For those who know that you are going to an almost deserted island and that you will sleep in huts, this is a dream place.
The conditions are basic but enough to feel comfortable. we have to be aware that we can live with some, little animals, but we are the invaders.
It is being in almost total direct contact with nature, especially at night, with its characteristic sounds.
The meals were always pleasant, without any refinement but tasty.
The beds have mosquito nets, but some have small holes, which still causes concern about mosquito bites.
The staff were always very helpful and friendly.
This accommodation receives volunteers to help in some services, while we were there were 2 Spanish boys who were later replaced by a couple of young Germans.
Off the beach, there is a small shipwreck and numerous corals that can be visited by swimming directly from the beach.
There is a well from which the water is removed for freshwater baths and bathroom use.
Because of the typhoon that hit the island, the owners decided to build a wall to protect the huts from the erosion of sand from the beach.
We hope the climatic changes don't affect much more this paradise.

This place is just breathtaking. Staff are amazing. Food is good. It may be almost glamping but it’s heaven. First you are contacted before, to arrange a transfer to the island. (Warning, they don’t tell you the price, so just ask. It’s not expensive, but just know, it’s not free) You are greeted with the kindest, warmest welcome and a free drink to boot! Shown to your hut and around, so you can find the toilets.
The ship wreck is a short swim from the beach and is simply stunning. Ships come to see it on tours and so it is always east to pinpoint where it is. When they leave, you can be alone to see the beauty of the corals and fish. Clown fish and anemone are also close to shore and I found 3, in quite close proximity to each other. The water is pretty clear.
Food is served at specific times and is very good. Although the buffer style dinner, if you’re vegan, you won’t like much. I’m sure they could easily cater to you.
At present, the generator keeps cutting out, so overnight, if u need cool from a fan, it’s not happening. I didn’t have a fan on at any point and in all honestly, didn’t need it.
The night sky is breathtaking. The Milky Way was clearly visible on my few nights there.
I wanted to stay longer but had already booked forward flights.
The other locations you can get on Darocotan may be nicer I don’t know? All I know is, the main attraction (shipwreck) is on Isla’s doorstep.
I will be going back and taking my kids. I travelled alone this time. And next time, I’m staying way longer!!
Thank you Isla and the whole team🥰🥰

A perfect getaway! We went there for two nights and enjoyed every minute of the experience!

There are beautiful snorkling opportunities, awesome beaches, hammocks and sunbeds for relaxing.

The people working in this amazing place are clearly loving this place as they are allways happy, friendly and smiling.

They also do offer cooking class, tours and diving. And the food was Great!

I will be back!

Stayed here with friends for two nights after visiting other areas of El Nido and we were undoubtedly speechless when we arrived by the natural beauty and isolation of the island. This place really is the true escape from the real world. Matt and Dean were both excellent in making us feel welcome and showing us around the island - it is clear to see they have really worked hard to make this a welcoming place for visitors. I would 100% recommend if you're looking for an adventure like no other, being at one with nature and seeing absolute beauty at its finest.

Where to start! We left the island 3 days ago and I think I've become a self-appointed rep since then. We haven't stopped talking about how amazing our experience was here to anyone who will listen! From the minute we arrived Harry and Harriet made us feel like friends not just guests. Our days were spent chilling in hammocks, snorkeling at a shipwreck, playing with dogs & pigs and eating the best food we've had since we got to the philipinnes! Our nights were spent drinking rum and playing games with some of the best people you could ever meet. We only spent 2 nights here and would have extended if we hadn't had tickets booked for somewhere else. It took all of our strength to leave and I'm still not sure we made the right decision. Go here, you will fall in love with the place! Thanks guys for an unforgettable experience!!!!

From the moment we set foot on Isla Experience, we were swept away by a feeling of serenity and warmth. Our four-day stay on this remote, idyllic island in the Philippines was nothing short of extraordinary! We arrived expecting a beautiful holiday destination, but we left with memories of a home away from home.

Our accommodation, the bamboo huts on the beach, added to the authenticity of our island experience. Waking up to the sound of lapping waves and the cool sea breeze was truly magical. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to reconnect with nature. The huts are very basic from the inside, so really expect an Island experience. The goal is not to be a luxury resort!

Despite the weather not being in our favor, the atmosphere was great thanks to the incredible staff. Their ceaseless efforts to entertain us and make our stay enjoyable were heartwarming. Every night was a celebration with karaoke sessions and bonfires under the star-lit sky, it really sets the stage for a memorable island experience.

Let me take a moment to appreciate the amazing team that made our stay truly remarkable. Elmara, Josua, Denmark and Hennel went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their jovial nature and dedication to service were the highlights of our day. Together with the amazing volunteers Marc and Marlene, but sadly this is not a constant factor on the Isla. And then we have our rapper and fire dancer Mikki who has a real way of getting al the guests together and making it an unforgettable experience with his rapping, singing and firedances. You made us feel like part of the Isla family.

Thank you for making this an unforgettable experience!

Should we say anymore? We cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you guys, we’ll miss you! 🧡 Isla

This has got to be the best experience i have ever had. How anyone can rate it lower than a 5 star would be beyond me. Views - perfect. Huts - perfect. Island - perfect. Shipwreck - perfect. Food - perfect. Staff - Perfect. Pigs - perfect. As you can see everything was perfect, feeding the pigs was such a cool experience. Seeing all the fish at the shipwreck was a amazing experience. Oh i got stung by a jellyfish too - according to the team on the island, first person that they know to be stung. So yay me :) If your debating staying here dont. BOOK IT NOW!!!

Great experience and excellent organization. Very punctual in receiving customers and collecting the vehicle, as well as kind and knowledgeable staff in explaining how to use the moped. Fun with friends. Absolutely worth repeating.

A very primitive island. A very unique thatched house, as beautiful as the photo! The clean environment made me, who is afraid of insects, feel at ease to spend two beautiful nights here.
Sunrise, snorkeling by boat, snorkeling at shipwreck sites (no need to take a boat), sunset yoga, night music, group exchange activities, stargazing at night, and falling asleep listening to the sea breeze and the sound of waves. Cleansing of the soul. If you’re looking for a unique itinerary, don’t miss it!
