Availed the Amami Beach Resort ₱6590 (4pax) all inclusive group promo. That’s 3D2N accommodation will full meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) package. They also have the couple package for only ₱3990. I first availed of this promotional voucher when pandemic started and they needed to make sure that the staff are still being paid despite the pandemic affecting all businesses. The resort also does feeding program for children in and around the area. Amami Beach Resort is located in Talipanan, Puerto Galera. About 20-25mins tryke ride from Balatero Port, usual charge of ₱200-250 or ₱50/pax. We took the RORO as we weren’t in a rush coming from Batangas Pier. JAM Liner charges ₱268 while ALPS ₱260. Montenegro RORO leaves the Batangas Pier at 8AM for ₱425 regular fare and travel is around 1hr 40mins. You have to be early as the queue is usually pretty long just about daily. Besides the waiting area in Batangas is actually nice, looking more like an airport departure area. You have to pay ₱30 terminal fee and environmental fee of ₱120/head in Puerto Galera upon arrival. Please do make sure to get your students bring their school ID to avail of discounts. Getting back to Batangas Pier from Balatero Port we did an advance booking via Kuya Agoy (+63997 074-3378). We paid an extra ₱50/head for the advance booking and he even delivered our tickets at the resort! It did save us time queuing and less hassle as we headed straight to the port entrance to pay for the terminal fee of ₱10/head then waiting area. Departure was 2PM from Balatero Port to Batangas. The resort has beach front accommodation as well as Greenhouses located by the main road, roughly 3mins walk to the beach and mess hall. Staff are amazing, food is fairly priced, everything is delicious (thanks mainly to Ate Briza 👏) and big portions too! Everything was great, staff food and location but the place needs quite a few fixes. Accommodation : we had an issue with the faulty door and door knob. Bathroom : clean and all but drain is a bit clogged as it takes awhile for the water to go down. Service Price List : not updated at all. I did speak to one of the managers (after contacting him via texts messages and call to which he dropped my call and never responded to my text messages) later in the afternoon. He was not apologetic for not getting back to me and didn’t really do much about my concern. A real let down after having dealt with the owner Fabio before. The staff did their best to be able to assist us but there is only so much they can do. Staff gets 15/10 stars ⭐️ while management gets zero ⭐️. È molto deludente. In all fairness to the manager Filippo, he is young and seemed patient listening to me, atleast. It is so sad because this place is amazing, the staff are simply wonderful and food is great! They used to be top of the list here in Trip Advisor and now due to neglect, there isn’t much despite their promotion which helps the place and staff big time.

Good food, cocktail, good escapade in Puerto. Good service, very nice people, attentive and the access to the beach is impeccable. Improvement point would be the bedding and especially the pillow who are not comfortable and the beds who are small

Lovely beachfront villa with access to private beach ! The house is fully equipped with kitchen ( gas stove , microwave. Fridge ) washing machine , wifi. Massive common living room with a lovely seaside view !!! The staff are approachable and helpful. I had a lovely romantic birthday dinner set up on the terrace . Lovely food ! We have been stranded due to Typhoon Paeng and the owner went extra mile to ensure our stay is comfortable despite the electric blackouts . They have generator as well. We had the executive room on the 3rd floor and room is spacious .

However if you want pleasant clean good sized rooms, Friendly staff and good food this is the place. I spent 5 weeks at the resort convalescing. I found it to be a brilliant place to just chill out and relax. The resort as described is split into three sections, 1, Beach, where the reception, restaurant, bar, and typically rustic local style accommodation is situated on the beach front. 2, Garden, set about 100m back from the beach with solidly built accommodation on 2 levels. This pleasant setting is where the SPA bath is situated. 3. Villa, Set about 500m from the reception area with direct access to the beach. I was accommodated in the garden section. My room was airy clean and comfortable with air conditioning, fan and hot shower. The menu in the restaurant was varied with daily specials supplementing the standard. The food was good quality, well prepared and presented. Be aware however that the resort changed its name recently so all the locals, including tricycle drivers still know it as Amami!

Review by Leo 7 years old The restaurant serves good food, especially pizzas, pastas and new years specials. The games like the jenga was fun to play and the chairs that hung from the ceiling were fun to play in There were two dogs that were hungry when they saw we were eating and they started sniffing us We were first in the nice villa but due to a double booking we had to move to a smaller place that wasnt as nice but they compensated by a beautiful lunch if seafood, chicken and rice. This is a nice place but might be a bit boring without friends, luckily I made two friends.

I will try my best to provide an honest review of this place. But keep in mind that each traveler has their own preferences, and this is simply my opinion about what I expected checking in to this place. If you have been to the resort's website, you cannot base your decision solely on the photos and price posted. You may get the rooms cheap, but there is a reason for that. I booked 3 rooms via Booking.com. My decision to book was greatly influenced by the price posted, photos, and descriptions from the resort's website and Booking.com I have stayed in smaller and nipa hut-type resorts over the years, even one with an exposed pipe as a shower. So I can be considerate of the conditions of certain accommodations and services. What disappointed me the most about this resort was the misleading information they posted to attract potential guests. The location - While the hotel reception is right off the beach, the beach is very rocky and can be unswimmable during high tide. This is definitely not a place that kids would be able to enjoy. There was also 1 mini-grocery (sari-sari) in the area. There were also not a lot of restaurants around. So you could be spending a lot of money dining at the restaurant if you don't plan for food wisely. The rooms in the garden area are located outside of the resort vicinity. So you have to walk back out to the main road and cross the street. The hotel provided tricycle service for our luggage and it was a short walk, so it was no big deal. But you will for sure feel so isolated from the main resort. We did not know that this would be the setup. But regardless, we picked these rooms because they were one of the very few air-conditioned rooms at this resort. With all the mosquitoes around, you'd want your room to be as sealed as possible. The rooms - I think the hotel owners focused too much on making the restaurant area "nice", that they forgot they also have the Garden Area Accommodation to maintain. One of the room's window-type AC did not have a cover, and the unit was just exposed. You can see all the dirt that's built up on the filter. The room also felt muggy, so that means the rooms have not been opened for maintenance for a long time. My husband took it upon himself to clean the AC cover. Otherwise, we'd all be breathing in all that stuff being blown out of the AC. There was also no sitting area in the rooms or kitchen. There are a couple of chairs and swings on the porch, so I'm not sure if that's what they meant. The bed was also not as described. You'll get a 2 or 3-inch mattress, and a very thin sheet. And for whatever reason, there was a thumb tack just sitting next to one of the beds. Good thing the child with us did not see it. The water heater in our room also did not work on the first day. There was also a sign posted on the door from the inside about some safety precautions, such as "checking the peephole" before you open the door. There was no peephole. In addition, there was a latch outside the room door, so anyone could literally just lock you in your room. There was also a door by the kitchen with several slide locks. We were told to never open it. The toilet also had very weak plumbing that we had to fill a bucket to flush the toilet every single time. But this is expected from a Pinoy bathroom, I am not as bothered by that as compared to the other safety issues and health hazards. We tried to reason with the hotel staff, in the hopes that they will at least address some of the issues or move us. While the 2 staff we had direct interactions with were nice and courteous, there was nothing they could do as to making any decisions. The receptionist had to relay everything to whoever was in-charge. I heard that one of the other owner was there, but she did not seem bothered by our issues at all, nor did she take the time to speak with us. The Food - It was okay. There was not a lot of selections. But my husband said that the pizzas and pasta were delicious; he enjoyed the Italian food on the menu. We originally booked 4 nights at his resort. We ended up leaving and moving to another resort at White Beach on day three. But only because it took a while to get things sorted out with the resort. We would have immediately left the next morning.

The place is really nice, and very affordable. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The food is good too and we love wine. Easy access to the beach! Although it's the farthest part of Puerto Galera, it's really quiet which we love the most. Would definitely recommend!

Well, here we are back home remising on our short stay at the Amami Resort. It started all back in 2019, when we headed the help cry from the management due to the needed Covid closure and loss of funds. So after reviewing all the pictures posted on line, thought why not and pre-booked a 3 night stay through a voucher. Early Dec 21, we decided the time was there to take some well-deserved relaxation time and planned our stay. Worst place I have ever stayed >> run down old property, in need of maintenance dirty rooms (across the road) others at actual resort dilapidated, none existence of outdoor sittings, no parking, no beach sitting area. Only good item we found in the whole resort was the morning front desk staff and the food. This place should close, do complete proper maintenance and repairs, review what they offer and to which clientele they would cater no trill cheap accommodation for backpackers or very low budget customers. Never ever again and we will wave our outstanding voucher after only our 1 night stay. I hope others will be as honest in their reviews so the resort will take notice and do something about it.
