I understand why reviews of this hotel are so mixed. I first stayed in the newer part - a beautiful room on the 3rd floor, overlooking the beach. The room was clean, new and sparkling. There was a modern key card lock system, a fabulous bathroom and great views. Then, I was transferred to a room in the older section. Here, the bathroom had only a hand held shower head, the grout was discolored and the water didn't drain well, leaving me standing in a puddle while using the sink. The wood furniture and floor was scuffed and worn. The door lock used a key and was a bit flimsy. That said, it had a balcony overlooking the beach that offered the same great views. Avoid the first floor, as others have said, because people walk by on the way to breakfast and there is little privacy. El Nido beach is very busy, with walkers, vendors, even motorcycles, so be sure to get a higher floor. …
We stayed here for three nights in Dec 2022 and it wasn’t worth the money. The safety box was broken, fire detector was missing, the balcony door was hard to open and close. They asked if they could clean the room but they didn’t. One positive thing was the location - a bit from town centre so it was quiet at night.
The hotel rooms condition are dilapidated, we got many bug bites during our 3 nights stay. The hotel do not served breakfast. The hotel location is quite near to the port of El Nido. The beach front is okay but the beach is not nice so many pump boats. The hotel staffs are quite friendly and honest. I dropped 100 pesos and the staff returned it to me.
First of all there is no option for an airport pickup. There are no taxis or extra vans. We called the hotel and they sent a tricycle at a cost of 300 pesos. There are two of us with our luggage so we needed two. 600 pesos to get to the hotel. We came in on Air Swift. The only flights were in the morning. 6:10 6:45 and 7 something. The flight was great. However, when we arrived they still needed to prepare the room. We took a walk, had breakfast, did some shopping and returned to the hotel. We were told that the manager would not let us have our room because check in is at 12:00. Okay, understandable. They didn’t offer water, coffee or anything. After sitting for a while I decided I was too tired to sit on the porch any longer so I asked to just be refunded. We have 5 nights booked. The manager said no refund- check before you buy- but they did let us have the room that was ready. There is no “free breakfast” as there is no restaurant anymore. We booked for my birthday and NewYears so we will make the best of it. However, I suggest they clean the place up, get a new owner/ manager. I understand there is a pandemic - but if you can open , treat the guest with kindness as we are helping you keep a business. On our first day there was water provided, as most do. No coffee maker and no restaurant at the hotel. Water was not provided any of the other days. Internet was really bad.…
This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. The rooms are extremely basic and shabby, the bathrooms stink, the breakfast is a pathetic offering, rooms at the front are plagued by traffic noise all night and rooms facing the beach are only marginally better. Arriving at the hotel is not as imagined - the reception desk is directly on the road and a sign advising you that the waste water system has been shut down due to violations of the public health regulations isn’t the best start to a holiday. That, and finding that the hotel does not have the rooms you booked. Add to that the fact that the hotel reception operated without a land line phone and there is never a manager on site. Take my advice and stay somewhere else to avoid a huge disappointment. We had to move to a different hotel after 3 days because it was intolerable to stay any longer. Horrendous!!!…
Stayed here 4 nights in a deluxe sea view room on the ground floor. Hotel is more like a motel, small room feels tired with worn out towels, no comforter on bed just a sheet (it's ok because you don't really need one), cramped and dimly lit bathroom. Heavy wooden furniture in room and patio uncomfortable and not made for relaxing so you definitely don't want to hang around your room for long. The hotel fronts a public beach so vendors often walk by touting their goods. Since our room was ground level other guests and the security guard were always walking back and forth on the outside hall which was outside our room so no feeling of privacy with our curtains drawn. Upper floors are probably better. Walls are thin, you hear everything...people talking upstairs, outside, even the 24 hr security guard I can hear talking and laughing at around 4-5 am. You literally hear the area coming to life very early in the morning. What was good were the views, the included breakfast, air con worked, the staff, and it was close to town.…
Stayed here for 3 nights. Location on edge of town yet still very near shops and restaurants. Quieter here rather than in centre of town. Room on 2nd floor with balcony overlooking the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, clean, air conditioning, toiletries, WiFi, very happy with my stay here.
The views from second floor rooms DO NOT disappoint. We had two rooms next to each other and stayed 3-nights. Balconies are large, ocean waves drown out the street noise- you can leave windows open and pull down screen shade (although the other room screen was broken!) traffic and street noise died down by 11pm. Breakfast Buffet in the morning is quite good; served downstairs with ocean views. Front Desk is available almost 24-7! They are extremely helpful and go out of their way to accommodate. The rooms: internet connection good; clean sheets & beds, safes for valuables operational, bathroom facilities could use improvements- but not nearly as horrifying as others described. Generally, it’s plain to see that el nido is dealing with water & plumbing efficiencies so it’s not unique to this hotel. This place is priced right for the hotel amenities which is good but could be excellent! However, if they did elevate the provisions, then price range would change. Overall, the views, breakfast, service- special nod to the gentleman at front desk who booked me a last minute ferry ticket to Coron! Sorry can’t remember his name but it was I talked to him late Sunday evening & he booked me a ticket the next day, had my ticket at front desk waiting before heading to the ferry! Now that’s going the extra mile! if you are going crazy deciding, because it might be a once in a lifetime visit & cringing prior reviews have you doubting, I recommend this place for the budget traveler looking for clean rooms with amazing views, professional staff & good breakfast.…
Does this hotel need work? Yes. Does it generally feel tired? Yes. Could use new towels, bathroom remodel etc. However, the helpful and friendly staff, big beach views/soothing crashing of waves at night and walking distance to town made this hotel for me. Hot shower and good water pressure (although, yes, at times it was not consistent), nice breakfast (fresh fruit, pancakes, rice, fish, egg, coffee, juice). Great spot to launch off on an island hoping tour, or stroll to dinner.
DO NOT STAY HERE. DIRTY ROOM AND NASTY BATHROOM. Dirty room, smelly water and gross bathroom. Definitely not 3 stars. More of a motel quality 1-STARS. Had multiple water and electricity outages throughout my stay. The hotel would lie and said last time and everything is fixed but then outages again next day. Air conditioning went out multiple times in the middle of the night. No water for showers throughout the day. Breakfast was minimal and not edible. 50 pesos for each beach towels. WiFi is slow, frequent on and off. Bathroom stinks and has moles. Towels were yellow colored. Bed sheets have stains and holes. Switched room and still the same. Had to check out early. Don't believe all the positive reviews.
