That’s a no-go hotel! We spent 3 nights at this place but honestly can’t recommend as the rates are completely out of line with what you get. Even worse, it seems that they are harming the nature as the water from the tanks gets pipelined into the ocean. The smell from the tank at the pool is disgusting and destroys the nice surrounding. Things to improve: - Smell of tanks is pretty strong (they try to fix it through joss sticks, though working for a limited time) - Pool equipment is dirty and seems to be old - Staff is not well-trained and unobserving (they were playing with smartphones right next to us for an entire hour without even asking for drinks or anything) - Language barriers occurs and then staff misunderstand orders - Bar is not clean in the morning (used Glases standing at the bar) - Service: not asking for drinks (never!) - Complete no-Go is that you can’t swim in the ocean in front of the hotel —> then it’s not a private beach and not even a beach hotel - Breakfast: little options (higher expectations for that price) - Prices for extra options way too high (eG 2k for tours vs 1,2k at other providers) Positive - Hotel/Location is nice and cute - Rooms are clean - Front desk is nice and tries to help - Sunset is super nice, DJs play good music We complained about all those things and we were at least asked to share our feedback to the supervisor and manager. But honestly we just got the feeling that they wanted to know who did something wrong to blame him/her. As a compensation they paid us the shuttle service to the airport (which seemed a good deal for them comparing this to the overall price that we paid for the room). Also they were telling us different stories with this pipeline/waste water but all confirmed that it’s not advisable to swim in the ocean because of coli bacteria. All in all, way to expensive for what you get. There are definitely much better hotels for better rates. Even locals told us that the hotel was closed already because of this pipeline topic. …
The design of the property and the detail is good, simple and very nice concept. The concept of the hotel and restaurant/ bar is excellent very nice detail and wood decoration The property does have a relaxing feel, but the really unfortunate and really disappointing is the smell in the air everywhere at the property, especially the bathroom and the brown water coming from the taps is really disappointing and disgusting. We stayed in room 8 very nice simple concept room, nice design but this was ruined by the smell of raw sewage, poor water quality and poor hygiene of the bathroom which made the whole room stink. The restaurant and downstairs bar was great especially in the evenings for sunset and reasonably priced by western standards but expensive for El Nido. The locally employed staff are VERY VERY nice, knowledgeable and extremely helpful but they are covering up all the problems for the management. The Management no where to be seen and hide away. The smell of raw sewage, poor air quality made me and my partner very unwell for 2 days, one of our 3 days we spent in bed and hugging the toilet. We were very careful not to contaminate the dirty water with things and still got sick, the pollution in the air most likely the cause. Expensive stay for the many environmental issues we encountered with the airborne and water sewage problem.…
First of all don't believe any 5 star reviews for this place as they clearly have not stayed at this resort. Going to the bar should not include as part of the reviews as it gives the illusion this place is ok. On a positive note as this is the quickest bit 2 of the staff members went above and beyond when we had problems. Both jazz and goldus were excellent and they are a credit to a badly run resort. Only time we saw management was when we checked out and by that time I was fed up of complaining. So to begin with is the smell of sewage all around the communal area. If your unlucky to stay in room 8 then the smell is right outside your door and ends up going into room. We complained and asked to be moved. They told us we couldn't be moved but they would sort it out. My wife send a email to the management saying if we didn't get moved by the morning then a full refund is required. By morning they had moved us but hadn't fixed the smell. Looking at reviews here which I hadn't read the problem with sewer smell has been ongoing for years which is outrageous. As soon as you go through reception you smell it near the pool area and although not in new room it's still nasty. Pool is also pointless as so small and doesn't look clean. The Spanish restaurant that you go to for breakfast is a complete joke of a place. There is reason it's always empty overpriced and bad food. Overall don't waste your time coming here it doesn't deserve to be in business…
We were there a total of 9 nights and the experience we had here we have never experienced before. At a rate of over 200$ a night, this place is definitely NOT worth the price! Negative aspects: - The breakfast menu is short with only 5 items and no prices stated, nor can you see if the service charge is included or not. Each day you get to choose only one item per person, which no one tells you and it isn't stated anywhere. For some odd reason, 3 meals for 2 people were included one day, but the next day we were charged for the third (a price that isn't written anywhere, you're just forced to believe that that's the price and a high one at that!!) -Sometimes you pay a service fee of 10% and sometimes not. No one could explain to us why or when they charge you for it. -The hotel's restaurant was proudly shown to us upon arrival. Howewever, when we wanted to go for dinner (which we inquired about and the staff said it would open at 7pm) it was closed. No one, neither the staff nor reception could tell us when or if the restaurant would be open. -Supposedly it had a soft opening (something we found out 5 days later from the dive shop next door). The hotel's website didn't mention anything nor the staff. Why wouldn't anyone speak of this? But the room rates were the opposite of a soft opening, so probably that's why no one openly spoke of it. -When signing the receipts after dinner or drinks, it is a handwritten receipt without any prices, meaning they could add an arbitrary amount after signing. You had no way of controlling that. -There seems to be a new resort coming next door, where the construction started at 07:30am. Even on Christmas! -Furthermore, there was no wifi for our entire stay. The main line had been cut. Sure, not per se the hotel's fault but no solution was offered. Even the reception needed to be seated by the pool to use the neighbor's wifi! Since we had a lot of issues with the hotel, we had to contact Booking.com, as we refused to accept this as the customers staying there the longest and paying over 200$ a night! After a lot of back and forth they had cancelled our food bills of the first few days and they invited us for dinner. On the final bill we saw that only 1 dinner was free, the 2nd we had to pay and all the drinks. After we asked, they told us that the amounts were correct and only 1 steak was free. Even when we received the menu, the server told us WE were invited for dinner. Also, why should only one of us be invited? How does that make any sense? The management had ignored us the whole time and got out of our way as they are incapable of dealing with problems. Instead, the poor staff had to discuss with us, and their English was very limitef. We have never experienced such unqualified and incompetent management and we travel a lot. Positive aspects: - The employees were very kind, were however forced to make up for the management's mistakes. -The room service was great. -The food was okay, but not really worth the price. The room is nice and has lots of storage space. Conclusion: If you find an offer that is under 100 dollars and stay only 2-3 days and don't have high demands, then you can try it. Otherwise, we would NOT recommend going!! Would we come back? Definitely not!!…
On our honeymoon visit to El Nido we stayed 2 nights at the property. Absolutely loved the design of the place. Especially loved how the rooms have been designed! The bar/restaurant has a nice view. Ideal spot to enjoy sunset cocktails. The property accepted only cash for payment.
We had a wonderful stay at Panorama and would like to say a massive THANK YOU to the owners Nani and Pepso who went above and beyond to help us in the difficult coronavirus situation, they were able to accommodate us and made sure we feel safe, comfortable and relaxed. The resort is beautiful, refreshing pool with sunny loungers, pool bar and dining area. The room was well designed, good AC, beautiful bathroom, all the usual kettle, coffee, water. The bedding was white and crisp and the bed was comfortable. Beach club is beautiful with stunning sunsets every night and delicious cocktails. The staff are a gem at this resort, especially Aryana, always smiley and happy to help, everyone we came across with were polite, friendly and helpful, we couldn’t ask for more. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone, really comfortable, secluded and private with great staff and friendly owners. Thank you…
I have no idea how people staying here can give good review, other than the fact that they probably didn't notice the cease and desist order at the entrance of the hotel or their room didn't stink from the hotel illegally dumping their sewage into the bay. Before moving to this hotel, we stayed at the Frangipani close by, unfortunately they were booked the rest of our stay so we moved here. The host who checked us in was horrible at her job, very nonchalant and just didn't seem to care. She brought us to our room which STUNK, my husband and I had a horrible time sleeping as we kept waking up from the smell. It seriously smelled like a health hazard, we were in room 8. We complained, but nothing was done or addressed, thankfully we were out on a tour majority of the time so we decided to make the best of it and bought some fragrant candles from downtown to help with the smell. The hotel obviously knew about the smell because there were 4+ air fresheners in the room. The rooms are interesting and not at all cozy. This place is so far from the amazing hospitality that the Philippines is known for and can offer. Walking around the place stinks and you'll feel uncomfortable being in the water. The only positive is their beach bar area and the people who work there. It's a fun place to hangout and the people who were at the restaurant side are very friendly, but how can you honestly enjoy yourself at a place that has a cease and desist order for not preserving the beauty of the place it is in? All the hype of this place isn't worth it, do yourself a favor and have a real 5 star experience at Frangipani just down the way.…
One of the chicest, most charming boutique hotels not just in El Nido but in the entire Philippines. (+) The architecture of the rooms are truly special. The beach club is fabulous and the food is great. The private speed boat tour that they arranged for us was absolutely memorable in every way. I highly recommend this! A lot of other thoughtful details like the complimentary mini bar - simply unheard of for a 3 star boutique hotel. The incense used around the area to keep bugs away smelled good and so helpful (-) Very minor and don’t need to be dwelled on because we had a fab time!
Daybeds sundeck bar with incredible sunset view The food , drinks & dj is more than perfect A little pricey to get a daybed but it’s totally worthy Best place to watch the sunset In corong corong Simply amazing
We had lunch at panorama when we visited IL Nido town. We took a taxi from the town so it was around 10mins. The food was average and the bottles of rose were out. They need to reupholster their beds. A lot of ants on the beds too.
