Seda Lio was our first stop of three locations in our travel to the Philippines. Because of the month we were traveling we ran into some poor weather which changed our travel plans and grounded us at Seda Lio for an additinal four days. While we were disappointed in our change in travel, we felt lucky to have spent those landlocked days at Seda. Find our full review below. Accommodation: We loved our room which was had with two beds and a small patio space, which was really nice on the endless rainy days. The air conditioner worked really well and kept us cool on the warm days as well. Shower pressure and heat were also great. There were some inconsistencies in the timing on room turnovers. We were never sure when our room would be cleaned and it ranged anywhere between 11 am and 6 pm daily. With all the rainy days we also longed for some in room relaxation, but were disappointed that the tv had limited available channels, and was not compatible with our tv sticks. Staff: we were VERY impressed with the staff at Seda. From the front office, security, dining, and the beach everyone was friendly and willing to help with whatever was needed. Despite weather troubles and frustrated guests, the front office was patient, calm, and provided good suggestions about activities to do on both land and sea. Special shout out goes to Jayson, Saunders, and Mylene who set us up with a beautiful beachfront dinner for two at sunset. Also be sure to stop and see Eddy down at the beach for a coconut hat! Food: Daily morning breakfast was amazing. The buffet had such a large variety that touched on traditional breakfast cuisine from all over the globe. Breakfast also features a made-to-order egg station and coffee station. Overall breakfast was delightful. By comparison, the dinner a la carte menu was somewhat limited. We did notice a daily dinner buffet set up, but ended up taking the short 5-8 minute walk down Lio beach to the vast variety of restaurants located just down the way. Seda will also provide a shuttle to this area if the weather is poor. Grounds & Activities: the Seda Lio grounds include multiple pools, a pool bar, a beach bar, private beach, along with private waterplay activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding. There is also an indoor gym and indoor activity space with ping pong and videogames. The hotel is also located near a really nice short walk inland that has a jungle hike and opportunities to kayak in a small mangrove forest. The private beach has soft smooth sands and calm waters. If you're interested in off shore activities, the front desk will hook you up with reputable tour companies such as Palawania and SeNoRita. Both companies gave us memorable tours with knowledgable guides. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at Seda Lio despite the weather challenges we faced in midJuly. We would recommend to anyone looking to stay out of town and in their own little slice of paradise.

A 5 year old hotel that is very well maintained and has a friendly helpful staff. During the day most guests go on off premises tours so it is rather quiet then While hotel restaurant is OK, several small restaurants are also a 10 minute walk away along nice beach 2 issues hotel should address - Wi-Fi is clearly promised but is inconsistent over time and depending on place, especially when everyone is around early morning and afternoon. Was repeatedly disconnected and had to reconnect yet other times even YouTube worked - Beautiful large pool (actually 3 adjacent ones) has clear water BUT lots of floating debris and traces of oil films on surface. Suspect filter system no working well

We stayed at Sedo Lio for a wedding and it was a great place for a family get together. Easy shuttle to and from airport, good food. We had a very beautiful suite! They will also shuttle you into town and island hopping boats pick you up right on the beach.

Gorgeous Lio beach is a private development that includes several hotels, shops and restaurants. Secure, secluded, with no hawkers, no trash, no day-trippers. Absolutely gorgeous, day and night. The Seda hotel itself is a rather typical corporate style group of buildings set around a large, beautiful pool area, and well kept beach. TO IMPROVE: The food quality and choices were not good for any meal. Luckily there are nearly a dozen restaurants nearby. Staff are are hardworking and always busy, but seem rushed and forgetful, which suggests they need better management and training. The beach has a "nik-nik" warning (sand fleas that leave nasty bites) so my biggest gripe is that the pool only has 6 cabanas and 3 umbrellas - for 150 rooms! Staff allows people to "save" pool seats for hours without even showing up. This is a very old-fashioned and lazy management style, which is unfair to the majority of guests. Staff also did not enforce the promoted "adults only pool" segregation. But otherwise, I strongly recommend this place.

Wouldn’t stay here. Staff steal from your room during housekeeping and laundry service visits. $70k JPY and NZD stolen from hidden areas in our room. No help from staff. Empty promises have had to lodge with Department of Tourism for action. 5 star location. Food and service reflection of 1 star.

Seda Lio is 5 mins max by car from the airport, and is definitely a beautiful looking resort.. It is about 15 mins on a tricycle to El Nido town, so may deter some people right away, but because we were staying down that end for a few days as well it wasn't an issue for us.. The Lobby area, the room itself and the gym were all nice, the breakfast area a little chaotic. The breakfast buffet itself was average at best, and in no way resembles a 5 star resort. Food is not replenished quickly enough, and options were limited.. The pool itself was nice, a little on the warm side, but there was a hell of a lot of leaves etc floating in there, so definitely needs a bit more attention cleaning wise.. Housekeeping i feel is understaffed, if you are out of the room at 7:30am and come back at 3pm or so, you definitely expect the room to be done, but that wasn't the case on our first day staying at this hotel.. The area itself, we quite liked, alot of restaurants about a 5 min walk along the beach and an area that was relaxing and not overly crowded.. Seda Lio all in all is a nice hotel, looks great, but definitely has some room to improve..

As we were not familiar with El Nido, we selected this hotel based on other reviewers. We were thrilled with the location, the facilities, and the staff. Located on Lio Beach, this hotel is about a 20-minute tricycle ride to the city. There are other properties within walking distance down the beach as well as several restaurants and a drug store. The staff were extremely friendly with everyone greeting you from the housekeeping to the maintenance staff. The room was a good size with a nice couch and table on the balcony and a comfortable bed. There were water dispensers around the resort and the gym was well equipped and clean. The pool and beach were lovely. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay.

This was the best experience on our 3 week roundtrip in the Philippines . Everything was clean and there was a lot of space on the beautiful beach and at the pool area. Very good food and no lines. Most of all, a very nice staff, did a perfect job. Looking forward to the next visit🌞
