Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Our room was big with ocean view. The beds were clean. The room has a TV and it’s own bathroom. It was spacious. You could actually put one more bed if you have extra company. The only downside was, we were in the third floor and we had to use the stairs. The pension house has a small cafe attached to it but a lot of restaurants are walking distance so looking for a place to eat is not really a problem. There are convenient stores too along the way to grab personal stuff or small groceries.

Booked a room with a view of the bay and what a view it was! Beautiful to sit on the balcony with breakfast in the morning and beers in the evening. Building works were ongoing right next to our room but we had a very active stay when we were in El Nido so we weren’t really around during the day for it to be a problem for us. The room itself wasn’t the greatest but it didn’t need to be for it to be a great place to stay. You have to place your breakfast order the night before and can’t get drinks to the room so we bought a lot of bottled water when we were there.

I like this place. I stayed an additional 3 nights. It was clean and beach facing and it was a great price. I stayed at 3 hotels in El Nido and this one was by far the best. WiFi not that great though. But the team are lovely and smiley. I would go back again..

All the reviews I had read before booking here were true. This place is not a hotel. It’s a no frills-type of accommodation. But you get what you pay for, and we are truly satisfied : )
The hotel is centrally located in El Nido town and very convenient for going to restaurants, cafes, and shops.
The building does not look great from outside but room was big enough for a family of four (two adults and two kids). Our room was on the third floor family room facing the ocean. It had one of the best views in El Nido town area for sure. I just wish there was no coconut tree blocking part of our view! As far as I understand, there are only two rooms on the third floor and higher the floor the better to see the color of the ocean. if you can book the room on the third floor, book the one left side facing the big mountain for even a better view. (without the coconut tree!).
The another great thing about this place is the ocean access. This place has the best beach access in El Nido town area. The water is clean and definitely fine to swim in.
Remember to bring own toiletries since you only get small soaps. No toothbrushes, not even shampoo is provided.
Free water (hot or cold), ice tubes, and coffee were available. No fridge, no working tv (entire pension), and no elevator. Bring a bug spray if you are loved by mosquitoes. Wifi was spotty but worked most of the time.
The pension staff are not overly friendly here but that was expected since this isn’t a hotel. They were all busy working and our room was cleaned well daily.
There are a lot of ants here. We have been living in the Philippines for four years and were not surprised. If you don’t like ants, do not eat anything in the room. If necessary, eat in the veranda and take the trash out immediately into the garbage bin outside/hallway.
You rarely see anyone sitting behind the front desk. So, you really have to be independent or be relaxed when you need something.
I appreciate all the previous reviewers. I got exactly what I expected and am very satisfied. Highly recommend to anyone who does not expect a hotel service but want to have an amazing view from your room for a very reasonable price.

Not impressive from outside, but the inside is clean and well kept. The room we booked faced the ocean, and the view was beautiful, especially at sunset. Bed is clean and comfortable, and faces the beach, there is a private walk out balcony, with furniture, so we were able to relax and enjoy a drink there while watching the sun go down. Night life is a short walk from the hotel as are a wide variety of eateries. There is also a restaurant on the ground floor for breakfast and ground on site coffee. All in all worth the price.

It was a great place to stay, it was a beachfront pension house, and we were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery in our place. I will surely book again next time I visit El Nido. They also offered Island tours when we were there and easily booked on the following day. We didn't have any problem as well leaving our luggage at their reception after we checked out at their place.

I was not particularly satisfied with my stay here and it’s frustrating, as I so wanted it to be wonderful. I fully accept that it is a budget hotel and I was not expecting luxury but over all I feel it was a disappointment.
To go through the positives and there are some good aspects. The location is superb and you are a short walk to all the bars, shops and restaurants and that’s great. I made use of a great little gym just a few doors away and that was simply awesome. And the fact you are right on the beach is great. The staff were lovely and for sure you get the full Filipino friendly service and no complaints there. They were helpful regards booking trips and answered all questions whether it be trips/beaches/travel/return ferry and so forth. The breakfast was good, tasty and sufficient and each morning I loved chatting with the fun cooks. All great company for sure. Endless tea on tap, which makes me happy, and I loved the company of the friendly staff.
So what makes the experience a disappointment? Well I feel the state of the accommodation was very poor. I was over the road and not in the beach-facing block. This I knew before I arrived and was prepared for it. The view was not great but of course it’s not their fault there was a building site both sides. That’s just the timing and I can live with that. But I felt the state of the room was extremely poor and run down. I feel there was limited effort to really make this room cosy and pretty. It was stark and limited. It looked like they had not bothered at all to make it habitable and attractive. I honestly feel it does not take much expense to create a more inviting space with a few basic items to give it character and charm. It was pretty soulless and drab and I was surprised at the state if it. To fly all that way and end up in such a sad depressing room was frustrating. It felt that they didn’t take pride and were essentially lazy regards the room and thus the enjoyment of the client. I would strongly recommend they look at a way to turn the rooms around with some love and attention and make a necessary investment.

We stayed for 5 nights at Rosanna's pension in the non-beach front rooms. One of the rooms was in the main building and the other at the building just across the road. The first room was a little bit small, but we had a nice terrace and hot water, working air conditioning and internet all the time. The second room was very spacious and pleasent. The hotel is located at the main street but a little far away from the bars and restaurants so it is away from the music and noise. The rooms may become a little noisy in the morning, because of the many tricycles. We checked the beachfront rooms which seemed quite big and with a really nice view. For breakfast there's a permanent menu with 3choises and another 2 options that are changed daily. You should order the previous evening. You can have coffee, tea and juice in the dining room. You can also order the breakfast in your room. The staff is pleasent and helpful. We booked tour A, B, C with them. The location of the hotel is just on the beach and very convenient for the tours. Tour C started in front of the hotel. The other two a little bit further within a walking distance. It's not a luxury place, but a good and convenient one.

Basic and simple accommodation with great location. Located in the El Nido Bay/town easy access to much of the restaurants, cafes and bars. Most especially to the jump off point for island tour. Amazing view from the balcony if you booked ocean view/front rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They serve simple breakfast selections of filipino & international options. Nice breakfast area facing the beach. Just to keep in mind this is a budget friendly accommodation and amenities are minimum. However, you can just purchase from the convenient stores located nearby.

As far as I know, there are no hotels in El
Nido town that has its own swimming pool. But there are pools in hotels situated outside of the town. But generally (here in the Philippines), guests from other hotels are not allowed to use the swimming pool and other amenities of a hotel. That’s basically for security purposes.
