Perfect place. Staff were amazing and really helpful & friendly. Rooms were clean, cool & comfortable. Pool was lovely to bob about in. Breakfast is decent. Great Italian food and reasonably priced. A few minutes walk from beach. Top notch well done guys.

I am currently staying at the resort ; I made the mistake of booking 7 nights as I would have left earlier if possible, it’s a nice resort bit old and dated the staff are very nice , but we are paying £199 per night to stay here I realise it’s Christmas but to ask for a extra towel for my room to be told I have to pay 100 php is disgusting, the breakfast is not very good no disrespect to the chef it’s the choice the continental is meant to be pastries I’ve been here for 3days and not had one yet they’ve ran out ; as for drinks you can have juice or coffee if you have both they charge you for 1 . I have been travelling for the last 3months and this has to be the most expensive with the least to offer yet .

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this superb resort hotel. The only negative thing to say was that Moringa Resort was so good we were genuinely very sad to leave. The room was clean spacious and VERY comfortable. Ideally located just a few steps from the pool and restaurant. But this tells only half the story. The staff were simply wonderful. Example - we arrived very early in the day due to our flight schedule. Not only did they allow us to store our luggage until the official check-in time as many others do, but they went out of thier way to ensure pur room was prepped first allowing us to check in several hours early and at no extra cost. Nothing was too much trouble for the fantastic staff, and the friendly greetings at every encounter were filled with warmth and sincerity and not a distant corporate veneer. We were fortunate enough to meet the teally nice owner on our final day there...and we were not slow to share our opinion with him. When we return (which we most certainly will!) it will feel more like reacquainting ourselves with friends rather than hotel staff.

The resort offers van transport from Puerto Princesa airport to their resort. But the resort experience is to me isn't the best for the following reason. 1. The door of the room we booked was very hard and heavy to lock. 2. You have to call in resort attendants every day to change your guest supplies. 3. They don't have duplicate keys to their rooms when we asked them to make up the room while we were away. 4. Wifi is not fast and the key validity expires every day, you always have to ask for a new one. 5. No iron for your clothes. 6. No cellular reception inside the rooms.

I booked a one night stay for three deluxe patio rooms for my family from May 2-3, 2022 at the El Nido Moringa resort and this was followed by another booking for a three night stay in their sister company, the El Nido Coco resort from May 3-6, 2022. Since we were out on an island hopping tour on the day of May 3, I asked El Nido moringa staff if they could kindly transfer our bags to El Nido Coco resort as we won’t be in town during check in and check out hours. They graciously agreed to my request. On May 4 however, I found out that I left my jacket in the El Nido moringa resorts closet. I found out at the same time that my niece also left her jacket in the same spot. I had asked for them to kindly please give it back to me and they said they were going to find out where it is and would let me know of an update. Me and my sister went to the Almeda Coco front desk multiple times that day, May 4 2022, in order to follow up on our missing items. Take note that it was the El Nido resort staff the transferred our things from Moringa to Coco. Since the breakfast Daly was served at moringa, I had a chance to follow up again on the morning of May 5 and at this point they had told me that their housekeeping team did not see any other jackets there. I found this impossible as I walked in to the resort on May 2 with a jacket, and so did my niece. I asked that they please investigate on the issue. They said they would. On the night of May 5, I again followed up with the front desk at Coco resort, and they could not help me once again. I spoke with their manager during check out on May 6, and brought up my concern regarding the issue. As the incident happened on our second day in Palawan, it was very frustrating that they could not locate it when in fact we were all still there in the vicinity of the resort. With made it worse was that their staff were the ones who moved our items from Moringa to Coco.I feel like the investigation could have been done better, and that there should have been a better recording of housekeeping duties on moringa’s end. The staff made it sound like I and my niece walked in without a jacket at all. This was extremely disappointing. This made me not trust the hotel along with all its employees. If it’s a simple jacket like mine and my nieces could be lost or stolen this way, then how much more for other even more valuable items? If it has happened to me, then it will happen to other guests, that I am sure off. Also, the wifi in both hotels need improvement. It barely worked for our group. I honestly would not want to check back in to this hotel/resort.

My partner and my family booked two night stay and it was a very nice experience from beginning until the end. This resort had all the amenities: Air conditioned rooms, TV, Wi-Fi, a clean swimming pool, and a restaurant with a full bar. The resort made our Palawan beach hopping tour for us when we booked our stay which was nice. The resort was conveniently located near the beach where we were to do our beach hopping tour. The restaurant had really good mixed drinks, and the breakfast and dinner food choices american and tradition filipino were all good and delicious. The restaurant employees went above and beyond the service they provided. The co-owner of the resort who also runs the restaurant was very pleasant and came out to us to ask how the food was and if we were enjoying our stay. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this resort.

We wanted to like this place, we really did. The staff are all super friendly and even helped us to get our s-passes approved. But once we arrived the problems started. We had numerous issues with our bathroom (including coming home to a giant flood and a wooden panel falling onto the floor) so we had to switch rooms. We were willing to overlook this but then on night three of our stay we arrived home to a big party outside our room. Apparently the hotel management thought it was a good idea to rent out their space for parties and tonight was our lucky night to be part of the action. The party had a deejay and dancers and the noise reverberated inside our room. It was like trying to go to sleep in the middle of a club. Breakfast - SLOW is the word. The restaurant at Moringa is closed so you can choose to have your breakfast delivered to the hotel directly or go to the Coco Resort which is next door. We decided to go to the Coco Resort and arrived at breakfast at 7:45 but weren’t able to attract anyone’s attention until after 8 when food was already coming out for other people. We’re not sure how they got their food so fast. We didn’t get our food until 8:45. It arrived cold so it had been sitting around for a while until someone decided to bring it out to us. People who arrived after us had ordered, eaten, and left before we got our food. Coffee and hot water for tea came after our food arrived. One positive is that they made me a vegan breakfast with rice and veggies. Everyone else in our group had very simple breakfasts with eggs, bacon, and bread so we weren’t sure why it took so long. Wifi has two speeds, slow and totally non-functional. In the mornings you can browse webpages and download small things like ebooks but that is not possible in the afternoon and evenings. There is one bar 3g cell service for Globe and minimal service for Smart. We were supposed to stay here for 5 days but we left after 3. We came with 3 other couples and it made communication difficult. The staff was apologetic for all the issues but we can’t recommend this place.

Response from Max El Nido, Propriétaire at EL Nido Moringa Resort
Responded 30 Dec 2021
First of all, I really want to apologize for all the problems that have happened to you. The mega typhoon which devastated many places in the Philippines cutting communications, water, electricity did not spare Palawan, and this on December 17, 2021, just before your arrival. We can be autonomous in electricity and water but unfortunately not communications, and which remained erratic for several days. We were also very solicited by the repair of some infrastructure. Several towns on the island were destroyed. Affecting staff availability. The kitchen at the Moringa Resort was also impractical for 5 days, forcing us to prepare breakfast and yours at our neighboring sister hotel. The exceptional delay of one of your breakfast is explained by the purchase of vegetables to meet your unforeseen demand. The staff wanted to please you but do not always have a good idea of the preparation times. And to end with the party, big mistake on my part to have authorized this. We found ourselves constrained then totally overwhelmed by events until 10pm when we cut the music and then finish evacuating the people at 11pm. It is now out of the question for something like this to happen again. I feel so sorry and sad to have inflicted this to everyone, I also made several refunds related to this noisy start of the night. Today everything is back to normal. A thousand apologies for your unfortunate experience, I will be delighted to see you again in our establishment and offer you the best of your stay. All my wishes for this new year which begins. Max (co-owner)

The Moringa hotel is recent and has good equipment: Wi-Fi, King size bed, silent air conditioning, TV, fridge, kettle, safe, large Italian shower and hairdryer. Large balcony and the pool is amazing and clean. They no longer use plastic bottles but a nice glass bottle filled with purified water daily, which is very important to me! Good price for this quality in El Nido.

We had a relaxing stay at the Moringa Resort, the rooms are large and comfortable with a king size bed. I absolutely loved the view of the pool from the bedroom. The wifi worked well. The staff are nice and the breakfast is excellent. 2 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from El Nido town. You can book your island tours and van transfer with reception staff. We highly recommend this place!!
