Initially I was hesitant to speak up due to the help the resort provided to my mom by preparing the oxygen tank. However, after many shortcomings, I think I need to speak up so that other travellers will be aware of what is the issue with this hotel First, we are supposed to be booked on April 9 to 13. We are initially informed that the pencil booking already is ok at the email. But we are "FORCED" to rebook 1 week after our scheduled booking due to "safety issue" to their preferred date when we already informed them 2 to 3 weeks prior. We were answered with high tone from the manager from a phone call. As a compensation, we were given a discount of only 500 pesos per night and given additional special food in our first day dinner wherein we paid 1200 per head for the buffet. Second, upon arrival we expect the hotel's location to be at the nearer side of the transfer. I specifically informed the admin that we have a senior citizen who is having difficulty in walking and needs wheelchair and asked them if it will be hard to transport her. I was informed that it will be OK since there will be staff who is going to carry my mom to the hotel. I was shocked upon arrival that we have to transport our mom approximately around 1km to 2 km walk from the transport area. I didn't expect this to be far. If I was informed beforehand I shouldnt have book this hotel. Moreover, we were put in a rm 2 when rm 1 is nearer. It has 3 steps, stone walk, and another 5 to 6 steps before the rooms door so I'm wondering how is this senior friendly. Third, upon arrival at the hotel, we were asking for service water but we were informed that there is no service water, only bottled water upon request and one of them was even charged to us at a high rate (80 pesos for 1 liter of nature spring). Inside the hotel room, you would expect toiletries being provided since you pay almost 5k a day for an accommodation but the toiletries are incomplete (no toothpaste, no toothbrush) only bath soap and bath shampoo and rolled tissue. The toiletries had to be repeatedly requested again. Also there is no water heater, only cold shower. When we request for a kettle we were provided with a thermos for a hot bath. Also, there is no wifi as previously stated during our time as well. They did not also prepare the van so the accommodating staff need to book us another van from her known people which made us pay extra fees incurred upon our arrival in manila. The booking confrimation in agoda says it includes airport transfer. I was really hesitant to tell this review since some of their staffs are accommodating (especially the guys that helped bring my mom to the transport area and Ms. Anji who visits my mom often when we leave her alone in the room and helps my moms needs) but due to the call that I received here in Manila incurring extra charges, and mostly due to the unwanted treatment and mislooks in our stay, I need to speak up so that other travellers would also be aware I had visited El Nido prior but stayed in an inn in a town proper prior. I expect the price to be a bit high since the hotel was located in a slightly secluded area. However, never did I expect that the service provided in the previous inn was far better than this one given its cheaper price (with complete toiletries, with hot shower and towels) for only almost 2k a day Sayang because the area is really beautiful but we made a wrong hotel choice…
We saw this place in our recent trip to El Nido and decided to rent a kayak. They gave us a kayak but note did not get our names and we had to ask life vest just to be sure. On our way back our kayak got flooded and tipped over mid way back and we were still in deep waters. We were literally holding on to the kayak for dear life. Short of the story, good thing we were able to call our driver to go find a boat to rescue us. When we got back to land the "hotel manager" did not even seem concerned for what happened to us and instead was looking for the other paddle that we lost in the open water. Really HORRIBLE customer service. There are way better places in El Nido with way better caring staff.
We booked this place via their airbnb website almost 2 months before our trip. 20 days before our trip the host tells us that she can't accommodate us and basically was forcing us to adjust our booking. Turns out she has increased the rates and has made commitments to other guests who would pay a higher rate. Do not trust them with your bookings. They are untrustworthy and do not respect the commitments they make with their guests. She didn't even present us with an alternative.
Las cabanas is perfect for a family vacation. Staff are very accommodating, rooms are clean and all staff are very nice. Foods are good the whole resort is so refreshing. We stayed for 3 nights we are 14 pax we have senior, kids and PWD but everything was perfect. welcome drinks is very refreshing.
Stumbled upon this place when we walked to the end of the Maremegmeg Beach to watch the sunset. Had a beer but it was not cold enough, but good enough to get a seat while watching the sunset. Also had their vegetable tempura and spring rolls. Kinda pricey for what it was, they maybe pricing it as those of the better restaurants along the strip. The con was that while watching the sunset, we could hear the owner shouting at her staff for being incompetent, etc. It went on for the whole 45 minutes we were there. Poor staff.
I enjoyed my stay! Had a balcony with view of the sea, perfect place to unwind and de-stress. The staffs were very friendly and accommodating. Stunning sunset view, great for leisurely walk and or just chill in the beachfront bar.
This resort is located a good 10 minutes walking from the shopping complex at Vanilla beach. Lots of tricycles to get you back and forth (about 150 pesos). A few armed guards here, but also a McDonalds. The beach resort is located end of the beach and you can zip down to the platform across the water from the other side. The sunset view is great with light changing very quickly, which makes for great pictures. The resort itself is ok, sometimes very crowded. The rum and coke was heavy on the coke, with the slightest hint of rum. Food is ok, service is not particularly friendly. The chicken spring rolls were good even if there was no dipping sauce. The vegetable tempura was a thick layer of bread crumbs, not the light tempura you might expect. One of our travel companions ordered the vegetable spring rolls but got the tempura instead. Problem solved very quickly. Chicken curry was apparently very good. People in El Nido should work on their customer service skills, as in general they are not friendly and sometimes even rude. They should remember that with the Corona virus, the Chinese and Koreans have changed their travel plans, reason the more to keep the other tourists happy.…
A romantic place for couples. This restaurant will give you the best view of the Sunset in El Nido. Drinking your cocktail or fruit shake whilst waiting for the sun to come down is the best way to end the night.
Perfect for sunset session, chilling by the beachfront bar, watching the sun goes down with a bottle of cold beer in your hands. Best way to end the day! Make sure to hang out here when you're in El Nido. Definitely worth the try!
