Picture of room seems bigger than the actual. It says it is in Aninunan but its actually in Talipanan. Tricycle from Balitero cost 200 pesos. Tricycle cant go near the accomodation and have to walk to a very muddy road or hike a few walk. We booked here hoping for much secluded beach. But theres no beach front where you can lay down or chill. Instead, have to walk to the other side just to find a very rocky sand. Their kitchen is actually from Sunny beach resort. Dive shop manned by the owner of the resort is Russian and had a hard time to converse in English. Same with the DM trainee who shooed us away when we tried asking her. Diving here is actually more expensive costing to 1700 php more or less per dive because the place is far from the dive sites. They have nearby dive sites though but have to go all the way to Sabang. Nonetheless staff mostly Filipinos are very accomodating. So if you are thinking about diving nor a relaxing spot I suggest go to White beach instead. It will save u a lot of trouble and money.

Nice place for a vacation and nice view but we don't like the person who is incharge in the reception she is too mean by the words she said to my family like "Nasa kapatid na binigay ko na" When we are asking things or concern she is too mean also in checking out she told my father "Kailangan niyo na po umalis" in a mean tone and she just rolled her eyes to my father. We feel like we are not wwelcome in the resort. My father doesn't want to go back to this resort because of the girl in reception

We stayed at De Luna for 10 days and we're blown away by how helpful and friendly the staff were. The hotel is simple but very clean, and the local breakfast menu was super. The Diving at De Luna was world class, the boat picked us up in the morning from the Hotel beach wall and the staff carried on all our gear. We saw turtles every day and the reef life was super, the sheer bio mass was incredible. Our dive guide was knowledgable, confident, and had a great eye for wild life. After the dive we returned to steam towels and rum+cokes. If your not a diver this place probably isnt for you as its quiet and isolated. If your a diver, its paradise.

We had a wonderful time at DeLuna! Great diving, great location, and great staff. We primarily came here for the diving and were able to dive in some spectacular sites. Andrei, who runs the dive shop at DeLuna was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and even wrote a book on diving in this area which we often read in the evenings to find out more about the next day’s dive options. He brought us to some beautiful sites where we saw turtles, puffer fish, and coral gardens among other things. He answered all our questions, and there were always a lot of questions as we are annoyingly enthusiastic and curious. The crew on the boat were also lovely. Super helpful and nice. We felt we were always being taken care of both on the boat and in the water. Also the hotel staff brought us hot towels after our dive and took the time to listen to us babble about our adventures under water. Our room was nice. Comfortable, clean, and air conditioned. The food in the restaurant was great. Especially the Tapsilog on the breakfast menu which quickly became our favourite (especially when it was served with mango). Their crepe with fresh fruit also made the perfect post dive snack. What really made our stay was the staff who were always nice and helpful. They helped us plan our calling tricycles, suggesting activities, and sharing local knowledge. They were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location was exactly what we were looking for- quiet and relaxing, right next to the beach. Perfect place for morning and evening swims and chatting outside in the sun. It is also a short tricycle ride from White Beach and a 30 minute walk from a nice waterfall. Most importantly for us it was never more that 45mins from our dive site and most were a lot closer than that so we didn’t need to wait too long to go diving. All in all we had a wonderful holiday here and are already looking forward to going back. If you want a diving holiday without having to stay in a busy location this place is perfect! -Lara

Located near the more isolated Talipanan Beach i found De Luna a nice place to stay at. The rooms are reasonably priced although pretty basic, and the food was relatively expensive compared to other places on the island. However, being further away from Puerto Galera proper you can definitely notice how much quieter it is. I especially liked the hammock out the back that looked out over the ocean. I recommend walking along the beach out the front of the resort and looking at all of the abandoned buildings along the shoreline. The trikes generally don't drive all the way to the entrance of the resort because the road is still being constructed and will charge around 100pesos to get to and from De Luna to White Beach (i'd recommend bartering it down to at least 50pesos). Overall a nice place and lovely staff.
