I spent 3 nights in the hive & wasn't at all impressed. The beach & sand was full of rubbish that had been washed up. Unlike other places, I never saw anyone cleaning the beach, so the rubbish got worse each day. Bottles, plastic wrappers littered the entire length of beach. With nothing else to do but swim, having the dirty beach was so disappointing. Save your money & chose another place to stay.
I decided to spoil my mother and myself by choosing Dryft instead of one of the other isolated luxurious resorts around El nido! My god did I make the best choice!! Besides the location of this island and the position of Dryft on the actual island, if you not careful you will never leave because it is so so insanely beautiful! You have everything you need here! I stayed in one of the Hives and besides it being by far one of the best instagram-able features, the absolute luxury of being able to wake up and hear and see the waves crushing on the shore from your door is No:1 for me! I have to mention the service was exceptional! The co-owner faith organized a boat transfer earlier than usual for my mom and I just so we could get to the island faster! We were greeted and assisted from our boat with smiles and fresh coconut water. We got sunscreen when asked (we all know it’s the small things that make a customers experience better) the food was incredible- wish I remember the names of our dishes! And I would like to leave the best for last! The vibe the absolute vibe was energizing but relaxing at the same time! The people was what made my mom and my experience from great to exceptional! The people that work at this location are INCREDIBLE! Thank You! …
Spent a week in this island and it was the most relaxing vacation. You can just snorkel in front of the resort or walk 10 minutes to the other side of the island. We sleep and wake up with the music of the waves. They have superb chefs who prepare healthy, yummy meals. The staff were accommodating and nice. It’s not crowded so it felt like our own private island.
Excellent accommodation for a chill, relaxing island holiday. Beautiful beaches, creative wooden structure at the center to explore with hammocks, swings and reading nooks with ocean views. Loved the yoga classes with the sunset and the sound of waves crashing in the distance. The tents were spacious and everything you need for a comfortable nights rest. The food was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend!!
Dryft Camp is the best thing you can book for your vacation. We would definitely come back any time soon! We stayed in the tents and 3 extra nights in the Hives. The bed in the tent as well as in the hives is very very comfortable. The food is pricier than in other Philippino places, BUT we have never eaten better in our lives and the food makes the experience in Dryft Camp even better. The staff is super nice and willing to help you with every problem at any time! Everyone working there really lives for the vibe the camp represents. Never stayed at a hotel with „shared“ bathrooms, but that’s the island life and we were ok with it and the staff also puts shower gel and shampoo complimentary in the shower. We will be back soon!
1. Location - Main reason why I booked Dryft is that it’s nearby El Nido but still provides the rare perks of being on a private island. If sleeping with the sound of waves and the amazing view of the starry night sky are top items in your bucket list then spending minimum 2 nights here will be perfect. Having no wifi also gives me no excuse to not enjoy being with nature and interacting with the Dryft team and other guests. It’s a great place to connect with people who have the same love for the simple and quiet island life. One word to describe it: MAGICAL ❤️ 2. Food - Chef Rudy and his team makes the most delicious meals! The fact that it changes everyday based on the availability of fresh ingredients makes it even more special. You can really see and taste the love that goes into each dish. My favorite was the Japanese themed night on my 2nd night where they served fresh tuna that was just unforgettable! Also enjoyed trying out the refreshing cocktails named after Filipino mythical creatures like Kapre, Tikbalang and Diwata! 3. Service - The Dryft team runs the place and although they’re a pretty lean team, they do a great job in giving personalized service. They take time to get to know the guests and take care of their needs. I was a solo traveller but it felt like I travelled with friends! Faith, Bryan, Jay and Cris are awesome people and getting to spend time with them was another highlight of my stay on the island. 4. Amenities - I was able to try both the glamping tent and the hive hut. Topping up to get the hut will be worth it because it’s spacious and more airy than the tent. However, if you want the full glamping experience, the tent still gave me a very good night’s rest! The bed was comfortable and they provided clean sheets and pillows. There are shared shower rooms and toilets, which were well maintained and always smelled fresh. The 3-storey bamboo restaurant/chill hall provided a quiet sanctuary during the day. There are loads of books and board games (and chill beach music) to surround yourself with plus 2 adorable cats, Alpha and Delta! All in all, my stay in Dryft has made it to one of my top highlights in my solo travels. The charm of being on a private island doing nothing but emptying your mind and filling it with new happy memories is just something you can’t get easily anywhere else.…
I stayed at Dryft for a week with my husband and loved it. (Highly recommend staying more than three days if you really want to unplug and relax). Rudy is the best cook, you can really tell that he puts love into his food and doesn’t cut any corners because the plates come out really flavourful. The menu is always changing based on ingredients and what’s in season. Also the co-owner Faith is such a nice person. She definitely makes you feel welcome. Overall, the private beach and whole island vibe really allows you to unwind and feel present. It’s really laid back and the place is built by a group of artists and artisans. The only thing I wish is that the staff had better lodging but it seems like they are working on that.
The best place to visit if you want to unplug and be away from the toxic energy of the city. Their staff are very accommodating, too. Faith really took care of us from our van and boat transfers to our meals, making sure that we get the best island experience. Food was great and their pillows, oh gosh, I wanted to take them home. It was a different level of glamping. Definitely worth the price! Will surely go back to try their new hive rooms which look best at night!
Stayed there for 3 nights and it was a true paradise on earth. It's the most beautiful camp located right on the beach, you sleep in an elevated tent and fall and wake to the sound of waves! Loved their 'treehouse' with lots of space to chill, read a book, or play board games. There's no WiFi and thank god, making it the perfect place to disconnect and relax. Go seashell picking, snorkelling, swimming, sunbathing or exploring the island! The food was delicious and the menu changed every day.
What an incredible experience it was! Being away from al the hectic around you is great, but the kindness of the staff was even better! We loves every moment of it. We stayed for 2 nights what we think is perfect! Great food great places for snorkling. We loved it! Mark & Cassy
