Coron is a dusty noisy town. This homestay is about 5 -10 minute walk on edge of town away for the noise. Is really a small family run hotel rather than a homestay. Rooms small but super clean, staff super friendly and helpful in organising tours and transfers etc, a cheap but good breakfast available. Higher rooms on the northwest side away from road will be most quiet. Some small single rooms did not even have a window so check if these things important to you.

The staff were very friendly and were able to arrange everything for me including laundry airport shuttle, breakfast and daily tours. Great location, safe, clean and affordable. I would highly recommend to any solo travellers.

The most recommended stay in Coron. The staff are all amazing. The cleanliness of the place is great. They also have free coffee for guest and serve daily breakfast. They also have a hot and cold shower. All in all a 5 star place to relax in Coron

DO NOT STAY HERE !! CASH were STOLEN from our bags in our room by the staff while we were on tour that we booked with them. They knew we were out all day, we put '' do not disturb'' on our door and all the doors were locked, when we came back, we realised our cash ( pesos) were messy , my partner decided to count his AUD$ , $400 disapeared from his envelop and $300 from my wallet... Devasted. We knew exactly how much money we had. We went to see reception, of course did not believe us ( not even apoligize), so we reported to the police who came to check CCTV but of course, no CCTV at our floor... Thing is, it is not the 1st time they've done that, it can be unoticed like someone can think they just lost money while travelling : - everything was put back as it was ( wallet, envelope...) , doors were left locked, and they did not take ALL the cash so it is more '' discreet'', too bad, we are a young couple who budget their travel and we know how much cash we carry with us ( we did some change the day before in coron so knew exactly how much $ left in our own wallet). Of course we don't have any proof, but believe me , I have better things to do during my holidays than going to the police, don't move from my room because don't want to leave my stuff here and lost more time on internet sending email to booking to report and write mad reviews... Anyway, do not stay here!!!!…

Coming from a more affordable accomodation with complete amenities, we found this hotel a bit expensive for the value it gave. The first room we stayed in for one night was spacious and clean, but it's on the first floor near the lobby, so it's noisy especially with the guests eating, going out and about, and the staff talking loudly to each other almost endlessly. Because of the typhoon, the power was in and out, and during brownouts, there were no emergency lights or any portable lights provided inside our room. The noise and the power outage made our stay less desirable and disappointing considering we were paying P1, 500 per night. We later learned that we're staying in the new building, and the older, adjacent one has generator, so we requested that we transfer to another room within that wing. They assisted us, but this next room was a lot smaller. It's still neat, and the sheets and towels were fresh, but it's a lot less space for all our stuff. The rice breakfasts were okay and were included in the nightly rates, but I think the slightly toasted three slices of Pinoy Tasty with two sunny side ups were overpriced. On the positive note, the owner and the staff were very friendly. The staff let us re-heat our deliveries and take outs, allowed us borrow their plates and utensils, and helped us in renting a tricycle to get to the view deck and a van to the airport. Not perfect, but a pleasant stay still. …

Coron is a locality where part of its urban area is on the hillside, the center is overurbanized and confused. Aquilah Homestay is a bit out of hand, but for those who don't get along with some noise and confusion, this will be an accommodation to take into account. Our room for four adults seemed a little spacious to us. Breakfast has several options, we always chose the pancakes and were delicious. The common parts were nice with some spaces to unease or read. Only two less positive points, the access of the street to the accommodation is not illuminated and could be better arranged, Because it is slightly inclined and without lighting, we had always to turn on the flashlight of our mobile phones, even in the day, the path of about 5 meters, we had to be very careful not to slip or twist an ankle. The second point less positive, was a particularity and not general situation. At check-in, we talked about the need, 3 days later, at check-out we need to take the ferry to El Nido. The receptionist told us that it would be enough to book the tickets for the ferry the day before. We trusted but the day before we found out that there were no more seats on the ferry. We really needed to go that day, because we had checked in at another accommodation already paid for. They managed to find us a radical alternative: a boat like those that do the day tours, fully discovered, instead of the trip last 5 hours, this lasted 8 hours and more, instead of leaving at 6 am, we left at 2 am and were still toasted with a very intense rain.…

Stayed 5 nights. Exceptionally clean room. Breakfast was good, included in the price. Wifi on our floor was slow, tv signal was not working for 3 days, no safe in room. Staff are very helpful and accommodating, and assisted us to book all our tours.

I really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are good, and clean. They replenish our toiletries daily and clean our room. The owners were very much accommodating and kind. It’s like they were made for the hospitality industry. They were very welcoming and they treat us like special guests. I remember asking for extra hangers to hang our clothes, and they gave us tons of it. When I shared that we were having difficulty drying our wet clothes because it keeps on raining when were away, and they immediate offered that they can bring our clothes inside when it rains to help dry them. The breakfast serving portion was also good! Its very filling. Please note though that you'll have to book the breakfast the night before so they can prepare. Super recommended!

Good homestay! Room is clean, bed is comfy. We paid extra for our breakfast but it was cheap and the breakfast was good. Just little bit outskirts from the town. Thumbs up to the owners (husband and wife) they are very accommodating to their guests.

I stayed in a private room with no window as a stopover before starting a 5 day island trip to El Nido! The host was very friendly (despite it being busy due to a ferry being cancelled). I was offered a welcome drink and they were able to offer a hotel transfer from Busuanga airport and also to the port the next day for my trip (only 50 pesos to the port). My room was clean and comfortable with a good working warm shower and both a fan and AC to choose between. The location isn't bad, only a 10 minute walk from the centre of town but do take a headtorch or other form of light to walk along the main road at night as it is not lit until ypu reach the town! Wifi connection was reasonable and there are plenty of plug sockets around the room for charging devices etc. Breakfast is also included and was lovely (although not what I asked for, though I appreciate it was busy!). There are some very steep almost vertical steps up to some of the rooms (I was in MicMic) so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues! You will also hear cockerels crowing at all times of the night but from travelling around the Philippines this is not unusual anywhere that you go!…
