desk staff (Arlene) even helped us get a tricycle for our tour of Nacpan/Lio/Marimegmeg beaches. Breakfast at the 5th floor was good and the view from there is amazing. APTR's location is very accessible as it is in the town proper. It's very close to the port (where the island hopping tour starts) and within walking distance to and from restaurants, ATMs, church, pasalubong stores, etc. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to my family/friends.
I think we were lucky and scored the main balcony room, looking straight out into the beach/bay. Clean, bathroom with window and fan, hairdryer, relaxing dining area just upstairs with wifi and excellent views. We’d come back for sure.
As we booked very late, we didn’t have many options within our price range so ended up booking this b&b. We had the full sea view room on the 4th floor which was a lovely view of the beach and port. As I had a suitcase, it was tiring climbing the stairs. But we got used to the walk up. WiFi doesn’t really work in the room, I got lucky a few times. The power went out on a number of occasions. The room itself was ok, the shower was tricky to work but they showed us how to switch on the hot water the next day. The room was a bit dusty in places but cleaned to good standard on eye level. Unfortunately the pillow I slept on was very hard and high. On the first night, our towels didn’t dry us properly and left fluff all over us but after I spoke to house keeping, our towels were fine from then. They had all the movie channels which kept us entertained before bed. As the balcony doors didn’t fully shut, the sound of the waves could be heard which was quite calming. The location is very convenient located right by the port (2 min walk) and very close to the meeting point for tours. It’s only 15-20 minutes tricycle ride from El Nido airport, costing 300 PHP. Lots of food and drink options with shops located right on your doorstep. Breakfast was good, we went for the English breakfast option. The bacon was really nice and worth trying. We had a morning flight to catch and even though breakfast is usually served from 6:30am, they offered us breakfast at 6am when we went to hand over the keys, which was really nice. As it was our honeymoon, they decorated our room with balloons which was cute. The staff were probably the best thing about this place. Oh, and they have a cute dog and adorable little puppy!…
It's a no frills sort of place, but the staff were very kind. Nice view from top floor dining area of the bay. Enjoyed my filipino breakfast every morning served by a friendly lady. Reception lady was also very kind to us. On rainy days it was good to have this hotel as a base as it's close to great restaurants, bars, cafes or even just to chill up in the top floor and gaze out into the bay.
Pictures of this “hotel” look like correct. We knew before going that it wouldn’t be “ a top star hotel” but it was a Hostel. If you carry heavy suitcases better not going, stairs are narrow. Room was just ok, not very clean, not so confortable, walls too thin. Pictures are not as the reality. If it rains roof leaks a lot. This puntuation is because during our trip we were in other hotels (5*) much better than this one and cheaper!!!!
Also known as APTR. Overall a rather nice cozy place in El Nido. It is located near the Art Cafe, near towards the jetty area. The owners are a nice couple who have taken care of the place quite well. From the van terminal you can take a tricycle and drop off right at the doorstep. The hotel is narrow as you enter and it is 4 storeys high. Only 1 room has the sea view but still kinda blocked by a building in front of it. The breakfast area is at the 4th storey and unfortunately you have to climb the stairs. The corridors along the way tends to echo a lot when you walk especially with your slippers so please be careful not to be too loud. Breakfast is plated and you basically have either American or Filipino. Rooms are nice but little small. No telephone in the room so you have to walk down to the front desk if you need anything or walk up to the restaurant. Our room was good for family and it had a.double decker and queen sized bed. Although it's not beach front, it is still accessible to the nearby shops and restaurants and within 5mins to the beach area where the diners are. The hotel also provides reasonably priced El Nido boat tours so please approach the owners and get a good deal. Good hotel for big group and or families. …
After trying many places in El Nido and not knowing which area to stay I luckily got into “a place to remember “ and oh what a find. It was like finding a home away from home in the perfect location, a stroll from beach side restaurant row , a lovely beach and so close to where the island hopping boats leave from you can practically step on board from the beach and wait ther’s more. The staff are fantastic and Ma’am Pearl, the person who calls herself the receptionist is better than a mother and she handles every request, question or need with the most beautiful smile and it just happens. Of all the places I’ve stayed , oh I forgot the rooms. They are modern, good size and refreshingly comfortable. The view from the rooftop breakfast area is how you want to start your day. The buffet is not oriented towards foreigners but local Filipinos but never fear you will not go hungry as you will find plenty to suit your taste. Of all the places I have stayed or I have reviewed this beautiful modern homely boutique hotel is surely A PLACE TO REMEMBER and one that you will take away wonderful memories from,…
