Detailed Reviews
So after booking months before arriving and looking at the reviews this place didn't look so bad for a inbetween stop. Unfortunately recently the place looks to have taken a dive.
The staff are very friendly and try to help where they can although the building itself is a bit of a mess. It's currently under construction and only floor 1 and 2 have rooms while floor 3 is the breakfast area which also looks a little like a building site.
The rooms are basic, our room didn't have any a window with any natural light coming in. The fridge was there but not plugged in and the shower didn't go hot.
Phone coverage on floor one is impossible and the wifi only works on floor three.
On the first morning I walked down to reception to find a cockroach on the stairs. Both staff walked past it which I thought was odd.
Anyway, to cut a long story short I wouldn't really recommend until the place back to the standard it should be at.

Ok, so we had a good laugh at the reviews before we booked here.
Therefore, I do have to say, as long as you don't expect serious luxury for the price, you'll be fine - so manage expectations before arriving! This is clean and friendly, but relatively basic accommodation by international standards. For El Nido, I'd say it's what you get at this price point, for a smaller hotel, but I can see how people are disappointed - you can pay a lot less for a lot more in the world, yes, but this is El Nido and it's touristy.
The staff were lovely: very friendly and hard working. As with the whole town, the electricity is off between 6am and 2pm, so your aircon cuts out at 6am, which is worth mentioning if you don't sleep well in the heat.
The hotel has some great views - we splashed out to get the 'penthouse' (for $60, I think), and the little balcony up there means you can sit and watch the sunset and the boats coming and going.
Shower was clean but basic, and there was soap and towels provided. Breakfast was simple, and only disappointing if you expected lavish facilities - we got a juice, eggs and bacon. There are some great little cafes nearby though, for alternative choices.
In summary, it was basic, but clean and comfortable and in a good location, with very helpful, friendly staff.

Staff are friendly, location is good, the rooms are nothing special. For the same price you can get a more modern and nicer place just a few doors away to the left, which is what we did after one night at this place to not remember.
It was definitely over priced.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! They have multiple small dogs that yap and howl throughout the day. We thought okay maybe once everyone is settled for the night they would be okay. Nope. They lock the dogs in their own room with the TV turned up loud and they continued to bark throughout the night. We even asked the front desk if they could help with the dogs at 3:30am when they would not shut up. The guy tried to call the owners with no luck and then said the owners of the hotel weren’t here. We knocked on the door to see if there was someone with the dogs that could help calm them down with no answer. So not sure who the dogs belong to be based on the other reviews it seems like they are not going anywhere. After a long night of not sleeping, housekeeping then started opening and slamming doors starting at 6:45am while all listening to music loud enough that it can easily be heard through the doors. I would take the dozens of roosters we have slept near in the Philippines over this.

This hotel has a great location on the beach in Downtown El Nido with friendly staff. The view from the top floor restaurant/bar is excellent, breakfast was good although I had reservations about the two dogs living in the kitchen, one barked frequently. We were on the 4th floor accessed by timber stairs – no elevator. The small room was made even smaller with the addition of a single bed next to the queen bed and a half sized, very noisy, dirty refrigerator in front of the mirror. The exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter. The real concern we had with this property was the lack of fire detection and fire alarms systems. The fire detection wiring was hanging out of the ceiling (perhaps ready for future connection), the emergency lighting was sitting on top of the refrigerator but not connected to anything and there was no fire alarm. The evacuation plan on the back of the door showed evacuation via a fire escape which did not exist. If there was a fire, escape would have been very difficult if not impossible. This hotel should not be operating as it does not comply with the current Philippine fire code. We were booked for 3 nights but unfortunately we arrived very late and did not have time to relocate. Feeling very unsafe at this property, we changed hotels the next day.

The room allocated to us was tiny had no windows and would give anyone dark ideas.
But worst of all, the owner charged us around 5,000 php for one night!!!
He admitted he should reimburse us later in an email but found multiple excuses to make it impossible in practice.
Definitely a place to remember and to avoid at all costs.

This has easily got to be the one of the worst places I have stayed.
I have traveled a lot, I have stayed in cheap places that were amazing, and the other way around.
By booking this place, I was pretty sure that I was a bit on the safe side. I knew about the electricity going out in El Nido, and that was not the problem.
- When I arrived, they did not have a room, and even with the receipt that everything was paid for they first wouldn't give me a room. They blamed this on different things, but in the end they managed to get me a room next to the reception. I told them that it was ok for one night, but I was not going to stay there any longer as there were ants crawling pretty much everywhere. AND it was next to the reception where pretty much most of the staff were hanging around making noise
- The wi-fi didn't work AT ALL!
- I do not need my room cleaned everyday, but they could at least taken out the trash.
- When I told them to clean my room (after three nights) they did NOT change the bedsheets even if I asked them to do it.
-The breakfast is OK ...nothing more, nothing less
-There were almost never anyone in the reception area. Except for earlyearlyearly in the morning, when it seemed like everyone was there, laughing, singing, shouting. It was impossible to have a good night sleep there.
I am pretty sure that some of the cheaper hotels are a lot better than this, and you should really consider them instead. This is nothing what it looks like on the booking pages.

It will be definitely a place to remember.
The hotel allocated a room with no windows, barely enough space to stand (very different from the pictures).
We paid around 5,000 php for one night.
The owner also ripped us off for the transport.

This place was disgusting.
Firstly it stated free wifi, however it did not work for the whole 4 days we stayed. They told us it was due to problems on the whole island but everywhere else in El Nido the wifi worked.
The breakfast is terrible, Id prefer to eat regurgitated vomit than eat their food.
The rooms are damp and smells awful. The air con is loud and either too cold or too hot.
The towels shred onto your skin when you dry yourself.
The rooms are not cleaned daily nor is the rubbish removed.
You have to ask for more toilet roll.
The staff are so noisy both late at night and 5am in the morning.
They play terrible music on their phones and sing badly.
The electrics are so dodgy that my phone charger blew up. When I tried to ring reception to tell them there was smoke coming from their sockets, no one was in sight.
You would feel more comfortable curling up on the street with the cute dog outside than stay here, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Dont stay here, and don't book through Agoda. We booked this hotel, paid in full through Agoda, upon arrival after a long journey they had no record of our booking and no room available for us. We had to look for another place to stay and received no refund. The staff were not accommodating and terrible service. From the look of the place also seemed really overpriced. Definitely not a place I want to remember.

Hi! You should better ask those questions directly from the hotel, they have e-mail adress. But I think that every hotel can help You book buses, vans or island hopping tours, it is part of their job I guess :). We let our hotel in Sabang book the bus and van for us, both ways, we came to E Nido by bus (the hotel arranged the transfer the bus station) and returned to Puerto Princesa in shared van, because we needed to get there by time that buses did not run :). So ask from the hotel, they are very friendly there!
Rain does not last too long, I think You can still have a wonderful time! Plus You can never predict a rain a 100 %. Maybe You are lucky and it will only rain at nighttime? :) Good luck!
